Chapter 1

Brad Henderson's voice was like a thunderclap, striking right by my ear. I stood frozen on the spot, even doubting whether I had misheard him.

Everything happening before my eyes was completely different.

It was the eve of the wedding, and once again, Ellie Wagner was crying as she stood at the edge of the rooftop.

However, in my previous life, Brad had only swept a cold glance over her before firmly taking my hand.

"Amy didn't do anything wrong. She doesn't need to make way for anyone."

His tone was incredibly firm.

"My bride will only ever be Amy."

Yet the man who once held me in the palm of his hand was now rushing toward Ellie without hesitation, afraid that if he were a step late, she would disappear before his eyes.

He held Ellie tightly, his arms shaking slightly from the force.

"Don't do anything stupid! Ellie, as long as you come down, I will agree to anything."

Ellie, with red eyes, shrank into his embrace as tears kept rolling down.

"But... but I no longer have the face to see anyone... I've wronged my sister, and I've also wronged Henry."

Henry Casio was Ellie's fiancé, the current don of the Casio family in Sicilana.

If Brad controlled the entire Napoles underworld and was acknowledged by all families as the undisputed king, Henry was one of the few people qualified to sit on equal terms with him.

Of course, no matter how strong the Casio family was, they could not compare to the family behind Brad. In my previous life, Brad used thunderous methods to leave the Casio family severely wounded.

"Let go of her! What do you want with my fiancée?"

At the entrance of the stairs, a tall man walked over slowly, followed by over a dozen fully armed bodyguards.

The air froze instantly.

Brad did not even lift his head, his hands tightly holding Ellie.

"She's unstable right now."

"Brad, she is my fiancée."

Henry sneered, his eyes staring fixedly at Brad.

The gazes of the two men collided in mid-air, as if invisible sparks were exploding.

Inside Brad's usually cold blue eyes, an undisguised possessiveness appeared for the first time.

"From today onwards, she isn't... I'm going to marry her!"

I stood at the very back of the crowd, watching the man who was about to hold a wedding with me publicly announce that he was stealing someone else's fiancée.

My heart felt as if a gash had been torn open.

However, nobody cared about me. Everyone's gaze was concentrated on Brad and Henry, as if I, the actual bride, were just an ornament forgotten in a corner.

Henry roared in a low voice, "Brad, are you crazy? She is your fiancée's younger sister! Everyone in Napoles knows that today is your and Amy's wedding!"

Brad looked at him and said word by word, "No matter what, I will not let Ellie die because she lost me."

Everyone froze.

Only I, who returned through rebirth, understood what his words meant.

Brad regretted not choosing Ellie in the previous life, causing her to jump from the building on our wedding day.

So in this life, even if it meant breaking ‌this engagement, he was going to keep her by his side.

Henry narrowed his eyes, his tone full of danger as he said, "A woman of Sicilana's Casio family isn't someone anyone can just snatch whenever they want."

The bodyguards behind him took a uniform step forward.

The gun holsters made a neat friction sound, and the personal guards behind Brad also raised their weapons.

Both sides were locked in a tense standoff, as if a war was on the verge of breaking out.

Ellie cried as she broke free from Brad.

"No! Don't fight because of me!

"It's all my fault. If I hadn't gotten drunk, this wouldn't have happened. Don Henderson, you don't need to be responsible. Henry, I know I am no longer worthy of you."

She cried until her shoulders shook, looking weak like a fragile flower caught in a storm, a sight that would make any man feel heartache.

"My sister has already been hurt because of me. I don't want to drag anyone else down anymore."

She finally seemed to remember my existence and turned her head to look at me.

I was wearing a white wedding gown, standing alone at the edge of the crowd like an absolute joke.

Brad's gaze fell on me, a trace of complexity and guilt flashing through his eyes.

"Amy, the wedding is canceled. I will give you sufficient compensation."

Pausing for a moment, he said a sentence that only I could understand.

"I have already given you a lifetime of glory and wealth. In this life, I don't want to live with regrets."

It turned out that the deep affection and happiness I believed in were all an illusion. The regret Brad had hidden for a lifetime was not being with Ellie.

So, now given a second chance at life, he abandoned me without hesitation and chose my younger sister.

After learning the truth, Brad broke down completely. He returned to the Henderson family manor in a daze, full of regret. He walked through the door and went straight to find Ellie, his face frighteningly cold."Ellie, leave the manor. I will give you a sum of money as compensation."Ellie was full of disbelief."Brad, what are you talking about? We already held a wedding. I am the donna of the Henderson family. Where do you expect me to go?""We never registered. This wedding does not count."Brad's every word was cold and heartless."I have never loved you. That day, I was only afraid you would do something rash. I can no longer deceive myself and continue down this wrong path."Ellie shook her head, stepping forward to pull at Brad's sleeve, and begged."Brad, I don't long for your sincerity anymore. As long as you acknowledge to the outside world that I am your donna, that is enough. I will stay quietly in the manor and absolutely never disturb you. Please don't drive me

A few days later, Brad drove back to the Henderson family manor, exhausted.Seeing Brad walk through the door, Ellie quickly hurried forward to greet him."Brad, you're finally back. How about we find somewhere to travel and relax?"Brad felt stifled and weighed down. His mind was filled with business matters, leaving him no energy for amusement. His tone was indifferent, carrying undisguised exhaustion and impatience."Not in the mood."Looking at Brad's appearance, the grievances Ellie had bottled up for so long suddenly burst."Brad, why on earth do you treat me like this?! We're married, yet since the wedding, you have been cold to me, without half a shred of sincerity!"She stared fixedly at Brad, every single word carrying bitterness."If you didn't like me, why did you insist on marrying me back then? Why did you give up on Amy and choose me, only to turn around and torture me like this?"Brad froze slightly. Looking at the distraught Ellie, his Adam's apple bobbed twi

Peter stood to one side, looking at Brad's frustrated face, and spoke in a low voice."Don, there are so many thorny projects recently. Replant a batch of the freshest ones."The butler complied. Brad then added another sentence, his tone carrying a gentleness that he himself had not even noticed."They must be white. Amy likes white lilies the most."Ellie, in the distance, stamped her feet hard against the ground in anger, but in the end, she did not erupt. She comforted herself with the thought that Brad had not let go for the time being, and that once more days had passed, he would understand who was truly by his side.No

Henry lifted his hand and gently patted the back of my hand. Then, he walked straight to the front of Brad, his gaze staring directly at him without a single shred of backing down. The entire venue fell into dead silence. Everyone stared at the scene of the two major mafia dons confronting each other once again.Henry's expression was solemn, his tone carrying a hardness that brooked no defiance."Brad, as you can see, Amy chose me willingly. I advise you not to even think about ruining our wedding."His gaze was ice-cold, carrying the unique deterrence of a Sicilana don."If you insist on causing trouble, don't blame me for being impolite. This is Sicilana, not your Napoles where you can act willfully!"With that, Henry raised his hand to signal the bodyguards behind him to step forward."Please escort Don Henderson and his newlywed wife out of here."A crowd of bodyguards surrounded them in a uniform line, adopting a defensive posture and forcing Brad to step back.Brad's fa

As Brad's words fell, dozens of bodyguards in black flooded into the hall. The guests fell back one after another, and the air instantly grew tense.Henry took a step forward, shielding me behind him."Brad, this is Sicilana, not your Napoles.""Give Amy to me." Brad looked at him coldly, his tone hard and stiff. Henry simply laughed. "On what grounds?"Brad's voice was ice-cold, pronouncing each word with deliberate emphasis."On the grounds that she was originally my fiancée. I do not acknowledge this wedding."The smile on Henry's face vanished completely."Whether you acknowledge it or not, does it matter?"The priest acknowledges it, the law acknowledges it, and the entirety of Iacon acknowledges it. As of just now, Amy is my wife."Brad's expression turned extremely unpleasant."She is acting on impulse. Once she calms down, she will leave with me."I finally spoke up calmly, "Brad, I won't leave with you. I'm married now."Brad's expression changed."Amy, stop mak
