"One, Two, Three …"

She counted before slowly opening her eyes. The first thing her eyes made contact with was the sun; the heavy light from the window almost blinded her. With her eyes finally adjusting to the light, she looked around the room. Was she in heaven? Definitely not. This doesn’t look like heaven. The room looked charmingly devilish, filled with the scent of wet earth, rich cedar, and a hint of musk. It was a primal, animalistic scent that sent shivers up her sleeves, belonging to someone powerful and alpha.

The door opened quickly, jolting her out of her thoughts.

“Miss Aurora, you are finally awake,” a young lady said, dressed in a uniform.

“My name is Lina, and I have been assigned to be your personal maid,” Lina said with a smile on her face, her round pouty face making her look cute and beautiful.

“Personal maid?” Aurora asked, staring at her with confusion.

“Yes, Miss Aurora. The alpha king has assigned that I should be your personal maid…”
