The drizzling rain painted the sky in a beautiful car and created a beautiful atmosphere that even she couldn't escape from its beauty. According to her, in beautiful weather like that, it's worth drenching and she came out of the shed and started enjoying the rain.

But her enjoyment didn't last long as the rain slowly started to vanish, making her frown and she decided it was enough drenching to get sick and moreover, it won't be good if she gets drenched more than that, otherwise who would take care of her sick body. It didn't even pass a day before she left her home to move to New York City for her studies.

She was happy and sad at the same time as she misses her family very much but she is gonna make sure she enjoys her freedom to the fullest. She took her shopping bag which had groceries that she bought for her new apartment where she started living alone.

She hailed a taxi and the driver helped her to keep the bags inside. She politely thanked him and was about to get into the taxi but her eyes fell on a woman who was crossing the road in a hurry.

She looked the same age as her mom when suddenly she saw a car coming towards that woman at full speed and the driver wasn't slowing down.

Does the driver intentionally want to hurt that woman? She thought, glancing at the woman and the car from time to time.

She couldn't stop herself and she quickly ran towards that woman to save her but she was too late as she saw that the car hit that woman and went away.

"Heyyy." She screamed looking at the car which quickly went away from the spot.

She quickly went towards that woman and sat down beside her. Her head and left hand were bleeding very badly.

Looking at her blood, she was feeling very nauseous but she somehow calmed herself down.

"Help." She shouted looking towards the taxi driver.

The driver quickly came and picked up the woman then kept her inside the taxi.

"Take us to the nearest hospital as soon as possible." She said to him and he nodded, starting the engine.

She held the woman carefully in her embrace and took out her handkerchief from her bag. She kept the handkerchief in that woman's head to stop the bleeding.

The woman's eyes were slightly open and she was looking at her maybe.

"Ma'am, please don't close your eyes. We will be in the hospital soon. Nothing will happen to you." She said, assuring her.

Suddenly she was very worried about that unknown woman. She can't see a person die with her own eyes so she was praying to god from time to time.

"Brother, please hurry." She said to the driver.

"Don't worry. We will be there in a minute." He said, assuring her.

She was patting the woman's cheek lightly to keep her conscious. Soon they reached the hospital and the driver helped her to take the woman inside.

A nurse came to them and guided them to keep her on a stretcher. The nurse called the doctors and two doctors rushed toward them.

As soon as they looked at the woman, they were very shocked.

"Mrs. King! How did this happen?" The doctor asked, looking at her and the driver.

Looks like the doctors know her, she thought and relaxed a bit.

"A car hit her intentionally." She said to the doctor, though she wasn't sure if it was intentional or an accident but it did look intentional.

One of the doctors dialed someone's number and was very scared while talking to that person. They quickly took her inside the surgery room and she went towards the driver.

"Thank you brother for helping me." She said.

"I must help another person when they need it. Though I want to stay here to know if the lady is okay or not. But I can't, I am getting late." He said.

"Can you deliver my shopping bags to my address?" She asked him, showing him puppy eyes.

"Of course. You called me brother, I am willing to help my sister." He said smiling.

"I didn't introduce myself. I am Jennifer." She said, smiling.

"I am John. Here take my number, call me to inform me about that woman." He said and she nodded then he went away from there with the shopping bags.

It has been half an hour, but the doctors still haven't come out of the room. After some moments, the doctors came out.

"Thank God, She is out of danger. We would have been dead if something had happened to her." One said to another one.

"Doctor, how is she?" She asked them quickly, going towards them.

"Don't worry, she is fine now." They said while smiling.

"Doctor, tell me the hospital bill. I will pay for it." She said to them as she was willing to help the woman.

The hospital looks very expensive and she was sure the hospital bill would be too much.

"It's not needed. This hospital belongs to her family." The doctor said smiling and hearing him, she felt more relief.

"You can go. I have informed Mrs. King's family." He said and went away.

It was very late, so she thought about going to her apartment and started walking towards the exit. Suddenly, she heard her phone ringing and she was taking it out of her bag while walking when suddenly someone bumped into her so hard that she fell with a thud.

The person didn't even look back and ran like his life depended on it.

"Hey, you." She screamed at the man who was wearing a black suit.

Mannerless man! She cursed him as he didn't even say sorry.

She tried to get up and felt a stinging pain in her ass. She somehow walked out of the hospital and cursed that man a thousand times in her mind.
