Chapter 42 - Misunderstanding

"Asher!" Jennifer smiled through her tears, finally feeling relief seeing him but his cold demeanor made her smile vanish.

He slowly walked towards her, looking at her without blinking. His body towered over her while she was still sitting on the bed, going through immense pain.
