Ever so stubborn.

I did as she said even though all I could think about was grabbing her and crashing my lips against hers, and finish what we started.

“Good. You can speak now.”

She said, her voice surprisingly calm. How could she be so calm after what happened a minute ago?

It took me a while to collect myself, and even now my heart was still beating.

I smirked. “How long are you going to keep running, Celeste?” I asked, taking a step forward.

“I'm not running.” She sounded defensive.

“Really?”

“Yes. You don't scare me.”

“On the contrary, I think I do.” I stepped forward again.

She eyed me, but didn't move.

“I am not. I just hate you.”

“Again with this.” I sighed. How long did she plan on using that line.

“How long are you going to keep telling yourself that?” I questioned. I was closer now. So close that her scent wafted into my nose, wrapping around me, and sending me into a frenzy.
