ALPHA XANDER’S POV

If I didn’t have a modicum of respect for Adriana’s father, my fist would have met his face hours ago. He has been upsetting me steadily since he got here, and I didn’t even sit with him for more than thirty minutes. I knew he was on his way, after I’d called for him I knew he would come soon if he was smart. Then I went to tell her, knowing she would appreciate it. She hasn’t spoken to any of them since she came here. I didn’t know how other families were seeing as mine were fucked up, but I thought she would be excited to see someone from her family.

The reaction I got after she entered was something I didn’t expect. I’m not going to mention it now, seeing as we weren’t exactly the best of friends so I doubted she would appreciate it. Her fear was potent in the room, she didn’t even try to hide it. That angered me more than her father ever could.

She should not be scared of him, I owned that! If she is to fear anyone in this world, then it should be me, not her we
