Chapter Five

Nate’s POV 

I watched her go back inside with the demon boy tailing her extremely angry at her, but I could not believe what was going on, if she is related to the son  of the Demon Elder then how is she my mate?  That means she is not werewolf right? Or just human too.

I sat there for all of 2 minutes and I walked out of the bistro, we had maintained a level of peace between us anytime we stepped into the bistro for this past years but how am I having a mate who is related to the demon clan?

I quickly drove off to our condo In town, but I dialed the number of Jordan, immediately he picked.

“ Hello Alpha” I heard his calm voice reply .

“ Jordan there is a girl living in the Demon chief’s house, find out who she is asap” I dropped the call totally pissed, sick and tired of the whole thing.

I pressed on the pedal and accelerated totally going crazy, even ace is in shock totally silent which never really happens until there is a situation beyond our understanding , who the hell is that girl?

My phone started ringing again, I picked up the call without even talking but Jordan spoke up.

“ Hello Alpha, the girl is from the human part of the Demon chief’s clan , I was told she just came to Hawaii from California after loosing her parents, boss she is human, is she the one?”

I sighed totally relieved and then I told him yes and he assured me she was a human and I and my wolf relaxed and slowed down the driving a little, I needed to get home and change for the meeting with the demon chief at our office later today, in order to disguise the meeting to be business related.

That has always been our mode of meeting , so as to stop the rogue demons and wolfs from getting the wrong idea, after dressing up and driving to the office I went into the office with Jordan waiting outside with Reid my brothers omega who informed me that the Demon chief and his wife were already waiting with his brother Jace.

After getting into the office I sat down beside my brother right opposite the Demon couple who looked very solemn and quiet.

“ Now that my brother is finally here, let’s talk” Jace said looking at me meaningfully, I know that he hates it when am late but it was not intentional.

“ Um Am sorry for being late, I had to take care of something very important “ 

The couples nodded and smiled warmly which surprised I and my brother who has been meeting them for a while and has never seen them like that.

“ Am sure you both know that another rogue has taken the life of another Luna and her Alpha, what can you do about it?”

They looked very sad and before the Demon chief spoke up .

“ we are very sorry about this situation, but we too our hands are tied , just over a month ago my wife’s sister and her husband were killed by the same rogue Demon, we don’t know who he is and why he is doing this but am sure it is to incite a war between the wolfs and the Demons, we have no hand In this”

Hearing this I remember the girl at the bistro , could it be that she is the one who lost both parents, did a demon kill her parents?

“ that is very sad as well, I had no idea about that and I am so sorry for your loss but we need to present this matter before the magic council because measures has to be taken in order to make sure that this situation does not repeat itself anymore.” My brother said while I was quietly trying to understand what was going on and why.

 I knew my heart and my wolf wanted her after our accidental meetings twice , but what I don’t understand is why I feel there is something else.

“ Chief Viklan have you heard about this prophecy from the moon shaman about unification “ Jace looked at me with surprise because I never dabble into these things.

“Yes I have, it was said that she will be a child born to a demon and a wolf , and she will bring unification and end the war between us all”. 

After that statement we were all in deep thoughts, because I was already adding two and two together, if she is related to the Demon chief, then it’s possible that she might be a demon, then that means the child born to us will be the unification.

After the meeting we all decided to give it a thought and make a plan to appear before the magic council once we are ready with all the informations, the couple left and I was left with my brother who was very worried.

“ Did you know that no child has been born of Demon and wolf due to the enemity between us for centuries? So how possible is it for a unification to happen now especially with all the deaths we have experienced ?”  Jace asked me with all seriousness.

“ I believe that the killings and the hatred is enough, as you can tell the good demons are suffering from this situation as well , so I am of the idea that if the unification provides itself, we have to take it , so we can have peace and leave well”

He kept quiet, I did not say anything else because I needed to be sure first because of the sensitivity of the situation.

So I left there and went home, still thinking of the whole thing and the fact that I cannot get her off my mind , her beautiful brown eyes and white hair, how can someone be so beautiful and so different?

I am going to give this a chance and see how it goes, because I am not one to give up on love just like that.
