CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

THE PECULIAR LARA

Clara was loving talking to Lara. Megan walked in as the two had been talking for over an hour and had forgotten the time; Lara was perplexed to learn that she had attended so many famous artists and was seeing pictures of celebrities that Clara had attended to, when Megan walked in:

" Look at that, two people I love! So you have already met and it looks like you got along very well. " exclaimed Megan, throwing herself on the sofa between the two.

" Otavio will be angry with the mess we made on his couch," Lara said. " Why is the sofa without the blanket?” she asked worriedly, her big, beautiful eyes staring at the blanket folded on a chair.

" Oh, he wouldn't relax, so I took it off and left it there for him to relax.”

" Wow," said Megan. " Lara is in charge of the house cleaning here, and, believe me, he is the most annoying.” Megan spoke the last word softly, for fear he would hear.
