♠ SYLVARA ♠

The next morning,

The world was soft around me, still blurred at the edges. My limbs felt like they’d sunk into the mattress, too heavy to move, too content to care. I stretched gently and felt the deep, delicious ache in my thighs, a slow reminder of everything we did before sleep claimed us.

My skin was warm and sticky with the faint sheen of sweat, cooling now in the early light. We did it nonstop, even after the bath. There was a tangle of sheets twisted around one ankle and the ghost of his touch still resting on my hips. My chest rose with a long, slow breath, and I realized how deep my body sank into rest, not just sleep, but something fuller. Like being emptied and filled at the same time.

Between my legs, there was a tender throb, not pain, but softness. A pulse that said, “You gave yourself fully last night.” Every movement felt deliberate, slow. I turned my face toward him. He was still beside me, peaceful, barely breathing. His scent clung to the pillows, to m

♠ SYLVARA ♠ “Sylvara —” his voice jolted me out of my thoughts. “Huh?” I turned in his direction. “Don't pick up my calls again.” He said and left the room again. For a moment I had hope, thinking he wanted to say something to me. I thought he wanted to apologize. But for what? Was I being delusional? “I must be out of my mind.” I shrugged it off as I dragged my body to the bathroom.I slipped into the bathtub filled with warm water, calming my body. I finished bathing after a while. I wore his bathrobe, which was oversized.I went back into the room, and I was shocked to see Darius. “Darius?” He sat across from me, silent, unmoving, as if carved from something ancient and unfinished. His shoulders are relaxed, but not at ease, more like surrendered. There was a distance in his eyes that didn’t measure in feet but in lifetimes. And his mouth... it’s neither a frown nor a smile, just something paused. Caught. Like he was mid-thought in a dream he doesn’t want to wake from or mid-conf

♠ SYLVARA ♠Darius yelled at Lycus, stopping him from walking towards where I was hiding naked. “What!” Lycus yelled back because he was startled. I could hear everything from where I was hiding. My body feels like it’s made of water, loose, unstrung. Every muscle is humming, not with tension, but with a deep, low ache that somehow feels beautiful. My thighs tremble faintly. Even breathing feels like a task, each inhale long, each exhale a surrender. My nipples were almost red as a result of his rough sucking; he left a hickey on every part he kissed. My lower abdomen was weak, and that was because of the strong thrust. His strength is no joke.“Huh? The boys are alright, aren't they?” He asked, and Lycus scoffed. “What's wrong with you? Why is searching for a rat stressful? That Alister really thinks he can hide well? He had no idea. He went to his regular hideout. Everyone knows about it already, or maybe just us?” Lycus was spotted.'Did he just refer to my uncle as a rat?' That bas

MAN-SLUTLYCUS “That rude little girl!” I hissed as I walked toward the Alpha’s study room. I couldn’t believe that little girl disrespected me that much.“No wonder they are friends.” I scoffed angrily and shook my head. Stubborn. Fearless. Gosh, I hate her!**********AN HOUR EARLIER“The Alpha asked me to drop you home.” I walked past her angrily. I really didn’t understand why Darius gave such an order to me, his Beta. That girl was just a spoiled brat that needed to be taught some lessons.“So?” She rolled her eyes, halted her steps, and stared at me rudely.“So behave, because I can actually kidnap you if you get me angry.” I walked toward her, trying to scare her, but she didn’t even flinch. She was too fearless for her own safety.“Like you dare!” she spat, glaring at me.“I….” I started to say.“I can’t stand you either.” She scoffed angrily and walked out on me.“You can’t stand me?? I can’t stand you either! You stubborn Omega!” I yelled, walking behind her.“Where are you

♣ DARIUS ♣ I shut the door behind me with a heavy click, shutting out the noise of the world, or at least the noise I didn’t want to hear right now. In my study room, it was just silence, leather, and the low hum of power that didn’t need to announce itself. The air smelled like old books, Cuban cigars, and the faint trace of gun oil. The walls were lined with shelves, not for show, not like the politicians do it. Real books. Strategy, history, war, psychology. You don’t survive long in this life by being stupid.I sat back, let the silence wrap around me, and looked at the cameras flickering on the monitor in the corner. Front gate. Warehouse. Club. All quiet. But all of a sudden my little fly entered my world. She came in without knocking, and that caught me off guard as I turned off the monitor immediately.“Sylvara, what are you doing here?” I breathe out.“Earlier, my friend was quite—” she was saying. “I don't want to hear it.” I cut in. “She was just worried about me, that's

ALISTERI sat nervously as I held my phone in my hand. “That unfamiliar girl!” I hissed, looking at the report one of my men had sent to my email. I knew something was going on with those two. How could she fall in love within such a short period? She’s useless! I screamed in my head, remembering how much I had prepared to take Darius down.I couldn’t even succeed at that? I hated to admit it, but I was inferior to Darius. I wanted to become the Alpha instead. I was older than Darius, yet he still got recognized more than me. I had worked all my life to become the underground Alpha, but I kept falling.“Fuck!” I kicked the table in front of me, remembering I wouldn’t be able to move freely until the issue got settled. I was hiding in one of my safe dens, a small, secret hideout tucked behind an abandoned warehouse no one bothered with anymore. You’d miss it if you didn’t know what to look for the rusted-out panel that slid just enough to let me slip through.Inside, the air smelled lik
