Dimitri's POV

I watched as Blair disappeared down the stairs, every instinct screaming at me to follow her, to make sure she was okay and none of this was her fault. But Mr. Andrew stood between us, his expression stern and suspicious in a way that made my stomach clench with dread.

"Mr. Diablos," he said once Blair was out of earshot, "I'm not sure what I just walked in on, but it looked... concerning."

"I don't know what you mean," I said, shooting him a cold glare, keeping my voice calm and professional. "I was simply checking on a student, who happens to be my sister, to ensure that she was okay."

"On the rooftop," Andrew repeated. "Alone. With the door closed."

Did he not just hear that she was my stepsister? I felt irritation build up in my body, but I forced myself to swallow it down.

"I understand your concern, but the door wasn't closed when I arrived," I lied smoothly. "Miss Conserto was upset about something that happened at lunch. I was making sure she was safe."
