I hope Poppy is fine. If there is something that happened to her because of me, I won’t forgive myself. What if she became unwell because I hid my marriage? Sometimes pregnancy will be the reason why small issues become big.

Damn it.

“Your hand is cold, Aunt Christy,” Kelly declared. She tugged my hand. “This reminds me of the snow Daddy and I played before. Are you cold?”

Looking down at her, I answered, “I am fine, Kelly. Thank you for your concern.”

“Will you be always visiting us? I never saw you this past few months. What made you busy?”

“It’s…it’s because of some stuff.”

The child nodded.

“When will you visit again?”

“If I am not busy.”

“Okay.”

I knocked on the door when Kelly and I were already standing in front of Poppy’s door.

“Are you sure they are not sleeping?” Or having sex? I wanted to add but stopped myself.

I missed having a boyfriend of all things. I missed having a cuddle.

“They are not sleeping at all, Aunt Christy.”
