I feel safe but something feels…off

Before I could understand what's going on, a strong hand jerked my arm, bringing me back to my senses.

"Are you alright?" A worried voice asked.

I lifted my eyes to see him and then I froze.

Prince Dante.

But why would he ask me that?

I'm perfectly fine.

Wait.

Why are we outside?

When did we get here? When did I get outside?

I was resting a while ago.

What's going on?

Dante stared back at me like he had seen a ghost. His piercing blue eyes filled with…

But wait.

Why was he staring at me like that and where were we?

I took a shaky step back and he immediately rushed towards me and lifted me into his arms, pressing me tightly against his rock-hard chiseled chest

"Careful Kira, one wrong move and you'd fall off this cliff" he quickly spoke, his voice filled with concern and fear. His hold tightened protectively around me "Or were you planning to kill yourself?"

Wait, what did he just say?

"Cliff??" I asked confused and he used his eyes to guide my attention towards the huge cliff we were standing on

My breath hitched.

The ground beneath us sloped sharply, leading to nothing but an endless drop. A gasp of air tore from my lungs as fear crawled over my skin like a thousand spiders.

"I didn't, I mean I..." My voice faltered.

He gently stepped away from the edge of the cliff and released me from his warm embrace, but his grip was still there—firm, as if he's scared I would disappear if he let go.

And as fast as lightning, with one hand, he removed his cloak and wrapped it around me.

And there it was that scent again.

That warm, safe and sweet scent.

The scent of him.

His lips softly curved into a soft reassuring smile "It's fine Kira" he murmured calmly, fastening the cloak securely around me. “As long as you're with me you're safe."

His words settled something inside me, but I still felt unsettled. Why was I standing at the edge of a cliff?

"But what are you doing out here?" He asked, staring deep into my eyes as he absentmindedly fiddled with the cloaks button on my body.

And then out of nowhere, I felt his hand brush lightly on my cheeks as he tried to position the hood of his cloak on my head.

His touch was as light as a feather, yet leaving a trail of heat in their wake making my heart flutter.

Then, I heard it.

A whisper.

"Mmmm…" A soft, feminine sigh of excitement.

I stiffened.

The voice was too close.

I quickly tilted my head around but couldn't find anyone else within close range.

My skin prickled. "Did you hear that?" I quickly asked him, my voice barely above a whisper.

Dante barely reacted. "The wind? Yeah it's about to get really chilly" he calmly replied, glancing at the darkening sky. "We'll have to go back to camp now"

And with that he swooped me into his arms filling my nostrils with his heavenly scent making me want to purr so badly.

As we walked back to the camp, my eyes inadvertently travelled towards his chest region where his shirt was hardly doing its job as I could perfectly make out his muscles from underneath and then I reached out to touch him.

His muscles jerked and rippled, sending thunderbolts to my fingers making me retract my fingers hoping he wouldn't notice or at least feel it was an accident but he stopped dead in his tracks.

Was he going to scold me? I waited patiently for him but he said nothing instead he continued walking and I eventually slipped into darkness again

When I opened my eyes, a familiar scent wafted across my nose making me aware that I was inside his tent and on his bed but when I scanned the room I couldn't help but stare at the floor with my eyes widened.

Was I hallucinating?

What was the Lycan Prince doing on the floor when he could have the bed to himself?

Why was he being so nice to me despite not knowing anything about me?

And why was he awake staring right back at me?

"Rest Kira" he said as he gently approached me, carefully tucking me back into his furry blanket and there it was again, that scent and that impending darkness that had begun to scare me.

"Don't leave me, please don't go" I cried out gripping the blanket tightly in panic.

The last time I gave into the darkness I almost committed suicide, who knows what would happen to me again?

"Please sleep next to me" I murmured in fright as I continued fighting with the thought of closing my eyes.

I saw him hesitate just a little.

And in the next moment, he was lying beside me.

As he rested his head next to mine, I couldn't help but take in all his sweet chocolate scent, it relaxed my mind and also made my instincts go wild as I closed my eyes giving in to the darkness.

And then I heard that voice again.

"How lovely would it be for him to wedge himself between our hips and take us while planting his shaft inside us."

My eyes snapped open while my heart kept on beating as though it was going to burst out from my rib cage.

His scent filled the tent but there was no one else there.

But his scent, oh his scent.

And my hands…

Oh dear moon goddess.

What were my hands doing on his bare chest again and why?

And worse—why do I feel the sudden urge to touch him or for him to touch me?

As if he understood what I wanted or heard what I said, he tipped his head to look at me and leaned in just enough for our faces to touch.

"Are you.. Are you alright?" He quickly asked me, his voice was husky, his perfectly beautiful blue eyes stared at me making my belly stir again and my toes tingle and I swear I felt his chest muscles ripple hard again and that voice was back but this time I knew the voice was all in my head.

"Kiss him" she said and I couldn't stop myself.

I tried not to do it.

But in the end,

I knew I wanted to do that so badly.

And with my eyes tightly shut, I did.

Oh moon goddess, be my strength for the sin I'm about to commit. I said to myself as I closed the gap between our faces with my lips.

I made my way towards my men wondering to myself if ignoring her was the best thing to do.I couldn't help it, I was embarrassed of what I almost did last night."That was quick. Trouble in paradise?" Viktor asked, cutting through my thought with a voice filled with sarcasm, his sharp gaze already analyzing me. "Hmm." I grunted in response, unwilling to indulge him.'What do we do Kai?’ I called out internally, my mind searching for my Lycan. ‘She doesn't seem to remember last night, that's a good thing right?' I asked only to be replied with silence.I could feel Viktor's questioning gaze lingering over me like a second skin "You look pale, Dante." It's almost that time again" Viktor whispered as his gaze fell on my tent. That time again. The words rang in my ears.I raised my gaze to my tent where Kira was.Refusing to claim Kira b

I woke up to the loud sound of a falling tree. My body jerked slightly at the sudden noise."Arghhh," I groaned, rubbing my temples as I looked around the quiet and empty tent of my blue eyed savior. The events of the previous day played in my mind one after the other until..."I kiss.. kissed him?” My eyes widened in shock as I sat up abruptly. My fingers trembled as they brushed against my lips, my heartbeat quickening. “That... That had to be a dream right?" I muttered to myself, feeling the heat creeping up my cheeks."Nope, it was far from a dream Kira" I gasped. That familiar voice rang in my headFrantically scanning the empty tent, I felt a shiver run down my spine. I quickly muttered out. "Who... Who said that?""Oh, Kira, you're annoyingly slow" the strange voice sighed, sounding almost exasperated. "But I guess it's my fault, I'd have to reintroduce myself properly. Forgive my manners, my little one. I am Athena, your Lycan wolf."My breath hitched as I stared blankly at t

"What do we do, Dante?" Kai asked in frustration. "Our mate is still pure. We can't take her if Kira is unconscious, that's not right…right?"Damn it. What kind of foolish mistake did I just try to make?We need fresh air."...We want all of you" I managed to say, my voice thick with barely restrained hunger. I saw how she stared at me but this was for the best. Not just for me but for her. I wouldn't be able to face Kira if she found out I had taken her pride while she was unconscious. What would she think of me?Her scent flooded my nose as if trying its best to seduce me into.... No. I can't.But… a little kiss won't hurt right? I asked myself as I went straight for her navel but instead of planting a kiss like I intended I ended up sucking it, hard.Damn it. No. I quickly pulled away and stood up forcing myself to move toward the door trying my hardest not to turn around and see her because if I did there would be no stopping me—or KaiI'm sorry, my mate. "Mate" she screamed and my body shuddered. My cheeks became hot and my breath grew shallow."Let her out, Kira. I'm aware she wants me as much as I want her," that deep husky voice melted the last restraint I had on myself. But… who was he referring to? We were the only ones in the..."Mmmmm" I moaned and purred, my body betraying me as something hard and thick poked against my thigh.Wait. Did I just make that sound? I asked myself as my body's temperature heated up even more, my skin feeling feverish with need."We did, Kira... Now shush let's enjoy the ride" her voice in my head sounded louder and more confident. As much as I would have loved to ask questions I just couldn't. The spot in between my thighs throbbed and ached for something. So I withdrew and let the voice in my head take control, as she seemed to know what to do.Yes. I'm finally out.Now relax Kira and let me do what I know how to do best. Not wanting to let him speak further, I planted a slow passionate kiss on

As our lips parted, Prince Dante stared at me in shock and I knew I was done for. What was I thinking ? Why did I let that strange voice talk me into making such a big mistake? He'd probably throw me out of his camp or worse—kill me for forcing myself on him. What have I done to myself?"I'm…I'm sorry, your highness.." I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper.Dante darted his gaze from my eyes to my lips and then back to my eyes, his face void of any emotions and I tried my best to look for the nearest possible exit. But before I could think of what to do, I heard him speak. No not him… That voice sounded deeper than the voice I had become familiar with and his scent flooded my nostrils in excess."You have no idea how much I've wanted to do that kira" he hoarsely said before he smashed his lips back to mine while wrapping one arm tightly around my waist pulling me closer to him.I gasped.I was wrapped in his godly scent that attacked my senses on all levels. The combination sent a rush of longing through me, making my grip on her tighten just a little.I felt her shudder underneath my touch as she tried her best to explain why she had come to the cliff, but that was a story for another day.
