Gabriela couldn't catch even a bit of sleep, she stood up from the bed and looked at herself on the mirror. It was really happening, she was about to get married to her Boss.

She picked up the portrait frame on top of her reading table and kissed her dad, she held the frame on her arms for some minutes.

So many things were going through her mind, and the more she thought about it, the more she realized, it was getting real.

Her thought process was interrupted by Mrs Ramieez who knocked and came in.

“My sweet girl”

She called out to Gabriela, opening her arms and hugging her tightly.

“You are brave and I'm proud of you” she began and then looked down on the framed picture.

“Your dad is also proud of you”

Gabriela smiled and hugged her mum, trying to hide the fear in her eyes. Getting married to someone you once knew as your Boss was terrifying.

The emotional moment was interrupted by another knock at the door, Jennie stood there with a broad smile, in a baby pink dress.

    The hospital hallways were bright and cold, Gabriela stood at the door of Diego’s room shaking, and scared while Simon stood behind her, silent but present.Inside the room, Diego looked small under the white sheets, he wore an oxygen mask and tubes were attached to his wrist while a monitor blinked beside the bed.Gabriela entered slowly, with her heart in her throat, and tears threatening to fall. Diego looked so fragile.
