I stared at the phone in my hand, mortified.

My heart raced as his words echoed in my ear.

There was no way he would betray me.

“She threatened to kill me and expose my crimes if I didn't do it. I tried, Ashley, I tried to get rid of those nudes but I couldn't. Lilian found my daughter and has been using her against me. There was nothing I could do, please forgive me,” Silas blurted out.
