Chapter 8: If she kills, I'll burn the corpses!

'Dear President, you can at least inform about the new plots and twist and turns in your manga. How am I going to cooperate otherwise?' Liu Jiang thought.

He coughed twice, "I apologize, Young Mistress. It's my fault."

Tang Li raised an eyebrow before shrugging off. Women had an accurate sixth sense, and she could feel that this man didn't respect her as much as he was showing on his face. Not like she cared though!

"You are not getting your salary this month," Mo Yuhan sternly said.

Who gave him the right to compliment his wife?

Liu Juang broke in a cold sweat but still, he didn't dare to utter a single word. His father won't let him enter the house by then.

Tang Li's lips tilted up in a mesmerizing smile as she turned around to look at the man "Jealous? But Mr. Jiang first said that we both look like a pair made in heaven."

The man pursed his lips at the word 'jealous' before replying "En," he paused as he turned to look at his secretary "Good. Your salary is tripled."

The man was speechless as he released a sigh of relief and thought 'Phew...Close...That was too close.'

"Mr. Jiang, what will you like to have, tea, coffee, or something else?"

Secretary Liu glanced at his president who doesn't seem to have any objections with it so he replied "Uhm. Tea is fine."

Tang Li nodded before walking towards the kitchen, wanting to give the men some space.

''You should just sit here, I'll do it,'' He didn't have the heart to let her work in the kitchen.

''No need, I can do it,'' Tang Li spoke sternly, she was not a porcelain doll as the man was treating her with such delicacy.

Mo Yuhan hesitatingly nodded even though he didn't want to.

''President, about the recent project, we have re-checked it and it is practically excellent with the cooperation of Ash Corporations," said Secretary Liu.

Mo Yuhan glanced at the man before asking ''You can drop the formalities in private."

Tang Li just returned to ask him which tea he would prefer and she heard this sentence.

Her conscience pricked her because she was eavesdropping. But who is she? She is 'the Tang Li' who can even lecture her conscience by saying that 'No darling conscience, who told you this is eavesdropping? Huh, you fool, this is just gathering information!'

'Furthermore, who told them to discuss here, I can't just close my ears right?'

Secretary Liu smiled, ''Sorry pre...big brother...hehe...You know it's quite tough to maintain the balance. Well, bro... I.....Leave it..."

''She is my wife, not any business deal that I have to make sure has high profits," The temperature in the surroundings dropped even further.

Though he is black-bellied, Mo Yuhan has never been a scheming person to his family. Yes, he married her on an impulse but so what? He is ready to accept the consequences of it; be it good or bad.

But since she said that she will eventually reveal her identity, he would just give her some space rather than investigating her behind her back.

Tang Li almost squealed hearing the word 'wife' coming out of his mouth.

Liu Jiang sighed as he said ''When I came here, I saw the latest Bugatti Chiron parked outside your villa. That car is only one in the whole world. I asked the driver and he replied it belongs to the Madam who lives here. I thought it must be some misunderstanding. But when I came inside, I knew it was not...'' He hesitated to speak any further.

Mo Yuhan's face was calm as ever. But the calmer he was, the more dangerous he could be.

Liu Jiang knew he has dug his own grave as he continued ''When I came inside, I saw her dressed in Ralph Lauren's limited-edition dress which also happens to be the only one in the world. It is designed with diamond refined threads and it is almost as expensive as this villa of yours," he paused before adding ''I have seen both of my cousins squealing like idiots while looking at the outfit in the magazine. Those good-for-nothings had even tried to lay their hands on it by using our family's name but were rejected. And... And.."

Mo Yuhan didn't say anything as he waited for him to continue. But behind the wall, the 'information gatherer' paled. No wonder, Secretary Liu was staring at her as if there are millions of dollars hung on her.

She immediately started cursing herself and her secretary inwardly 'Why the hell am I this expensive today? Couldn't you have sent something more low profile to me? Let's have a civilized discussion when I reach office today.'

A certain secretary sneezed while sitting on her office desk.

It wasn't like she didn't want to tell him her identity but how was she supposed to do that. Like 'Hey husband, meet me. I am Tang Li, the CEO of Ash Corps.''

Liu Jiang had no choice but to continue since he has already started the mess ''Did you noticed her set of her earrings and anklet? That was the set for which your little sister, Mo Jia begged you. But due to your busy schedule, you informed me too late and it was already sold by then. I asked about it but the auctioneer said that neither he can offend us nor the other party. Even her shoe is the latest edition launched by Manolo Blahnik which is even more expensive than two latest sports cars combined'' he paused and added ''Her Patek Phillipe's watch is worth millions and is studded with diamonds...What watch? Even the lip gloss she used looks like the latest Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer which is more costly than triple the amount of my house. Now, what do you have to say, bro?"

Mo Yuhan's face was expressionless yet cold as he replied ''You gazed at my wife's lips?"

Tang Li's almost stumbled from behind the wall. Out of all those important things, this man only noticed the 'lips' part. She couldn't understand how his brain worked.

Liu Jiang couldn't find his voice anymore. He was simply shocked and speechless. Out of all, the things he mentioned, his big bro had to point out that lips' topic.

'What sin have I committed in my past life?' he thought.

But then again, he had to calm himself as he said ''No bro, it was purely coincidental because fuchsia pink happens to be a bright color and only AEL has that lip gloss shade so... On a serious note, bro, do you want me to investigate her? Her background is not simple. What if it is illegal?"

Previously, he was happy as long as Mo Yuhan found himself a woman since the man always kept them at an arm's length. But now that he married one, Liu Jiang was worried about her background. Moreover, that woman seems to affect big brother's feelings.

According to him, as the heir of the Mo Family, he shouldn't have hard feelings for anyone. No one should be able to control him, not even his wife.

Tang Li lips twitched as she coldly glared at the man. Illegal? Are you sure?

Mo Yuhan leaned back on the sofa like the King he was as he calmly spoke "Even if she is involved in illegal dealings then...'' Mo Yuhan paused whereas Liu Jiang looked at him like a criminal waiting for the verdict to be issued "If she is involved in those things, she just has to lift a finger and inform me and I'll make sure to remove all the traces and erase the proofs that will point at her. If she kills people, I will burn the corpses because my heart trusts her so I know she will never do such things without any reason."

"In short, I trust her and I believe that she will eventually show her identity in front of me. So, I'll be patient with her. Is it enough?" the man added in a serious tone.
