In the midst of steep and icy mountains lies the city of Arcanán, anchored beyond where human eyes have ever ventured. Its remote and practically unknown existence is shrouded in obscurity to the world. Only supernatural beings are privy to its location. Surrounded by towering walls atop inaccessible cliffs, it stands as one of the safest and most impregnable of all known places. Only those who are invited may visit, and no one, not even by chance, can pass through the enormous gates that safeguard it.

Rumours persist that for centuries, the so-called Greater Archons have dwelt there since they were banished from the celestial city and compelled to live as halves of the souls of werewolves.

Whether this is true remains unknown, but what is universally acknowledged is the existence of this city and its strange pack of werewolves known as the Arcano. It is led by the most fearsome and ruthless Alpha to have ever lived, a reason in itself why no one dares to approach the place. He is called the Cursed Alpha because he has never been able to transform into a human, or at least no one has witnessed such a transformation. He maintains his imposing wolf figure, commanding respect and fear from all.

In a room that at first glance appears to belong to the king of this place, given the elegance and wealth with which it is furnished, there lies an enormous bed where a man rests in deep slumber. The door bursts open violently, admitting another who enters, shouting in annoyance.

"Aren, you must stop vanishing like this! I'm your beta and brother, not the Alpha of the pack! I can't be handling everything! Where did you go this time? Why do you disappear every full moon?" The burly man who had burst into the room was now heading for a corner, clearly intending to find someone in the makeshift bed on the floor, which bore the unmistakable signs of an animal's presence. However, he turned swiftly, sensing something behind him.

Startled, he watched as the blankets on the bed stirred, until a strong and imposing man sat up in it. His hair was blond, his eyes grey, which turned golden as he listened to his beta and brother Enril.

"Enril, stop bellowing so early; I'm exhausted from the long journey," he said with a thunderous voice.

"You're human, Aren!" exclaimed Enril, his eyes wide as he approached the bed with slow steps, his face etched with an immense expression of surprise and disbelief.

"I know. I've been able to transform into a human for quite some time," responded Aren nonchalantly.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Enril asked as he arrived at his side, bombarding him with a flurry of questions. "When did it happen? Did you find her? Did you find your Luna?"

Aren stood up without answering, completely naked. He walked to the bathroom with slow and weary steps, while his brother Enril followed him, still staring as if he couldn't believe his eyes, waiting for an answer that never came.

"Has something happened within the pack for you to rouse me so early?" Aren asked instead; after all, he was the Alpha.

"The usual: the elders demanding to see you."

Enril, his brother and beta, responded with resignation, aware that Aren would not divulge anything. He knew his brother well; Aren would not speak of what happened until he decided it was time. Nevertheless, he was overjoyed that Aren had finally managed to become human. He watched him step into the cold shower and begin to bathe, so he continued speaking from the doorway.

"There's nothing amiss in the pack. You know how it is; the elders are insistent on holding the ceremony to find you a mate. Your Luna."

"That won't be necessary; I've found my mate," stated Alpha Aren firmly. "Can't you see? I am human."

"Why don't you bring her here?" Enril asked, curiosity piqued.

Aren glanced at him for a moment before replying, "She's a baby."

"A baby? How do you know she's your mate then?" his brother asked incredulously.

"I can smell all her scents, and she can smell mine," Aren confessed.

"That's impossible! You're supposed to wait until she turns sixteen," Enril reminded him seriously. "Aren, tell me right now what you've been doing to become human without involving me."

"I've done nothing; it just happened!" Aren roared in fury, then added upon seeing his brother's baffled expression. "I know what you've just said is true, but I could smell them from the moment she was conceived in her mother's womb."

"Really?" Enril was astonished, knowing Aren never lied to him. "When did this happen? Who is she?"

"I can't tell you who she is yet," Aren replied and turned away.

Aren adored his brother Enril and trusted him implicitly. However, he would not risk his little Luna. He needed to watch over her and protect her from a distance. He had waited too long to lose her now. When it came to her, he would trust no one but himself.

"Alright, don't tell me then," said Enril, seeing his silence. "Is that why you can now turn into a human?"

Aren looked at him gratefully for not pressing further. "Yes, the very moment I first smelt her scent just after she was born, it happened. I became human."

Enril, truly astonished by what his brother was telling him, asked, "Really? Are you pulling my leg?" He couldn't believe it was that easy to break the curse.

Aren, knowing what he was thinking because he had thought the same when it all happened, replied, "I don't know... I assumed it would be something more complicated than that. But it happened just as I told you."

"Just by smelling her, you say you turned into a human? Astonishing and unexpected," Enril conceded.

"I felt the same way, but it happened just as I'm telling you. I did nothing more than smell her and—poof!—I was a huge human. And don't ask me why it happened like that because I don't know myself."

"Why not do it in front of everyone? Turn into a human and we'll sort out all this mess with the elders."

"Because the time hasn't come for them to know yet; I could put her in danger, you fool!" Aren growled furiously.

Although lacking concrete evidence, the team captain couldn't help but wonder if there was something more behind their apparent innate prowess. He felt there were secrets shrouded around them and decided to keep his suspicions to himself for now but was resolved to continue monitoring them closely."Wolves, then?" he asked again, looking them straight in the eye, but this time it was the Archon Mayor who stepped forward and said, Aren looks at him very seriously and exchanges a glance with the others and answers him. "We're referring to the way wolf packs look after and cooperate with each other." The team captain stared at everyone without fully understanding what they were talking about, so Aren looked to his brother to explain more clearly."It's just that last night we watched a documentary about them and were inspired by their teamwork. We believe that if we work together like they do, we might stand a chance in today's match agains

Once he had calmed down enough and his eyes returned to normal, he looked at Geisi seriously, who had followed him, and spoke in a firm yet calm tone."I know this isn't easy for either of us. But we must stay calm and think carefully about each decision. We will find a solution, trust me. Although you may not push me to my limits, my Moon, I want you to be happy, but everything has a limit, don't forget that."This demonstrated his capacity for self-control even in adversity, characteristic of a true leader. The door opened, and Oto appeared."Aren, we're going to be late, and I need to talk to you about something very serious.""What is it, Oto? Is it about why you almost turned into a wolf last night? Well, spare me that, we don't have our powers sealed," Aren explained as he gathered his things."Why the hell didn't you warn me then?" Oto asked, annoyed. "I was about to lose control with that human who's trying to woo my Moon.""I

The days passed for the students at university. They had all integrated themselves as best they could into the world of humans. The boys participated in campus sports, a way to keep their inner wolves calm. The girls were not far behind, especially the twins Gil and Geisi, as Leía and Enril missed the pack and longed to return."Aren, get up, we have the exam today and we can't afford to miss it," Geisi reminded the Archon who was still in bed."Why do we have to take that exam if we know everything? Come on, my Moon, lie down beside me, let's do the other exam instead," he said mischievously."Aren, I told you we're not going to do it until we get married," Geisi reminded him, having adapted very well to human laws and customs."My Moon...""Stop calling me that, you're not the Alpha of any pack, and I'm not your Moon.""We're dating, you finally said yes yesterday.""When did I say yes? Sleeping together doe

"It's only for two," Geisi shows them."Well, I can stay with Enril," Leia offers, not wanting to separate from her better half."I think it's better if we stay in pairs," the Archon Major suggests."No!" Geisi protests. "I don't want them to know we're couples from the moment we enter. They'll label us and won't invite us to other young people's parties."The growl emanating from the chests of the three men catches the attention of the women, who look at them curiously. They are wolves, also archontes, and both species are known for their possessive nature. The idea of their partners being approached by others does not sit well with them at all, especially because they have noticed the glances from other young people as they pass by."We can't allow others to get close to our partners," grumbles Oto, the Alpha of the group."You're right, we can't let anyone come between us and our Moons," asserts Aren, the Archon Major. The gi

Oto looks at his friends, feeling the warmth of their friendship and the strength of their bond. Gradually, his frustration begins to dissipate, and a spark of determination appears in his eyes."You're right, my Moon. No matter how different this place is, we're here to learn and help. Together, we'll overcome any obstacles that come our way."With renewed spirit and unity, the six friends prepare to climb the steps and enter the university."Oh, I love human fashion!" Geisi exclaims excitedly as she sees a group of young people approaching and stopping to admire the boys, who look very attractive. However, this attention doesn't please them entirely."What are they staring at? They're ours," Leía says defiantly.Enril, noticing the disapproving looks on his friends' faces, approaches Geisi and whispers in her ear: "Remember, we're here to study and learn, not to seek admirers. Our goal is to help humans, not to be distracted by their attention."

The young ones lay on the grass as the girls gathered flowers nearby. Enril explained to them how they could make their partners feel happy."You have to ask them to be your girlfriends," Enril told them."I thought it wasn't necessary, they already know we're their halves," Oto responded. "Do we really have to go through all this again?""Haha," Enril chuckled amusedly. "Oto, I'm afraid so. Even though they know they are our halves, they expect us to ask them that question.""Aren is right, Oto. We have to do it, but don't worry, we'll do it like humans do. We've practiced, and I think it would be a good idea to go study together at university like humans," Enril suggested.Just then, Leía came running and interrupted their conversation. "Guys, guys! Come help us."They stood up and headed towards the girls, who were in a field full of flowers near a human village. They were in another country, far from their own, where it was now summer.
