Mira’s POV

Beta Dahlia’s words cut through me like a knife. I was thankful to the head maid for pulling me away when she did.

“Hurry up, girl, I don't have all day,” the head maid called, snapping me from my spiraling thoughts. I hadn't realized how far ahead she’d gone. I quickened my steps, clutching the stack of bedsheets tighter against my chest.

We arrived at the Alpha family’s residence…towering above the rest of Pine Shadows like a watchful sentinel. It was sleek and modern, yet edged with old pack symbols carved into the stone arches. This was the first time I had ever been allowed near the Alpha’s private chambers, and I couldn't help but stare as we made our way up the wide staircase, heart thudding.

At the top of the stairs, a young Omega ran up breathless, whispering urgently. The head maid turned, frowning.

“I'm needed below,” she muttered, her eyes flicking to me. “Take the corridor to the right. Last door at the end. That's the Alpha’s quarters.” She paused, gaze sharp. “Do well if you want to last here. You know you're on your own now.”

Her words left a cold trail down my spine.

I should have waitEd until i finished my duties. But grief clung to me like a second skin, heavy and breathless. I missed my mother so much it hurt to stand. How did it come to this? Abandoned, alone, pretending to be invisible?

I had never felt this lonely in my whole life.

I bit my lip, holding back the sting behind my eyes as I approached Liam’s door. For a moment, I leaned my forehead against the cool wood, trying to catch my breath, wishing for just a second of escape from this suffocating reality.

And then I felt it.

Strong arms wrapped around me from behind. Tight, warm, stealing the breath from my lungs. I gasped, choked softly, but didn't fight it. I knew that scent. Liam

Heat stirred low in my belly. The sheets slipped from my hands, scattering around my feet. We both bent at the same time, and we collided.

For a heartbeat, I froze, caught in the pull of his gaze.

His eyes… those deep, flickering brown eyes locked on mine, raw with confusion and something else I couldn't name. My heart pounded so loud I was sure he could hear it.

“Shit.” I heard him mutter under his breath.

I shifted instinctively, brushing against him as I reached down for the fallen sheets… and that's when I felt it. His arousal, hard and throbbing, pressed against me

My breath caught; I didn't know where to look or what to do. My lips just parted in pure shock.

Then, without warning, his lips claimed mine. A desperate, hungry kiss that sent me stumbling back until my shoulders hit the door, creaking it open.

His left hand slid around my waist, firm, possessive, like he already knew I belonged to him. The door shut behind us with a soft thud, the sheets falling from my arms once again, forgotten.

He kissed me like he was starving for it.

Maybe I was too. Maybe that's why I didn't stop him.

His mouth on mine, his scent, his strength, it was all too much. Too intoxicating. I could feel my nipples growing beneath my dress, pressing shamelessly against his chest, but I didn't care. I wanted more.

He slipped the straps of my pinafore from my shoulders, slow and tentative, until they hung at my waist. My breath hitched. I should have been embarrassed, I should have been terrified, but all I felt was heat.

When his hand slid under my dress, fingers grazing my thighs, searching, whimpered softly. And when they brushed over the thin fabric of my panties, a moan slipped from me before I could stop it.

“You shouldn't want this, Mira. Not now. Not while you’re still mourning.” The thought flickered through my mind, a thin thread of guilt weaving through the burning ache inside me… but it did nothing to stop the desire rising inside me

But then, he paused and looked at me, sensing my distraction and seeing the tears lingering in my eyes.

His forehead rested gently against mine, his chest rising and falling with uneven breaths.

“Why were you crying?” he murmured, voice rough, barely a whisper.

I squeezed my eyes shut. The question pierced something raw inside me. My chest tightened, but no words came. How could I explain the grief, the loneliness, the longing—the way I’d stood outside his door wishing for an escape from my own life?

I tried to speak, but all I managed was a shaky exhale.

His fingers brushed my cheek, soft, almost reverent. His eyes searched mine, gentler now.

“Do you want this?” he whispered, voice low, unsure, like he was trying to rein himself in.

My heart thudded so hard it hurt. I was still burning from everywhere he’d touched. I didn't trust my voice, but I managed a small, trembling nod.

That was all it took.

In one swift motion, he lifted me, carried me to his bed. As he laid me down, the top button of my shirt popped open, heat rushing to my cheeks. But the way he looked at me…like I was something he couldn't believe he was touching, made me shiver.

He climbed over me, unbuttoning the rest of my shirt, his gaze dark and intense. His mouth closed over one breast, his hand cupping the other, sending shudders through me that left me gasping.

“Yesss, Alpha…” The words slipped out in a whisper, surprising even myself.

His growl rumbled through his chest, a sound so primal it made my core clench, made me ache for more.

He kissed his way up to my ear, grazing it softly with his teeth, making my whole body shiver.

When his tongue tangled with mine again, the kiss turned heated, possessive, claiming. I gave in, wrapping my arms around him, wanting to remember this… every touch, every gasp, every tremble.

He shifted, sliding one leg between mine, pressing against the soaked heat between my thighs. I gasped, eyes fluttering open. His fingers found the waistband of my panties, tugging, desperate, and my breath hitched again.

My legs parted for him willingly, aching to be touched. And then…

A knock.

My heart jumped.

We both froze, breathless.

Panic flashed in his eyes as he quickly pulled up his shorts, while I scrambled to button my shirt with shaking fingers, heart hammering in my chest.

The door creaked open.

I grabbed the old sheets, fumbling to make the bed, pretending nothing had happened. My heart was pounding so loud I could barely hear anything else.

Beta Dahlia’s voice slid through the room like blade

“Quiet the mess in here for a simple sheet change.”

I kept my head low, focusing on the sheets, hands trembling.

Liam sat across the room, pretending to be absorbed in work files spread across his desk.

“Leave us, servant girl,” Dahlia’s sharp voice cut through the room, and I flinched.

I didn't need telling twice.

Clutching the sheets tightly, I fled the room, nearly stumbling as I hurried down the stairs.

I didn't look back.

Not until I reached the servant quarters, where I collapsed onto my bed, heart racing, breath shaky, hands still trembling with the ghost of his touch.

Only then was I able to release my breath, which I didn't even realize I’d been holding.

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   The One Who Watches 211

The Spirit of War’s POVI have watched many wars in my time as spirit of war. From mountaintops covered in mist…From treetops shivering in the wind…From shadows cast by moonlight and from the cracks between mortal breaths.I have seen empires rise and burn to ashes.I have seen kings crowned in blood and gods devoured by their own reckless creations. But rarely do I witness a war that shakes even the realms of the spirits. This was such a war.I watched the battlefield erupt below me like a furious tempest of fur and steel, driven by the blind and brutal anger of two packs who had nearly destroyed one another, only to be forced to unite against a darkness that was older and hungrier than any of them had ever seen.Domanek Vale…Even in the realm of the spirits, his name was whispered as a curse.A mortal man who had allowed the shadows of the underworld to nest inside his soul until he was nothing but a vessel for their insatiable hunger for blood and chaos. But even vessels can brea

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   The Turning of the Tide 210

Mira's POVI had never seen two men change so quickly…not out of fear, but out of love for their children.Alpha Harold’s eyes softened first. He looked at Liam, and despite the roaring tension between the armies, there was nothing but pride in his voice when he spoke. “You’ve become the man I hoped you would be,” he said. “And you made the right choice in standing with Mira. I couldn’t have asked for a better future Luna.” Then he turned to Nate with a firm nod. “And you… thank you. For being loyal. For being the brother Liam needed.”Liam bowed his head, but his hand tightened around mine. I felt him shaking as emotion overwhelmed him.My father spoke next with a thick voice and tears in his eyes. “Mira… Cael… you’ve done what no one else had the courage to do. You uncovered the truth, united these packs, and spared us from a senseless war. Whatever will come next, in this world or the next, you will always have my blessings. Both of you.”Cael’s face tightened for once without bitt

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   The Final Revelation 209

Mira’s POVThe traitors had barely finished crawling to Domanek’s feet when the plains fell into a suffocating silence. Every pair of eyes from Moonlit and Pine Shadows stayed fixed on the corrupted man sitting on the demonic stallion, as if staring long enough might make him turn back into the seemingly harmless noble they once knew. But the man on that horse wasn’t someone who ever belonged to either pack.He shifted his attention slowly and deliberately toward the two Alphas standing at the front of their armies. My father and Alpha Harold braced themselves, but nothing could prepare anyone for what came next.“At last,” Domanek said, spreading his hands as if welcoming honored guests, “the long awaited reckoning is here.”The words came out with such calm finality that several warriors shivered even more. I felt Cael’s fingers twitch beside me, and Liam's breathing increasing rapidly behind my shoulder. Nate muttered a curse under his breath, and we all stared at the mad man.Doma

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   The Shadow's Army 208

Mira’s POVThe strange army marched closer until their individual faces and weapons came clearly into view. They stopped only a few hundred feet away, forming a wall of bodies and weapons that was so vast it seemed to swallow the horizon behind them. They weren’t wolves from any known pack, neither were they ordinary either. They were a mix of everything wrong…rogues, wanderers, deserters, and outcasts…but warped somehow. They looked harder and crueler, and their eyes carried a bloodlust that just didn't seem natural. They were a collection of dark corruption, unified under a single darker master.I stared at the man on the enormous black stallion at the front. He was tall as ever, broad shouldered, but everything else about him looked as if it had been dug up from the darkest path of the underworld.Brakk…It was Brakk the rogue traitor. But he was no longer that Brakk. This was a twisted version of him…A creature wearing his shape.Cael had seen him as well. “No,” he whispered. “No.

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   War 207

Mira’s POVMy heart stopped.“No!” I screamed. But the command was already echoing across the plains, rolling through the armies like a wave. Warriors lifted weapons and cheered loudly as commanders repeated the order, then began to take formation as they advanced towards the enemy. Two armies. Facing each other. Waiting…One order away from tearing themselves apart. And the Shadow was probably somewhere watching…Waiting and smiling as his plan was about to be fulfilled. When the two armies were finally face to face, My father stood in front of our forces, with his Alpha aura vividly radiating from him. Harold stood with equal pride across the dry wind swept stretch of land, with his men bristling behind him.And he was the first to speak out.“Rowland! Call off your mutts and surrender peacefully, or I will make sure that none of you leave this field alive!”My father snarled right back, no way intimated by Harold's threats. “You think I’ll back down? Surrender your side and hand over

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   The Breath Before War 206

Mira’s POVThe moment the warrior finished speaking, the tension across the camp suddenly spiked until even the air felt like it was holding its breath. My father stood rooted in place, knowing fully well that he now had a very difficult decision to make, with very little time to think about it as his warriors were now very restless. But I didn’t have time to wait for him.“Father,” I said quickly, stepping back into his line of sight, “we have to release Liam and Nate. Right now.”The murmurs erupted instantly. Disbelief. Outrage. Scoffing. Even Halvar looked as if I had just slapped him.Father blinked at me. “Mira, this is not the time…”“It is exactly the time,” I interrupted boldly. “They came here to warn us. They are not the enemy…The Shadow is. And if we want even a chance at stopping this war, we must let them go back to their pack. They are the only ones who can help us reach Harold before so many lives are unnecessarily wasted here today.”Halvar was still not done, and he
