Se connecterSienna’s POV
I carried the tray carefully with a bowl of food, a glass of milk and some fruit on it. My hands were shaking a little. I tried to stay calm.I had been thinking about a lot of things. I was wondering if I was too harsh with Noah night. Maybe I should have talked to him gently. Maybe I should have listened to him more.I stood in front of his door took a breath and then unlocked it.The door opened slowly. "Noah Mommy brought-" My worSienna's POV Liam only nodded calmly; it was evident from his expression that he was expecting my reaction.“For more than a week.”I laughed softly because it was difficult to believe that he chose this amazing place for us.“This is too much.”“You deserve it.”However, I did not say anything in response because his words made me feel all warm inside, and I quickly looked down before opening the door of the car.Once outside, the sea breeze instantly caressed my cheeks. I even closed my eyes for a brief moment, and it was a really pleasant sensation.Liam stood next to me and watched my reaction. It was nice to see the way he looked when he saw that I liked the atmosphere.“Do you like it?”I opened my eyes and looked at him. It was hard not to smile then.“Very much.”He smiled in return and pointed at the entrance of the hotel.“Then let’s go inside.”Liam grabbed our luggage, and I followed him to the lobby of the hotel.
Sienna's POV When the plane touched down, I felt a lot lighter right away.I wasn't sure if it was since we had at last got to our place or if, for the last few hours, I had really been able to forget all the issues back home. Once we left the airport, Hawaii's air quickly greeted us.Hot. It was not like the breeze I knew at home.I drew in a big breath and grinned. “Hawaii,” I whispered again.Liam, walking next to me, laughed a bit. “You been saying that for while now”“I still can't believe we're really here.”“Did you think we'd turn back halfway?”I turned toward him with a smile. “Who knows?”Liam shook his head. “You're really strange.”I just laughed. We got our bags from the bag place and then went outside to the pick up spot.Liam had set up all things before, counting the car that would drive us to a hotel. I didn't need to worr
Wilona's POV I could not count too much on him. In case Joshua really decided to change his mind, I had to be ready to make all the preparations myself.I could not allow a single person who was beginning to feel guilt to ruin the plan I had prepared. I opened the messages app and started writing something to Liam."Enjoy your vacation."I stopped right before sending it. Having pondered for a while, I deleted the phrase and rewrote it."Hope you have a good trip. We will talk when you come back."I read the phrase again. It was too nice.I deleted it.This time, I wrote a shorter phrase."I know that you are in Hawaii."I looked at it for a while and then pressed send. Having sent it, I put the phone on the table and waited. One minute had passed. No reply.Five minutes. Still no reply.I smiled slightly. I expected it from him. Right now, Liam most likely was sitting next to Sienna and did not want to risk looking at my message.
Wilona's POV Since this morning, I felt that something was odd at the office. Normally, even if Liam's plan was full, I could see him a couple of times whether he came out of a meeting room, walked to the elevator or just passed by the workers area. But today was unlike any other. I had looked down the hall to his office many times.Empty.I checked the clock on my screen again and it was nearly noon.“Where is he?”I shifted my seat a bit while seeing the folks go back and forth. There was no hint of Liam, so I got up and strolled to his secretary's desk.“Excuse me.”Liam's secretary looked up. “Yes, can I help you?”I tried to smile. “Where is Mr. Liam?”The helper looked a bit puzzled. “Mr. Liam?”“Yes.”“Oh, you don't know yet?”I shook my head. “He is on leave.”I fell silent. “On leave?”
Sienna's POV The light turned green, and the car started moving again. I leaned back against the seat and looked out the window, feeling a sense of calm that I had not experienced in a long time. However, a few minutes later, Liam's phone, which was sitting in the storage compartment between us, vibrated. I instinctively turned toward it.Liam glanced at his phone as well. We were both silent for a few seconds.“Don't look,” I said.He looked at me. “Why?”“We made a promise.”Liam smiled faintly. “Right.”His phone vibrated again, this time for longer. I watched Liam's face and noticed a small change that was difficult to explain. His smile disappeared for a moment, and his hand moved as if he wanted to pick up the phone. However, he stopped himself.“I won't look at it,” he said.I nodded. “Good.”A few seconds later, the vibration stopped. I tried not to think about it, even though an uncomfortable feeling was slowly growing in my
Sienna's POV I looked at the suitcases neatly arranged near the front door while checking one more time to make sure we had not forgotten anything. My passport was already inside my small bag, and my wallet, phone, charger, medication, and a few personal belongings were safely packed as well.I took a deep breath. Finally, we were really leaving. After the exhausting weeks we had been through, I wanted to believe that this trip could be a new beginning for us.I turned toward Liam, who was carrying two suitcases toward the car. “Don't let those get mixed up,” I said.Liam turned around. “Which ones?”“The big black suitcase is mine.”He chuckled softly. “Do you really think I would bring someone else's suitcase?”“I'm just reminding you.”“I've been your husband for years. How could I not know which suitcase belongs to my wife?”I smiled. “Sometimes, you really are forgetful.”Liam walked over and took the small bag from my hand.
Sienna's POV A nervous chuckle washed over me. "No, Noah. Mommy told him a little." “About our Lego house?" “Yes, that too. Has it been reported by Mommy that Daddy produces loud snoring sounds at night? I'm curious to know.”Liam's gaze lit up with excitement. "What did
Sienna's POV “It seems your picnic idea was fully approved,” I said gently.“And it also seems like it’s the perfect idea for today,” he replied, his warm smile slowly making my heartbeat quicken just a little.I nodded, then returned to the stove. “In that case, I’ll prepare our l
Sienna's POV There was no sound as the car stopped moving. The radio track transformed into a soothing piano piece. My fingers were intertwined on my lap, and I observed the simple progress we had made, from the stillness of our surroundings to the peaceful conversations we now have.Lia
Sienna's POV I slowly gazed upwards, pondering on pertinent matters. He didn't answer right away. Just a brief moment, he looked at me and then said, "I feel my gratitude that you are still here with our son." The room became quiet, but not the cold or awkward state. I was so distur
