CHRISTY:

A smile curved on my lips as I dreamed of something beautiful. It was me holding a baby and it looked so much like —

I felt the slight shaking of my shoulders. And when I opened my eyes, Everette was silently looking at me. As if he was studying my face and the freckles I had.

“Wake up, sleepyhead. It's time to wake you.”

His words did not automatically register in my mind except for the smile on his handsome face. My hands were itching to brush my fingers on his cheeks and pinched both of his rounded cheeks.

“Rett.”

He smiled when we locked each other's gaze and said, “We are here. I hate to wake you up, but it's getting colder outside.”

He looked so handsome, was the first thing I thought. Everything about him was almost perfect. Did I marry someone like him?

And my dream. What was it about? It seemed like it had something to do with him and our future.

“Tina?” he asked when all I did was look at him. “Do you hear me?”

Why are you so handsome again?

“You think so?” he ask
