One

The grey, almost black sky covered the beautiful field of lush looking flowers. The wind carrying the perfumed scent along. It was wild and beautiful and carried the scent of roses and tulips and wild berries plucked fresh out of the green trees.

It was warm and innocent and and a lively atmosphere, full of naivety and heart's desires.

Out there was a young beautiful girl, hopping along in her long skirt made from the finest of silk fabric that was the utmost soft to the touch--almost like velvety rose petals. Her dark long hair braided with flowers hung over her delicate, ivory skinned shoulders, begging to be admired.

She went on collecting the tiny

and

and roses

in

her

hands, all until they were full and she couldn't carry anymoreShe

was

happy. Ecstatic. Warm and content.  She'd

around mother nature and her range of beauty starting from the delicate flowers in her hands and the huge, looming trees that stood all around her like a big, protective shield.

And then there were these green luscious fields sprinkled with scatters of rainbows all around. Flowers--they brought her such joy, she couldn't quite explain.

Too

bad

her

friends

weren't

hereThey were busy trying to attract the boys behind that old wooden shed, just like the true nymphs and dryads they were. They

would've

this

place

as

much

as her, she was sure of it,

since

they

adored

nature

and flowers as

much

as

she

did. She wondered for a moment if she should've brought one of those handwoven baskets with her, ones her mother loved carrying around, and so that way she could've carried a hundred flowers and shown her dear friends the beauty of them as well.

But alas, she hadn't.

Her friends weren't here.

But everything

was still perfectThe wide grin

so.

Although, she

To

To

the

Underworld.

Hades and Persephone.

That was how Hades kidnapped Persephone, the goddess of spring. The famous myth that almost everyone knows. Truly scary at first but it was all out of love, right?

Right.

However, what Hades did was wrong. Like some people say, there had been consequences for his actions. Deadly consequences.

But this was just a legend. Something people really didn't believe in. And why would they?

Places like Underworld surely did not exist. Hades did not exist. Neither did Persephone. Nobody knew where a person went after dying. Some believed in afterlife, some didn't.

After all, there couldn't be just one person controlling all the dead souls out there. Lord of the Dead. He could not exist.

Everyone believed that this was just a story. I believed the same. However, my sweet grandma did not. Which, to be honest, was just because of her old age. That was what my parents told me.

And I was completely fine with that. Really, I was.

But then something happened. And I died.

And

I

found

out

how

wrong

I

actually

was.
