Diana managed to hide behind a pillar. The security who came inside to inspect stood at the door far from the death beams. His gaze traveled round the room. He took a step back and opened the door, expecting to see someone come out but nobody did. With one last glance, he turned and walked out of the room closing the door behind him.

Diana breathed out in relief. She walked back to the jewelries. “You know we can't just take them right? We have to replace them with a counterfeit or something identical,” Diana said staring at the jewelries.

“Yep! Check your left, there is a bag of clone jewelries exactly the same as the original. File them according to their original,” Chloe said.

Diana did as instructed. She took every clone filing them back in the case immediately she took the original.

She filed the jewelries in a bag. She tried lifting it and her back made a crack. “Fuck! This shit is heavier than my life problems,” Diana muttered.

“Diana you got incoming. Be out in a minute. Climb back through the ceiling,” came JJ’s voice from her earpiece. Diana tied a long rope to the bag then she tied it to her waist. She matched a pillar and climbed back into the ceiling, she stood and started pulling the bag up by the rope.

“Hurry up Diana they are five seconds away,” Chloe said. Diana increased her pace. “Four, three, two,”... Chloe was counting.

Diana pulled the bag in a fast motion and closed the vent before she could complete one. Then the door opened, three men dressed in black suits with a lady followed by several guards entered the room.

Diana breathed out silently in relief. “That was close,” she muttered. “Leave the bag in the kitchen, Nadia will take it out as trash. JJ will come to take the trash,” Chloe instructed.

Diana hissed silently. She put the bag on her back, it was so heavy that she stayed flat on the vent for some seconds. She pushed herself up and started crawling carefully, and silently until she left that part of the vent.

“How the fuck am I supposed to find the kitchen from here?” Diana scoffed. “Just turn left, drop the bag in the next two vents. Nadia is waiting,” came Chloe’s voice from the earpiece. “Fuck this is so tiring,” Diana mumbled under her breath.

She reached the kitchen and when she looked down, she saw Nadia standing under the vent looking around. “Hey,” Diana called and Nadia looked up. “You can drop the bag and leave, I have hacked into the security system in the kitchen,” Chloe said. Diana passed the bag to Nadia and left.

Nadia took the bag, making sure no one saw her. “I will take out the trash,” she announced and took out the trash. As expected, JJ was waiting for her outside. They didn't exchange words, just glances. She threw all of the trash including the one containing the jewelry and placed it in the truck.

Arthur was already losing patience. The stupid security wouldn’t look away from him. Nothing angered him more than holding his temper. And for the fact that Aoife was still inside with Riccardo, meaning they might be fucking right now.

He saw Diana coming, already changed her clothes back to her previous wear. The security took his glance from them and signaled his partner that they were clean.

“What the fuck took you so long?” Arthur questioned with gritted teeth. “Fuck you, let's go,” Diana said.

**GALA VIP SUITE**

Aoife watched as dizziness took over Riccardo. She dropped her glass and frowned in confusion.

“Riccardo, are you okay?” Aoife questioned. Her voice hinted with worry. Like she didn't know what was happening to him, when clearly she was the one who set this whole thing up.

“You can leave. We will talk more later another day,” Riccardo said and held his eyes, massaging them carefully.

“What do you mean that I should leave? You look like you are gonna faint any minute from now!” Aoife barked. The door was pushed open, the guard who followed Nadia in before came in.

“What happened?” He passed a glance at Riccardo, then frowned at Aoife.

“I don't know! We were having dinner and all of a sudden he started holding his head...” Aoife explained.

“Escort her out. I will be fine,” Riccardo said. Without another word, the guard took hold of Aoife’s arm, pulling her to her feet. His grip was iron strong.

“Hey! Let go of me! Let go of me, you prick! Don't you see he is not okay!” Aoife kept screaming as the guard led her out. Immediately he threw her into the elevator, she gave him her middle finger, and when the door closed she sighed.

“Pricks.”

**DEVIKA'S APARTMENT – 11PM**

It had only been a day since she started this mission, and it felt like hell. She knew Idris was suspecting her. He knew she wasn't his real secretary, and he was making the mission harder than she expected.

She came out of the shower and walked to her closet after drying her body. She wore her PJs and walked back to her room. She took her phone from the nightstand and sat on the bed, only to see that she received an alert of one million dollars.

She went to the Furious Thief group chat only to see that they went for a mission. She frowned and sent a private message to Aoife.

*“You should have assigned me to this one instead of the shit you put me in.”*

She stared at her screen for a while before throwing her phone to the side. She rested her back on the bed and used her palm to cover her face. “Fuck,” she groaned.

Her mind went to Idris and what he told her this evening.

*“I know you know that I know you are a fraud. You stole my watch, and now you are back to steal something else. Mrs. Devika, but don't worry—I will make this your hardest mission, one that you will regret ever knowing me.”*

Idris had whispered in her ear after the board meeting when she was alone with him in his office.

She couldn’t help but shiver at every word. The way he looked at her with that sarcastic grin on his face. That grin that creeped her the fuck out.

She let out a sigh. Just how was she gonna complete her mission when he made it clear to her that he would make it hard for her? When he made it clear that he knew about her? He even called her by her real name.

Her phone made a beep. She checked it and saw that it was a message from Idris. When Matthew was showing her around, he gave her Idris’ number and made sure she saved it. She sat up on the bed in a fast motion—faster than she imagined.

She frowned when she saw that it was an address. His house address! She made to type a reply, but another message popped up.

*“Go to the office. I forgot my laptop. Deliver it in person to this address.”*

She read it out loud and scoffed.

“Fuck this bastard. Who the fuck does he think he is?” she questioned herself.

Another message came, and she gasped.

*“An order from your boss.”*

Idris stared at Devika like she had just said a whole lot of shit. His face slowly turned into a smirk as he stared at her. She blinked repeatedly like she was trying to hypnotize him, but he knew all of these tricks. Gold digger. That was what she was, a gold digger. She was a thief, who came to his company with a fake identity and fake purpose. Not only did she do that, she stole from him. His grandfather’s watch. Speaking of the watch, he had totally forgotten about it. “Why would I make you my date?” he questioned. Devika smirked, her gaze flickered with mischief. She walked around his table then stopped beside him, turned his chair to her, caging him between her arms. “I am your PA, and from what I’ve learned, you’ve never had a woman in your life,” Devika spoke confidently. Idris continued staring at her without looking away, and Devika, she returned his stares. Making direct eye contact with him without any intention to break it. She felt a sudden shift in the

Idris sat on his desk deep in thought. A pile of files were lined up on his desk, resulting from the works of yesterday. As he sat on the chair, elbow resting on the desk with palm under his chin. His body was present but his mind wasn’t. He was too deep in thought to even notice his surrounding. With eyes closed, he couldn’t help but think back to his interrogation with Dexter. FLASHBACK TO YESTERDAY’S BEACH In the dark of the night, where the ocean collided with the shore, Idris stood on the seashore with Dexter kneeling before him, while Dickson stood behind Dexter. The cool night breeze blew his hair to the back. Both of his hands were in his pocket as he stared down at the trembling Dexter. Dickson stepped closer and removed the black cloth from his head. Dexter bent before raising it up. The moment his eyes met Idris’ lifeless ones, he shivered but managed to force a grin out. The simple action enraged Idris. He felt the urge to put his hands on Dexter’

Aoife climbed down from the taxi with a grumpy look on her face, walking to her house. She didn’t go to the gang house tonight, not after what had happened. Idris killed Logan before they could even get to him. He killed their information for their next mission. To make matters worst. Devika didn’t take matters lightly. She was so furious that she attacked Idris, grabbing him by the neck with red eyes. But he only stared at her with a smirk. He didn’t touch her, he let her hit him on the wall. But she only did that because he left Logan’s brother, that was the only reason Devika didn’t go savage. Idris had let them have Logan’s brother without questioning. He didn’t even seem surprised when he saw them. Instead he only let out a smirk when Devika punched him. To make it all creepy, he called her name and told her he was gonna see her at work tomorrow. “So he really knows who she is”Aoife muttered to herself, walking into her apartment building. Since they got Logan’s brother. S

“We come in peace,” Dickson said. He exchanged a knowing glance with Idris. In the next second, he drew out his blade from his holster, and Idris drew out his gun. They did it so fast that the men didn’t see it coming. Dickson’s knife went straight to the man standing behind him; he slit his throat, killing him instantly. Dickson didn’t let go of the man—he used him as a bulletproof shield, attacking the man who aimed at him. Idris wasn’t left out. He had shot the man behind him in the head and the one standing as guard at the main door—he shot him in the forehead. Right now, he was in a fistfight with the other two as Dickson took on the remaining two men. He successfully shot down one of the men, hitting him directly in the head. He turned to face the other man, only for the man to throw a punch at his face. Idris gritted his teeth in fury. He raised his fist and it met the man’s forehead, sending him flying. His back hit the wall, and he dropped to the floor unconscious.

RED HOTEL ROOM 205 The smell of alcohol and cigarettes filled the air as three men sat on their separate chairs. The ashtray was covered with already burnt cigarettes. One of the men sitting on a couch crashed his cigar on the ashtray in front of him letting out a chocked laughter as he leaned back on the couch. He had a viper tattoo on his neck running into his forehead. He wore a versace robe with versace slippers. His teeth were gold with the gold chain round his neck, giving him the gangstar vibe. His eyes were completely red due to how much smoke he had consumed. He is Logan, the one devika is hunting tonight. Sitting separately from Logan is Dexter dragon, Idris pray. Dexter was dressed in a fine silk black robe, he had a scar on his right eye, it made its way to his cheek. Tatto covered the exposed parts in his arm and chest. Beside Dexter was another man, Logan's twin. He wore extremely the same clothes as Logan, the same tattoo. Surrounding the room were seven bodyguards,

IDRIS CASTLE Inside a red room, lined with plush red carpet, stood Idris and Dickson. He held a pistol in his hand, checking it out, while Dickson picked up the knives. He was more skilled in combat and using knives. The walls of the room were lined with shelves, each used as a weapons hanger. Guns, knives—name it—they were all present. “You sure you don’t need anything else other than that pistol?” Dickson questioned, his gaze sweeping from Idris to his knives. Without replying, Idris holstered his gun into the shoulder holster. He wore a suit jacket to cover the holster. “You done packing?” Idris asked instead. “Yeah,” Dickson answered. “I am starting to think. Matthew called you, right?” Dickson questioned. “Yes, he did,” Idris answered with raised eyebrows. “He told you the Haram girl… or what’s her real name again?” “You mean Devika?” Idris questioned. “Yes, the Devika. Matthew said she emailed him saying she won’t come to work today—that was what you said,”
