Chapter 6

Author: KarenW
Isabella’s POV

Despite the chaos—Vivienne scrambling to stop the video, my father staring at her with a darkened face, Julian rushing to my side with clumsy excuses—I calmly scanned the room and stepped down from the stage.

“You bitch!”

Vivienne abandoned the DJ and stormed toward me. “What happened to your legs, Bella? Were you just pretending—waiting for tonight? Acting innocent while counting down the seconds to humiliate me?”

I faced her head‑on.

She looked terrible. Seconds ago she’d been smug. Now she was exposed—shaken and furious.

I wondered if I’d looked the same in their eyes in my past life.

I smiled, took a step toward her, then stopped. “Does it feel good, Vivienne?” I asked quietly. “Finding out the one person you thought you controlled… was the one who ruined you.”

I caught her wrist and slapped her first.

“Since you came to my family, I’ve done nothing wrong,” I said evenly. “I treated you like my own sister. Sometimes even better than my own

Isabella’s POVToday was my thirtieth birthday. It also marked five years since I became the Don of the Vale family. If my father were still alive, he’d be proud of how much the Vale had grown under my rule.“Don,” a maid said, hurrying over, her face tight with worry. “Those two crazy men are back at the front gate. They’re shouting—demanding to see you.”“Two strange men?” I frowned. “Julian and Sebastian?”It had become a habit of theirs—showing up at my front door on my birthday. But for the past few years, I’d been traveling. So when they came knocking, I was always long gone. But this year, I finally hosted a party at my manor. And just like clockwork, they appeared again.I paused. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious… I wanted to see what they’d become.…I’d heard how badly Vivienne’s life had unraveled—how she clung to a rich man after losing the baby, only to be passed around like a plaything in his circle. But Julian and Sebastian? I’d barely heard a word. When I saw the

Isabella’s POV“You killed me—and became the Don of Vale in my last life. You had endless money. Endless men. And I died—quietly, painfully—right here. In the very spot you’re tied to now.”She stared at me like I’d lost my mind. “Have you gone crazy, Isabella?”I shook my head. “No. I wish I were. I was pregnant. You had succeed in lettting Julian and Sebastian sleep with me. I gave up my inheritance for that child—gave you everything that was supposed to be mine.”A bitter laugh slipped out before I looked back at her. “The woman standing in front of you now isn’t the naïve Isabella Vale you knew. She’s the one reborn—after being murdered by the people she trusted most.”I leaned in slightly. “You were so close. You almost had everything again in this life. But now we’ve switched places.”My voice dropped. “I’m the one in control.”“And you?” I smiled faintly. “You have nothing.”“No,” Vivienne whispered, panic setting in. “You’re lying. You are delusional, crazy bitch.”“Is that all

Isabella’s POVI cut her off. “This is getting boring.”I smiled, “I’ll allow you to take your golden boy out of Vale alive tonight.”A pause.“But—” My gaze swept the room. “Every influential family in this country is here. If you respect my father—or me—then don’t do business with this man ever again. Don’t offer jobs to him either.”I smiled faintly. “He might try to crawl back in,” I said, voice calm but cold. “But trust me—he’s not worth the risk.”I turned to look at Julian, who was barely conscious, blood soaking through his pants.“He’ll have no help. No allies. Not in business, and definitely not in our world.”Julian had always been his family’s one shot at staying relevant. If I’m being honest, he never deserved someone like me to begin with.If the Vale family sat at the table, affording the bread… Then Julian and his family were the rats, scrambling for crumbs underneath it.And to think—I once seriously imagined a future with him. Even if it meant giving up my family’s su

  • From Dead Pregnant Bride to Ruthless Don   Chapter 4

Isabella’s POVAfter returning to the manor, the agency delivered their findings on Julian, Vivienne, and Sebastian.Julian and Vivienne had started sleeping together nearly a year ago. Since then, they’d met behind my back countless times—taking trips funded by my family, exchanging confidential information, and letting Julian into Vale business matters he should never have known. One report stood out. Three months earlier, a major deal between the Vale family and another powerful house had collapsed at the last minute. My father believed the other Don had simply backed out.The truth was uglier. Vivienne had leaked our pricing to Julian. He’d used it to undercut the deal—negotiating for his own benefit. There was one thing my father would never forgive: betrayal of the family’s business. That was part of the reason he’d asked me to choose—marriage or inheritance. If I married Julian, I would no longer be a Vale. I would have to step away from everything. If my father learned that Viv
