Mira’s POV

The room they gave me was small but neat, tucked away at the far end of the Alpha wing. A tray of untouched soup waited on the table, its steam long since faded. I sat by the window, knees drawn tightly to my chest, gazing out at the Moonlit courtyard as the sun dipped behind the trees.

Below, wolves trained diligently in the fading twilight. Their movements were sharp, disciplined, their armor catching faint glimmers beneath torchlight. This place thrummed with power, steeped deeply in history.

Kira stirred within my mind. “He knows, Mira. He knows exactly who you are.”

My fingers tightened around the windowsill. “I know.”

A soft but firm knock jolted my attention. My pulse quickened.

Rising swiftly, I opened the door to find Alpha Rowland standing there, alone.

No guards, no formality. Just him… tall, broad-shouldered, his presence commanding yet steady. Up close, the years show on his face… faint lines around his intense eyes, his dark hair touched subtly by gray. He stu

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   Whispers in the Water 33

Mira’s POVThe day was fading fast, but I remained outside my room, lost somewhere between reality and memory. The silence around me wasn't the peaceful kind, rather it was the kind that suffocated you and makes breathing feel like a battle.I had so many questions that needed answering, but there was no help in sight. What was I doing? What did they really want from me? Was I even healing… or just pretending?I hated feeling this vulnerable. Back at Pine Shadow, I would probably be too busy working to be thinking about my life. But here… surrounded by strangers who sometimes smiled too kindly and sometimes stared too hard…I felt exposed. Like every part of me was being quietly dissected by a pack I wasn’t sure would ever truly accept me.I heard light footsteps, but I didn't even bother to look up…I had no interest.Cael.He was alone. He looked like he had just returned from his usual evening run. I could sense his eyes on me, probably wondering why I was brooding alone. There was s

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   Regret in the Shadows 32

Liam’s POVThe silence in my chambers felt louder than any argument I’d ever had with Kai.I sat on the edge of the bed, elbows braced on my knees, my thoughts a tangled storm I couldn’t outrun. The incident with Dahlia and the Omega girl had been shoved to the back of my mind… or so I told myself… but another, heavier weight pressed harder on my chest. Mira’s scent was still clung faintly to the room, ghost-like, refusing to fade. It wasn’t supposed to linger this long. And yet it did. As if the walls themselves missed her.Or maybe it was just me.Kai had been prowling all day, his voice breaking through every barrier I tried to put up.“You let her go.”“She was ours.”“You chose the wrong one.”I groaned in frustration, pressing my palms to my eyes, wishing I could mute him, he didn't budge. But he never stopped when he was right… never stopped when the truth I buried clawed its way back to the surface.Weeks had passed since the council banished Mira, and yet… the ache hadn’t dul

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   A Different side of Dahlia 31

Mira’s POVI barely remembered placing my head on the pillow before exhaustion claimed me entirely. Dreams wrapped me in gentle arms, threading whispers of silver moonlight and soft lullabies. For the first time in ages, rest felt peaceful, carrying fragile traces of something that felt remarkably like hope.A loud knock jerked me awake. Blinking sleep from my eyes, I sat up abruptly, startled to hear Cael’s urgent voice filtering through the heavy wooden door.“Mira, wake up. Training is about to start. The warriors won’t wait forever.”I groaned softly, sliding out of bed to open the door. Cael stood impatiently outside, arms folded, brows arched in mild amusement.“Did you oversleep?”“Maybe,” I muttered, stifling a yawn. “It wasa long night.”“Clearly.” His gaze drifted over my rumpled clothes and tangled hair. “Hurry and dress. They’re eager to meet with Alpha Rowland’s daughter. I hyped you to the warriors, so try not to embarrass me.” He winked lightly, a smirk playing on his l

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   Healer's archive 29

Mira’s POVUnder the cover of darkness, Cael and I moved swiftly toward the healer’s archives. The chill of the night air bit sharply at my skin through my cloak, heightening my nerves and determination.“Stay close,” Cael murmured, his voice barely audible above the gentle rustle of leaves underfoot. “This area’s guarded heavily.”I nodded silently, pulse quickening. My senses sharpened with each careful step. Ahead loomed the archive building… dark, foreboding, yet brimming with the promise of truths yet uncovered. Stone walls wrapped around it, tall and stern, their shadows dancing under the pale moonlight. We paused at the edge of a dense shrubbery, holding our breaths, we watched two warriors exchange brief words as they completed their patrol. Cael motioned me forward the moment their steps receded, leading us toward a narrow entrance tucked discreetly around the side.“How exactly did you secure this entrance?” I whispered cautiously as he pushed aside a thick ivy curtain cover

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   The council 28

Mira’s POVThe morning light streamed through the high windows of my room, casting soft golden lines across the floor. I hadn’t slept much… the night had been a whirlwind of revelations and Cael’s reluctant but significant alliance. Still, my body moved with a sense of purpose as I dressed, my fingers swift and steady despite the storm that still lingered in my chest.Today, I would face the Moonlit council. And I would do it as Samantha’s daughter. As Alpha Rowland’s daughter. As Mira Snow-Storm.I tightened the sash of my deep green robe… a gift from Eryna. Simple, but it carried the scent of forest herbs and felt grounding against my skin. I braided my hair tightly, letting the silver glint of my snow-white strands shine like defiance. My legacy was no longer a secret. Let them try to deny it.A soft knock drew my attention.“Come in,” I called.A young attendant stepped in and offered a small bow. “The Alpha requests your presence in the eastern chamber. The council is waiting.”I
