Logan had walked into the bar with just one goal in mind. Escape. He wanted to escape. He wanted to run from all the problems that seemed to always be chasing him without giving him a simple respite. He wanted to run away from it all. He wanted to run away.

Which was how he’d found himself at the bar, talking to a strange yet intriguing woman. She was putting on a mask just like him, already nursing a drink. He’d been hesitant about approaching her at first but now, all his initial reservations were long gone.

“You think so much of yourself.” She peered down at him.

“What can I say? I am so much already.” He shrugged his shoulder in a laidback manner.

She let out a small chuckle before shaking her head. Logan watched take down all her drink. She called out to the bartender and he immediately appeared.

“I want whatever it is he’s having.” She said to him, a lingering smile on her lips while she gestured to Logan.

The bartender smiled in return and went to attend to the order. It didn’t take long before the bartender came back with the Rossini. He poured her a glass before going back to what he’d been doing.

She turned back to Logan, her eyes glistening with what looked like a challenge. She took the glass in her hand and began drinking the Rossini. Logan found himself unable to tear his eyes away from her.

Her long white hair fell down past her shoulders. It seemed to glisten under the moonlight. When she was done drinking, she settled her gaze on him. Her blue eyes seemed to beckon on him, daring him to venture further if he could.

He felt a heat rising in him, one he’d once thought he’d never feel again in his life. It was like the heat was moving to every corner of his body, threatening to consume him completely. His grip on his glass tightened.

“Is that a challenge?” He asked, a smirk on his lips.

“Whatever you want to take it as.” She returned his smirk with one of her own.

A rumble sounded from his chest as he chuckled. He’d made the right choice by coming to approach her for the night. He knew it was a choice he would not regret no matter how the night ended.

“What’s your name?” He asked, eager to know more about her.

She didn’t respond immediately. Her eyes were on him as she continued to watch him, trying to decipher what his thoughts were and what he was possibly thinking.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” She had that smile on her face.

It was getting impossible to think logical with the way she was looking at him. Like her voice wasn’t seducing enough. It was a miracle he was able to sit down and listen to her without completely melting into putty.

He was sure that if this woman asked him to get on his knees, he’d worship her till the next day. It scared him that he was so down bad over someone he barely knew but he was way past caring. Maybe it was the drink. It wasn’t that though. He knew he wasn’t light-headed.

“You’re deflecting the question.” Logan said, pointing out the obvious.

“No I’m not.” She slid a finger over the table, her eyes still trained on him.

Was it just him or was it suddenly feeling hot? He looked around him. Most people in the bar where in their own bubbles, oblivious to the growing tension between the two of them.

He simply smiled at her. They remained like that for some time, just watching it other. It was like they were in a silent competition. Waiting for the other to make the next move.

“How do you like your drinks?” He asked, eager to break the silence.

“Tall, dark haired,” She paused, her eyes raking over Logan. “Grey eyes, incredibly sexy.”

He swallowed down as her words settled in his head. It was pretty obvious where she was going with this conversation. The rational part of his head was screaming at him that he had responsibilities. He was the Alpha. He couldn’t just act however he liked and do whatever he chose. He just couldn’t do that.

Well…that was the rational part. Too bad, he was far too gone to care about that anymore. The rational part could go to hell for all he cared. He leaned his elbow on the table, feeling the urge to just have her in his arms.

“That’s a pretty interesting drink you have there.” He commented.

“Well, it’s not every day you get to come across such.” She shrugged her shoulders, her eyes glinting with something he couldn’t quite put his finger on.

He leaned closer to her so he was sure she could hear what he was saying perfectly. Her blue eyes were so enthralling that he couldn’t look away even if he really wanted to. That was how down bad he was. He knew he was completely finished.

“A beautiful woman like you should get whatever her heart desires.” Logan’s eyes settled on her lips. They were painted an alluring shade of red. He wanted to kiss her so bad.

The woman hummed in reply, the smile never leaving her lips. If she knew what effect she was having on Logan, she was doing a pretty good job of not showing.

“I already have it right here.” Her voice was itching a part of his brain that threatened to drive him nuts.

He didn’t care what demand or request she would make. He simply had to have her this night, royal titles and obligation be damned. He strengthened his resolve and made up his mind to be straightforward.

“What do you say we get out of here and have a little fun?” He asked, every single cell in his body on edge as he anticipated her reply.

She didn’t need to say anything. The mischievous grin on her face was enough to let Logan know that they were on the same page.

“After you.”

“How long are you going to be gone for?” Collins groaned .Ava rolled her eyes, already amused by his childish antics. She would be gone on her usual business trip. Collins had not given her a single breathing space , not hiding how much he was going to miss her. “I told you. It’s just going to be for a couple of days. Stop being so dramatic.” Ava scolded, before taking a sip of her wine.“But it sounds so long.” Collins whined. It took a great deal not to almost spill all the wine out of her mouth. She forgot how needy he could be at times. As funny as it was, she found it endearing that he was going to miss her this much. It caused a fluttery feeling in her chest. Was this what it was like to be loved?“Don’t worry. It won’t be so long. I’ll be back before you even know it.” Ava said, a smile on her lips.“You promise?” “I promise.” She giggled. They talked a bit about some mundane things before she had finally left for her business trip. A sigh left her lips as various thoughts

Heath hated when such thoughts swarmed his head. Thinking of it only solidified the fact that nothing could change. Hell, he didn't even have a clue where she could be. It was naive to think maybe things could have been different. That was only a pipe dream. Nothing would ever remain the same again. From the moment his pack had gone to war with Waterville Pack, there was no more going back. What happened had happened. What mattered was that they all moved on from it. Which was what he really needed to do with himself. With a sigh, he got up from his chair and began making his way back to his room. His head was swimming with various thoughts and he was sure he’d get a headache soon enough. What he really needed was some rest and a good soak.Just as he opened the door to his room, he was met with a sight that made him sigh in frustration. There was Fluer, standing at the center of the room, with her hands resting on her hips as she narrowed her eyes on him. He blew out another breath

Ava had only one thing in mind. Exacting her revenge and avenging her family and pack. She had long sealed her heart to the prospect of love ever since that day. She didn’t want any of such again. It only brought her unnecessary heartache. Things were better with her heart guarded. She couldn’t get hurt that way. Collins handed her things to one of the maids and guided Ava outside the house. Ava wondered where he could possibly be taking her to. She remained silent and simply let him take the lead. He led her outside the house, shutting the door behind them.Ava stood on the porch, watching everything going on. They lived at the main house in an array of houses that formed a sort of community. The Silver Bay Pack was organized in such a way that fostered community. The Alpha’s house was distinguished from others. It was where Ava had stayed all this time. She watched some children playing at the far end of the front yard. They were having, kicking dust at each other, oblivious to wh

Time heals even the deepest wounds. That was a quote Ava had heard one too many times. Sure, it was probably better to believe it wholeheartedly. That way, you could cling onto the hope that things would be okay. For Ava, even time couldn’t get rid of all the scars that littered her mind and soul. She was broken and in all honesty, she was fine with that fact. She had long accepted it. It was something that made her who she was. Why run away from the darkness when you could simply just accept it?I, Alpha Prince Logan, reject you, Slave Ava, as my Mate. Those were words that would always echo in her mind. Like a constant reminder of the day that her heart was brutally shattered by none other than Logan himself. She didn’t mind that either. She liked the reminder, regardless of how painful it was. It was necessary. So she would never forget and always having something that pushed her.Years had passed since that day. After the guards had mercilessly thrown her out, she had trudged aiml

Ava walked through the dark alley leading to the Park’s leader Chambers, anger reverberating as she carried her steps blindly into the very place she had walked out of a few minutes ago.“Logan!” She called, her words echoing around the house, causing the guards to run downstairs, ready to bound her away for being utterly disrespectful. “Let me go, let me go this minute, you piece of shit!”“Keep your mouth shut or you will leave here with no tongue, Slave,” a guard ordered Ava, angrily pushing them away with so much strength that they all fell and marvelled at how strong the tiny lady was.“Get me that son of a murderer this minute, or you will be the ones with no tongues,” she yelled, her eyes flared in anger as unimaginable heat emitted from her.“How dare you?” the guards screeched. “Get that lowly slave now and take her to the dungeon until the Alpha Prince decides what to do with her!” He ordered the other guards who rushed towards her, binding her up while she struggled to brea
