A Little Bit of Honesty

I turned around and gasped. Alex stood less than two feet away from me. His dark hair was combed up, exposing every magnificent angle of his face. His full lips were curved into a sinful smirk. His black suit jacket was unbuttoned, as was the top of his charcoal shirt. I gaped at him with my mouth open as my brain struggled to collect all pieces of the information. “Why are you—” I cut myself off as the acknowledgment came. “You are Corbin's business partner,” I breathed and stumbled back.

He nodded, and the smirk turned into a sultry smile. “I am, although I prefer to call him MY business partner because it was my project that I've been working on for seven years.”

I nodded, and somehow my eyes drifted down to his crotch, instantly noticing the swell filling his black slacks. God! Why was I even looking there?! My gaze instantly snapped back to his face, only to watch his grin widen. Heat flooded my cheeks.

he's asking too much..6 or 7 months of pretending he is engaged means sleeping with her and that is messy in every way..she'll try to get pregnant and it will basically be a repeat of his brother
