It was Saturday night at Garvey’s, two months after Marty Schaffer’s arrest. The Garvey crew couldn’t have been happier. It was 11:30 p.m. and the place was hopping.The twins got news late Friday afternoon that Bobby Jacobs, the ADA in Phoenix, offered Marty a deal and he took it. He really didn’t have a choice but to take the deal. Marty will serve five years with the possibility of parole in three or go to trial.
