Aria’s POV

He pounced at me, but I quickly dodged.

“Aiden!”

I kept calling his name, but it felt like my voice couldn’t reach him. It was like there was a wall between us, something thick and impossible to break through.

His eyes looked empty, distant, almost hollow.

“This isn’t you!” I shouted, hoping something would snap him back.

I tried to run after Olivia but Aiden suddenly moved in front of me, blocking my path.

I couldn’t go after her, and frustration twisted inside my chest.

“Aiden, please… I need you to hear me!”

I tried to steady my voice even though panic was creeping up my throat.

“I came here for you! The Aristea told me everything. I know you’re in danger. I know Olivia is controlling you! I know none of this is really you!”

Nothing changed in his expression. He didn’t even blink. It was like he couldn’t hear a single word I said.

Suddenly, he charged at me with those sharpened claws. The sound of his growl shook my stomach. He leaped forward so fast that for a second, a

Aria’s POV“We will not allow it!” they declared, each of them standing firm.“You are supposed to protect, Aristea!” they said. “You are supposed to preserve your name. You are the one who formed every pact before. Do not forget your role!”“I’m only starting to understand who I really am… what my bloodline even means. But what you’re doing—this isn’t guidance. This is manipulation!”Their expression didn’t change, but I could tell my words struck something in the council.“You all just want to use me!” I continued. “You want to turn me into some kind of weapon for your goals. And if you think I’ll stand by while you kill Aiden and the rest of Crescent Moon, then you’re wrong. If you go after them… you’ll be fighting me!”They didn’t expect that. I saw it in their eyes—the flicker of hesitation. Maybe even fear.My voice had changed. It came out deeper, heavier, the Aristea was pushing its way to the surface.“This is not the end,” they warned. “You will not like what the council can

Aria’s POV“What?!” Aiden’s voice echoed through the entire hall, sharp, almost shaking the air around us.Before I could even process what was happening, guards rushed in from every direction. In seconds, we were surrounded. Cold spears were pointed at us, the tips so close that I instinctively stepped back.My heart started pounding. He held out an arm to keep me behind him. “Stay here,” he said firmly.I shouldn’t have come here in the first place. I knew this was dangerous. But now that we were cornered by guards and all eyes were on us, it felt like I had walked straight into a mistake that could explode into something bigger than we expected.Up on the throne, the representatives slowly stood up. Their robes swayed as they descended the steps, each movement heavy with authority. The air shifted around the room. The atmosphere grew tense. And then, suddenly, chaos erupted among the alphas standing on both sides of the hall.“This isn’t fair!” one of the alphas shouted. His voice

Aria’s POV“No! Aria, don’t go with them!”Aiden’s voice cracked as he reached for me, his eyes wide with fear. His hands shook, and for a moment I saw the panic he usually kept hidden.“You don’t have to go. Please… I can’t let them take you.”The council stood there like they owned the air we were breathing. Their expressions were cold, unreadable, and it felt like they were judging every move we made. Before I could step closer to Aiden, immense wolf guards suddenly moved in. They grabbed him by the arms, forcing him away from me.“No!” I screamed. The sound tore out of me before I could stop it.“Please—don’t hurt him! You don’t understand what we’ve been through. Please, just let him go!”The leader squinted at me. The rest of the council didn’t even bother to care. Their silence made everything worse.“Let go of me!” Aiden shouted as the warriors who had come with us panicked, but they fell silent when spears were pointed at them.“Please…I’ll come with you! Just release him!”“

Aria’s POV“What? No! You can’t go there!”Aiden stopped me right away. Before I could even pull my hands away, he held both of them firmly and looked straight into my eyes. His grip wasn’t painful, but it was tight enough to tell me he was serious.“Aria, darling… I don’t want you going back there.”“Why?” I asked. I didn’t look away from him.“Aiden, I need to know. Kaelen might be there. He might’ve returned. I need to go and know!”He shut his eyes tightly, the way someone does when they’re trying to hold back frustration…and fear. A second later, he let out a rough, heavy breath. It almost sounded like he was forcing himself not to yell or break down.“Aria, you don’t understand. You have no idea how worried I am for you. I don’t want anything bad happening to you. I don’t want…” His voice cracked a little before he pushed the words out.“I don’t want them taking you away from me. Please.”And there it was—the truth he had been trying to hide. It wasn’t just about the place. It w

Aria’s POVAfter minutes of silence, I finally spoke, but my voice came out weak.“We have to find him first, please.”He nodded slowly. His hand tightened around mine, warm and steady, and then he placed his other hand gently on top of it. It was the kind of touch that tried to hold someone together when they were falling apart.“You need to take your time,” he said quietly. “We will visit the councils. The situation has already reached them. But we still need to be cautious about everything. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.”His voice was calm, but there was tension underneath it.“If they try to use you, I won’t let them,” he added. “I’ll face them myself.”I didn’t say anything. My mind was too heavy. I just stared ahead, not really seeing anything, my thoughts sinking deeper and deeper.Aiden must have noticed because he leaned in and kissed my cheek. His lips were soft, comforting, but I was so lost in my own guilt that I barely reacted. My heart sped up at the touch,

Aria’s POV“Please… take care of her. I can’t lose her! She’s pregnant, and I don’t want anything bad to happen to our twins!”The first thing I heard was a voice, fragile but sharp, floating in and out of my consciousness. It was familiar, but distant, like I was underwater and only catching fragments.Someone replied quickly, “We’re doing everything we can, Alpha,” but the words melted together in my foggy mind.More voices followed—some were calm, some were panicked, and some were rushing around like the world was on fire. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t speak. I just floated there, listening. Then, little by little, I began to feel myself waking up. It was like a door inside my mind was slowly opening. I heard someone gasp.“Alpha, she’s waking up! She’s waking up!”Warm hands covered mine. They were soft, steady, and careful, like someone was trying to pull me gently back into the world. My fingers twitched against the touch. I tried to open my eyes, but the brightness forced me to b
