Chapter 18.

Zara

Surprised was an understatement as to how I felt when Louis hugged me. I was expecting shouting, yelling and cursing. That hug really took me aback and I wondered what was going through his mind. Was he angry? Did he blame me? I felt so much joy at his embrace and hoped that it wouldn't go down hill from there.

I returned the hug, gently rubbing on his back to sooth him because I knew he needed it. My actions made him tighten his embrace. I was so sad seeing him this way and I knew why. In as much as I didn't like Lola I knew that he loved her dearly.

I waited for him to pull away first and when he did, I led him to sit in the lounge area of the study with Aminu trailing behind us and taking a seat. The study looked almost exactly like his office at the company with the only difference being the color of the chairs which were grey instead of black. The set up was the same.
