"They watched as everybody discussed without involving them. After a while, Mr. Gordon finally said, 'What do you think, Joyce? You're not getting younger. Let's hold the wedding this year? What do you say?' Finally, someone is seeking their opinion.

"I think there is a misunderstanding here. Jerry and I are not what you think," Joyce told them. "What? This jerk refused to take responsibility?" Jerry's father asked.

"Responsibility for what?" Joyce wondered. "While the luncheon is on, the both of you sneaked out of the party. Do not be ashamed; it's youthful hormones," Grandpa Lloyd said. "Or are you trying to get pregnant before the wedding? That's a nice idea too," he said.

"No one's getting married. I don't even know Jerry until today. I have been hearing of the Gordons and that their heir is remarkable, but I don't know him. He had too much to drink, so I offered my bed to him. He only slept while I browsed through my phone.
