Chapter 22: An Emotional Evening

I landed in the tree just as Leah’s car pulled up on the driveway. Cassie didn’t look up when she got out of the car, but I hadn't expected her to, as I had only just said goodbye to them before they left my house. 

The window to her room opened a few moments later and Cassie looked out from it and waved at me before closing it again. Why hadn’t she left the window open for me? Was she fed up that I was always following her around? I took a deep breath, maybe it had something to do with the house or Abigail?
