I woke with a gasp and my chest heaved as I sat upright, my heart pounding so hard that for several seconds I couldn't remember where I was.

I looked around and everything was exactly as I had left it in my room.

I touched my neck but there was nothing on it then I threw off the blanket and hurried toward the window and pulled the curtains open but the glass was clean with no handprint or message.
