CHAPTER 121: Tape And The First Checkmate

Luna Elodie’s POV:

I stormed into Beta Derick’s office, my heels clicking furiously against the marble floor as I reached his office. With a strong force, I slammed my fist against the door and it gave way to a disgusting sight.

There he was, leaning casually against his desk, his arms spread apart and shirt half undone, while some scantily dressed woman perched on him, her legs draped over his lap as she rhythmically bounced on him.

Both of them turned sharply to me, their expression one of shock. The woman immediately jerked away like a startled doe, fumbling to wear her underwear and straighten her dress while Derick fixed his buttons.

“Luna,” he drawled, coughing as he ran a hand across his hair.

I watched the woman run past me, leaving me alone with this disgusting Beta. “I see the apple doesn’t fall far away from the tree, hmm.”

He didn’t reply, only staring at the ground in shame.

“My son left the pack in your hands until he retur

CHAPTER 122: Back To LifeMaverick’s POVThe cold, tiled floor bit into my thighs as I squatted by the door, but I didn’t care. My hands massaged my hair, hoping it could ease the tension but to no avail. I stared blankly at the white floor, regretting everything I’d ever done. It was late—or maybe it was early. Time had no meaning anymore. This was only just a loop of regret, like a noose tightening around my throat.I am a fool! I cursed at myself, rubbing a hand down my face as the ache gnawed in my chest, intensifying with each passing second. I could still feel the bond, but barely, like it was fading away and fading fast. If only I could take her place, I would do so without missing a heartbeat. I had messed up—no, I had destroyed everything. I rejected her. I rejected my mate. The words echoed in my head, slicing through me like a blade. I abandoned her, and…. And she thought I sent someone to kill her. I never did. I regretted my rejection ever since that day, and no matte

CHAPTER 123: For The CrimsonsPyra’s POV:Different emotions crossed through my mother’s eyes and tears brimmed in her cornea, wanting to spill but she didn’t let it out. “Really?”I nodded, squeezing her hands for comfort. I knew how hard this must be for her and as her daughter, I shall stand with her to the very end. “I-I knew I wasn’t crazy.” The tears finally fell from her eyes. “For years since he left, I had always felt him. The bond remains in my heart, even though it is not as strong as before.” She touched her chest, the pain in her voice too much for me to bear. I hugged her, sharing in her pain. “Everyone thinks I’m clinging on to a loose thread even as I’ve searched for him. He’s alive.”I nodded, my eyes now traveling to Maverick who stood by the corner, frozen like a snowman during the winter. His eyes shifted from mine to the babies and I knew what he was thinking at the moment. “Alpha Maverick,” I called, my voice weak after the events of today. “Do you want to?” I

CHAPTER 124: The StoneClaw’s Dust Third person’s POV: Deep in the heart of the woods lay a small clearing, a seemingly ordinary patch of land surrounded by a dense mass of forest. The moonless sky seemed to be a harbor of dangerous looking men as the clearing was filled with lines of warriors, all ready and at attention, their faces devoid of emotions. For appearances were deceiving and mostly misleading, as the seemingly empty clearing bearing the Warriors of Redclaw pack, bears within a hidden underground lab, covered by leaves and moss, leaving only a small door that has been exposed due to the entry of their Alpha. The edges of the door show its sleek design, showcasing cutting-edge, ultra-sophisticated technology that bared a scanner, only allowing a few people to have access to the chamber. Inside, an underground facility came into view. Men and women clad in lab coats moved with purpose, their eyes glued to iPads or clipboards. But they weren’t the main focus of the lab. A

CHAPTER 125: Steven StoneClaw Pyra’s POV: The sound of tires screeching and footsteps coming from miles away reached my ears. The Alphas and their ministers are arriving, their commanding presence already thickening the air of the arena. From the shadows of the private chamber overlooking the gathering, I glanced down at the tables and chairs arranged with military precision. One by one, they began to take their seats, their expressions a mix of curiosity, suspicion, and barely veiled arrogance. But my duties are first to my children. My arms cradled one of my triplets as Lior stirred against me, his tiny hands curling against my chest as I adjusted his position for better sucking. The soft tug of his latch grounded me, reminding me that I was now more than just an ordinary girl, nor even the Queen of Alphas; I was something more. I was a mother. Lior’s bright, crimson, curious eyes fluttered open briefly, and I brushed a kiss against his soft forehead. “Drink your fill, my b

Their whispers filled the room, swirling around like a storm.“Who’s that?”“Was he attacked?”“I don’t recognize him; maybe a member of some pack!”“Maybe a member of the StoneClaw pack. I can’t seem to find any of their members here in this meeting!”The Alphas and ministers’ whispers grew louder, their unease palpable. I couldn’t help but stare at the lone figure standing in the center of the open space. He looked like he would collapse at any moment. The tension was suffocating, and the air seemed to grow heavier with every passing second. “Enough!” Pyra’s sharp voice sliced through the noise, silencing the crowd instantly. Her fiery eyes swept over the gathered crowd, daring anyone to speak out of turn. Her presence was magnetic, and for a moment, I could only watch as she took several steps forward, her expression unreadable. “This is no time for ba

CHAPTER 127: A Call From The Dungeon Third person’s POV:The open clearing emptied slowly, the heavy tension lingering in the air even as the Alphas and Ministers departed. Their murmured conversations echoed faintly, a mix of anxiety and unease woven into every word. As the soon to be Alpha of StoneClaw, Steven, passed by Alpha Duncan, there was an eye-to-eye exchange, a glint shining in their eyes as if they knew and acknowledged each other. With a trade of nods, Alpha Duncan turned away and left. Maverick, who stood at the center of the clearing, his arms crossed, his sharp eyes vigilant as they followed the exchange between Steven and Alpha Duncan. His eyes narrowed in skepticism as he continued to watch the Alpha of the ruin pack, StoneClaw.‘Why would there be an exchange between them when they have never met each other?’ Maverick questioned silently, his suspicion growing even greater. ‘There’s something amiss, and I intend to find it. Moreover, Steven looked too familiar,

CHAPTER 128: Natalie’s Apology Maverick’s POV:Back in my lodge, I sat on the couch in the living room, massaging my temples as the stress of the day began to weigh me down. The fire crackled softly in the hearth, the only sound in the otherwise silent room. Small shadows danced on the walls, but none of them brought me the comfort I so desperately sought.“I don’t know, Mother. I’ve had a stressful day, and all I need now is a good rest.” I yawned for the hundredth time this evening, weakly holding the phone to my ear. “Maverick, I wanted to tell you something of utmost importance, but hearing how tired you are, I think you should rest. How was the meeting of Alphas, though?”I sighed, breathing deeply. “It was… well, I think. Everything was perfect, and finally, they were listening to my words. That was until a strange visitor interrupted the meeting.”“Strange Visitor?”“Yes, mother. According to him, he is the son of the Alpha of the StoneClaw pack, and they were attacked by tho

CHAPTER 129: Deep In The WaterMaverick’s POV: I was still staring at the ajar door as my phone rang. I picked up on the first ring, placing the phone to my ear. “Natalie is gone. She has escaped.”She chuckled, and I could feel her smile from where I stood. “Finally. Her facade has broken. Find Natalie, son. Chain her up and bring her back to Fangborn to await her trial, one I would personally pick for her.”I nodded, walking into the room as my eyes scanned the entire space. Natalie left most of her things; she must have been in so much of a hurry as not to pack. “Okay, mother.”“You see why I told you to always listen to me! I have more experience than you could fathom; I’ve seen things you can only imagine. Maybe this will—““Mother, this is not the time to lecture me,” I interrupted, my voice sharper than I intended. “Natalie’s gone, and we need to act fast before she gets too far. CHAPTER 185: Seek Retribution Caspian’s POV:Tension filled the small space of the hidden lab as I stared back at the still hard-breathing Ember. I too was breathing hard, exhaustion gripping in as the scent of blood perforated the air. It wasn’t just Ember’s or mine—it was like it was our past, our pain, and our father’s favoritism. My fist clenched beside me, the world spinning around me in a chaos I couldn’t control. Ember was good, I must give her that. She moved like lightning, rage guiding her every step. The blade she held in one hand sliced across my shoulder and I staggered back, my knees nearly giving away. But I didn’t fall.I couldn’t. Not this time. Not when I have people depending on me. Not when I haven’t gotten my retribution. “You’re weak, brother,” she spat, her eyes glowing with the same red madness that burned in our father’s. The way she mentioned the word ‘brother’ I could feel the amount of hatred and anger from that single word. “Always holding back. Alway

CHAPTER 184: His Last Bloodline Third person’s POV: Maverick turned to focus on the spot where Rhaella faced Alpha Duncan in a staring contest. The tension between them was electric.Neither woman nor man blinked, and neither moved. It was as if the entire battlefield had fallen silent, holding its breath for what was about to happen.Maverick watched as Alpha Duncan’s lips curled into a sneer, his posture dripping with disdain. Even with his werewolf hearing, he couldn’t hear the words being spoken between the two amidst the chaos of war. Maverick turned, seeing the outcome of the war. The backups he had called were yet to arrive. It was as if the goddess heard his words because immediately, the ground trembled beneath Maverick’s boots. At first, it was faint — a distant rumble like the stirring of a great beast — but it grew louder, stronger until even the enemy forces stilled in confusion. From the eastern ridge, banners rose into view, catching the dying light of the setting s

She had faced countless combat and never lost even a single one. This one, she definitely would enjoy. She wanted to see how truly strong the son of her Alpha really was. She wanted to damage the privileged boy who never had to work a day in his life and earned a title she could never acquire no matter how hard she tried. While she had worked every day of her life, fighting to get to the top. Caspian’s posture remained relaxed, almost disinterested as if could see straight through the burning rage building inside her. It only fueled Ember’s determination further. She had done everything for the pack. She had bled for the pack. She had clawed her way

I felt one jump towards me, its jaw aiming for my throat—but I remained still. There was no fear. There was no hesitation. There was only one powerful thing standing between us; Trust. The moment its fangs should have met flesh, Rhaella moved.Faster than lightning. Faster than the eye could comprehend. I blinked and she was beside me, her hands holding the neck of the false crimson with so much strength I could feel her veins popping from her hands. Using her other hand, she tore through the wolf’s chest, yanking the still-beating heart and slamming the wolf into the ground with a sickening crack. Blood splattered across my cheek, warm and metallic, but I didn’t blink.Because her eyes hadn’t left mine—not even for a second. She stood over the broken body of the wolf-like a goddess carved from vengeance. CHAPTER 181: The Orb Of FateTHIRD PERSON’S POV: Madraya sat in her temple in the FireHeart pack, a place designated solely for her as the high priestess of Flame and Fate. The sacred chamber shimmered with candlelight, the flames dancing like spirits awakened by the storm of war happening in Lunaria. Incense curled into the air, mixing with the ash-scented wind seeping through the ancient stone windows. But yet, even the sacred smoke could not mask the sense of unease that had settled over her heart like a cold shroud. The temple was quiet. Too quiet. But she sat calmly. One would question why a powerful priestess like her would sit under the protection of the FireHeart pack instead of being at the frontlines and burning the furs of her enemy but Madraya knew the war in Lunaria was not one to be won with brute strength alone. That much was certain. She was no ordinary priestess. She was the Oracle of Flame, the Keeper of the Old Prophecies, and the last living Tether to the First

CHAPTER 180: FreedTHIRD PERSON’S POV: Caspian Maoist, the man known as the betrayer and imposter of Steven StoneClaw stood still amidst the chaos. The roars of wolves clashing, the blood-curdling cries of wounded warriors, or near-death warriors and the scent of death laced the air like a suffocating fog. But none of it reached him. Not truly actually. Not as deep as the violent war raging within him. Caspian was frozen—eyes flickering occasionally between the fire-marked banners of the FireHeart pack and the crimson sigils of his birthright, the RedClaws. To them, he was a traitor. To the others, he was a spy.To himself, he was… lost.Truly lost. The perfect facade of Steven StoneClaw had crumbled like ash in the fire. Now the truth was out for all to see—Caspian Maoist, son of Alpha Duncan, heir to a throne of blood and fury. I rushed into Pyra's penthouse of FireHeart, hoping I wasn’t too late. But when I got to the penthouse, Rhaella wasn’t there. “No, no, no.” I turned away, rushing to the halls of the FireHeart pack, shouting to the nearby pack members. “Where’s the Alpha? Where’s my mate?”The pack member opened her mouth to answer, but no sound came. Her eyes widened—fixed on something behind me. I turned, my heart thudding.Luna Verona stood at the top of the staircase, her long blood-red cloak trailing behind her like a storm cloud. Her expression was unreadable, but her eyes—those fierce dark eyes—held something deeper. One I couldn’t decipher. “Where is she?” I demanded before she could even speak. “Where are the kids?”She descended slowly, deliberately, her heeled boots echoing off the stone floor like a countdown to war. “The kids are fine

The way Steven had always been adamant in knowing everything. The way Steven—no, Caspian—always seemed he was holding back a part of himself like he didn’t belong… because he didn’t. He never did. Not here. Not with us.It all made sense why he was a nervous wreck after I told him he must come with me to the RedClaw pack. “You never know what is around you, Alpha Rhaella. You can sit on your throne, thinking all is safe but oblivious that the enemy can be near.” I recalled one of the strange conversations he had with me. At that moment, it didn’t make sense. I didn’t even blink. My mind was focused on getting to one place and they shall feel my wrath. The bodysuit I wore molded my frame like a second skin. Sleek and dull red. The material shimmered faintly under the dimming light—thick enough to shield me in combat, yet light enough to move without restriction. It was the mark of the crimson Alphas. An armor they wore in times of battles. One that designates fear, not for any weapon, but the fire in our blood. The bodysuit clung to my form like armor, laced with leather straps and reinforced at the joints for agility and stealth. The style was ancient—Myrrakai, they call it, just like in the legends told of my ancestors centuries ago. No one has worn it for centuries, until me. A silver blade was strapped across my back, its hilt still warm from my gr
