Chapter Four

Gemini’s POV 

It has been two weeks since I moved to Hawaii, and so far things has been good but I have not been able to shake off , those eyes ; seeing them at the airport had really distabilized me because I did not expect to see those eyes soon enough, because if am seeing those eyes does that mean I am those things that I saw in the dream?

“ Hey couz , I was hoping you will come with me to the bistro today to help out” Jeremy said from the door of my room while peeking inside.

“Ok then give me a minute to dress up “ he nods and and retreats , I quickly throw on a tank top and then peeled off my pj and changed into shorts, I went to the mirror and did my hair up into a loose updo with some hair framing my face, after touching up my lips with lip gloss, I put on my brown contacts before stepping out of my room to the living room.

I met Jeremy outside sitting in his little convertible waiting for me, looking quite good , I jumped in and he took off driving towards the bistro, Uncle and Aunty has been out of town for three days now and we had been the only ones at home.

On getting to the Bistro we both came out and walked into the place to find it jam packed, I immediately went to work taking orders and delivering them, and before I knew what was happening it was 4pm.

“ Gemini love , why don’t you take a break? And come back after you are rested “ I looked up to see Pedro the chef looking at me with concern, and I nodded.

“ I heard Nate would be taking his dinner in here today after his surfing class ends” Marie the kitchen help squealed while explaining to Rico the kitchen boy.

“ Oh my God really , I really cannot wait to see him here though” who the hell is this Nate guy and why is everyone fawning over him? I was on my way out of the kitchen when I remembered that I had not served my last customer his juice, so I quickly grabbed juice poured it into a cup and walked out with it.

But immediately I took a step out , I bumped into a hard wall, and it was like de ja vu, I felt that same current run through me , but before I could recover I had already emptied the content of the cup all over the hard wall. Slowly I looked up and boom warm eyes , no no no, I turned and tried to run away but I slipped from the wet juice and started falling forward , but I was caught by the waist and pulled up.

“ Are you ok?” Oh my his voice is warm too? I cleared my throat and then looked away before weakly answering him.

“ Yes , Um thanks, I uh am sorry for spilling stuff on you “ I said and risked looking up into his eyes.

“ That’s fine, but why do you always run from me? “But before I could answer.

“ what is your name?” I was still contemplating on answering him but Jeremy beat me to it.

“ what is it to you Alpha?” Jeremy said appearing from nowhere and standing between me and him, this took me by surprise because Jeremy is not really an aggressive person.

I saw the hunk with warm eyes , look at Jeremy with  a surprised brow raise and then smiled politely.

“It’s Gemini and do not mind my cousin, let me make it up to you for the spilled drink” I spoke up to stop them from engaging in a stare fight, plus I had a feeling that this guy would tear Jeremy to pieces but then I saw something that surprised me, and it disappeared so quickly and it felt like I might have imagined it, I saw Jeremy’s eye change into red eyes and then a growl came from hunky but then it disappeared almost immediately.

I turned to look at Jeremy but found his eyes clear, and hunky smiling so sweetly. I quickly led him to an empty table and it felt like the whole bistro went back to their business. After sitting him I glared at Jeremy as I walked into the kitchen.

He quickly followed me into the kitchen , and I felt like my body was on fire , but before I could turn I heard a slam and when I looked back I saw the chef pinning Jeremy to the wall, with his eyes blood red.

I was so scared and I scooted to the back of the store, while  Rico gave me water to drink.

“ what is wrong with you Jeremy? How dare you attack an Alpha in here? And almost fry your Cousin to death? You know how much your parents worked to stay on a neutral side with the magic council “ I heard pedro say to Jeremy , of which I did not understand anything they were saying except from the fact that truly Jeremy’s eyes really did turn pure red.

After sitting there for a while , Pedro called a cab for me and sent me home through the back room, I did not argue  and when Pedro told me to not panic that Jeremy was just trying to protect me from something bad, but then he had this sad look on his face.

“ But it’s too late I guess” Pedro said , and I did not understand what he meant, when I tried finding out what he meant he just said.

“ some of us just have the same fate as our parents “ then he sent me home in the cab, nothing made sense and I could not wrap my head around how things happened today and why.

Not long I got home and ran into my room and locked my door, that is after I raided the fridge and carried enough snacks to keep me in here until my uncle and Aunt came back.

I remembered that in that strange dream, my eyes color changed from blood red to golden vivid Iris,and I made a sound like hunky did. What the hell is going on? I quickly ran to the mirror and found that I had a growth on either side of my head, like the dream, I began to scream and cry while begging the  growth to go away.

I sat on the ground totally devastated, first the guy with warm eyes , now some  growth?

What is happening ??
