Cold Water.

The Queen rose up and walked to the table few meters away from them. She returned with a couple of papers that she handed over to Williams.

"Here is who she is. A citizen of the country, young and beautiful, aged twenty-one, lives far east from the palace. She's from a family of four, second daughter to her parents" Elena explained.

Williams looked through the papers she had handed over to him. It was a full profile of a woman, a really young woman. Williams carefully read the information. He stared at the picture of lady. She was cute, blonde haired, and looked really naive. He thought for a while that a lady of twenty-one was too young for him- personally, but he was more stunned when he saw what was written below hee picture.

"She's a commoner?" He asked, eyes wide open.

"Yes, she is"

A commoner? For the Prince of Greenland? There definitely had to be some explanation.

"Who-who chose her?" was the first question he asked.

"Your grandfather, King Lancelot, had great relations with her family. It was a strong bond and like almost all other cases, they agreed to seal their friendship by getting their offsprings married to each other. If not their children, then the next generation."

He digested the information gradually.

"So my grandfather decided years ago that I would get married to the grand daughter of his friend, Abel Malton, who is...Julianna Malton?"

Exactly. Elena thought.

"Yes, Williams- and I know, I know this is a very important part of your life, and your father and I ought to be telling you this together, but I just thought it would be better if I told you myself. I didn't think you two meeting today would be a good move considering the delicacy of the subject" She explained feeling really guilty as she considered her presentation poor for such a big matter.

Williams nodded his head slowly, he didn't know what to say. He was still digesting the news of the bride he had just met.

"I understand. When are we meeting?" That was the next thing he needed.

"Hopefully, tomorrow"

What?

"Tomorrow?!" He beamed at his mother. Goodness gracious! Here he was hoping he could pause this part of his life for a year, till he was ready to face it, but here life was, already planning a thrilling roller coaster ride that would change and marvel his world.

Gwenevere matched around the wide hospital hallway. She matched in a consistently fast pace. The fast match was the only thing that could help her contain the anger at which she felt.

She nodded her head at intervals and shook her fist repeatedly. She so much wanted to hear what her father had to say. There was no doubt that he had a huge role to play in Jolie's breakdown. He was too hard on the girl, and just would not let her be.

Four months ago, Jolie had found out she was two months pregnant for her long-time boyfriend; Jackson. From the first day Gwenevere met him, she could smell danger, she just couldn’t lay her hands on the exact reason she disliked him. She had rang her disapproval aloud and even tried separating them at different times, but Jolie was just madly in love, head-over-heels for this man.

Everyone’s disapproval of Jackson made no sense to Jolie, she was in love and that was all that mattered. She had successfully held a relationship with Jackson for four years and was totally engulfed in their love ride, the more reason Jolie could not take it when she got pregnant and ‘the love of her life’ shocked the hell out of her. He coldly denied being responsible for her pregnancy and broke up with her, running away out of the country. This was past the height of what Jolie could take. She was too naïve and frail to take such a huge punch. The break-up sent her temporarily mad and for four months she was in a struggle to recover from its effects. It hit her real hard, causing a significant harm to her mental health.

The situation was bad enough with Jolie not making any major contribution to the family’s finance. Now, she was a potential liability that would in three months bring another baby into the family- liability number two.

Jolie drowned herself in condemnation daily. She regularly counted her worries one by one and the measure of these problems were overwhelming. One, the heartbreak from months ago sent her totally unstable. Two, she couldn't help make money for the family. Three, the unbearable shame and disgrace that came with her unplanned pregnancy. Four, her father's constant condemnation and declaration of disappointment. She was fed up, she couldn't hold on to this razor-adorned life-rope anymore.

Gwenevere could smell that her father had a huge role to play in Jolie's decision to commit suicide. Oh, she was furious! She couldn't wait to get out of the hospital and demand for explanations on what exactly happened to her sister. But first, Jolie had to come out of that door fine.

They had rushed her to the hospital as soon as she blacked out. The plenty drops of blood that coated the floor of their living room was a major reason for them to be crazily worried.

The family positioned themselves at the entrance of the operating room, waiting for someone to come outside and tell them that their sweet girl was just having a long beauty sleep. An hour walked by very slowly and finally a doctor came out the white transparent glass door. Phillip, their father, was the first to get to him.

"How is she?"

The African-American doctor was silent for a while. He took his time to plan out the presentation of his words. Gwenevere wondered why all the doctors she knew had this habit of keeping quiet and putting their patients in awful tension at moments like this. She wanted to scream at him to just speak out.

"Your daughter is in a very critical state" He began, and those words felt like cold water poured massively on their heads.
