Chapter 49: The Mega Mansion

"Relax, Aiden will be fine," Lucas said. "He is with Mom and Dad."

"Oh, I'm not worried about that. I - I guess I'll miss Aiden?" Lily turned to Lucas and asked. "Do we really have to be away for two days?"

"This day doesn't count for a whole day, Lily. It's four in the afternoon," Lucas objected. "So, we will only be away for thirty-two hours."

They still had bodyguards following them around, but Lucas was driving his Lexus, while the other bodyguards were in their own cars. Lucas said they were heading to the highlands of Rose Hills, another property he bought upon his return.

"Is it safe?" Lily asked.

"It's very safe there," Lucas confirmed.

Lily was silent for a good few minutes during the drive. Then, she recalled the night before and how welcoming Lucas' siblings were. She remarked, "How come? How come Marcus or any of your sisters were not angry at me?"

"I had made it clear to them that you and Aiden are my happiness. I'm pretty sure they had a talk with Mom and Dad."
