“Here is your room, you can stay here until—“

Peace was showing Charlotte around the mansion and she even gave her one of the best rooms in the mansion.

When Charlotte saw her stop in the middle of her words her eyebrows knitted together, “How long?!...” she asked.

“I don’t know!—“ Peace looked flustered and ashamed.

“How come is it that you don’t know? Aren’t you working with them?”

“No! I am not!” She strongly refused, she had guilt in her eyes as she looked at Charlotte, but it was not because she had done something wrong, it was because she was covering up for her friends.

“I mean I just can’t—I can’t let anything happen to them,” She looked away.

Charlotte felt disappointed, she stepped away from Peace and muttered lightly.

“I am feeling tired! I would like to rest for a while,” Charlotte looked away,

“Okay! You can rest! I will leave you here then,” Peace turned around but wasn’t able to leave the room as she had seen the sadness and disbelief in Charlotte’s eyes when Alex told her that he would not let anything happen to her father’s company.

“Listen!” Peace turned back at her, Charlotte didn’t look back at her, “ I know you think Alex is lying about saving the company and stuff—but I promise you I won’t let them ruin that!”

“And why should I trust you?” Charlotte slowly looked at Peace and demanded an explanation.

“I—I don’t know,” Peace was at a loss of words, and she looked down at her hands.

“I don’t know the real reason why you kidnapped me, but I want to tell you that as long as I keep on getting good news from the side of the company, I will be good, and as soon as I see something off—I will not let anyone of you get out of it alive,” she was a soft-spoken girl but the way she uttered those words sounded really threatening. Peace breathed out and nodded.

“I will keep that in mind, have a great rest.” She walked out of the room and according to Alex’s instructions she locked the door. The windows were not sealed as it was the third floor and under which there were electric fences, so jumping wasn’t a very good idea.

                  ………………………………………………….

“Boss!! Miss Charlotte is here! She wishes to see you,” a young and attractive woman walked into Isaac’s office and spoke with a soothing voice. Isaac didn’t look at her and spoke.

“Where is Jermy?”

“Boss, you asked him to pick up your parcel,” she spoke with a confused face, ‘did he forget already? It was like 3 minutes ago,’

“Oh! Tell her that I am busy, I will meet her in—“  glanced at his watch, “In an hour,”

“Okay Boss,” She replied and went out. Isaac attentively read the papers before him, it seemed very interesting to him rather than a human being that he had left waiting.

While Isaac completely forgot about his meeting, Ada sat silently waiting for him to arrive. She occasionally glanced at her phone and back at the door but neither of those places showed any hopeful results until her phone gave a light ring and the screen showed a notification from Peace.

“Sorry for being late, I was working. Don’t worry I have already prepared your file and I will be there in 15 min.” It was a long text that showed how desperately she was trying to get there in time.

“Hurry up!!” Ada mumbled and looked up at the door. “What is taking him so long?” She breathed out heavily.

Ten Minutes passed and the door opened, it was Jermy with an apologetic expression.

“Miss. Charlotte I am extremely sorry, you had to wait again but Boss is a bit busy with work so I will be discussing the issue with you,”  Jermy was holding a blue file. Ada pouted, ‘ why is it so hard to catch his attention!!?’ She screamed inwardly.

“Yes, let’s do that,” she gave a forced smile.

“That’s great!” He took a seat and opened up the file. “Here,” he handed over the file to Ada,

She took it and read through the papers. After a few minutes of reading Ada frowned.

“Can we wait for a moment, I would like my advisor to help me outing this,”

“Your advisor?!”

The door opens just in time and Peace walked in with a serious face.

“Sorry, I am late,” the words sounded nothing like an apology when she said it.

“You are finally here!” Ada jumped up, her tensed face was finally relieved. “Here take a look at this,”

Ada didn’t know a thing about office work; she had her own talents but this was far from her reach. Peace had agreed to help her because she wanted to keep the promise she had done to the real Charlotte.

Jermy was led speechless as he saw her walk around the table, she sat gracefully on the couch against him and placed her bag on the floor. She then took the file from Ada”s hand and opened it,

After reading the content of the file, Peace seemed dissatisfied, and she looked up at Jermy and asked.

“Why does it seem like it's not a mutual agreement! It more like my client is going to be his slave for the next few months after She has signed this,” Peace spoke.

“Huh?” It was as if Jermy wasn’t expecting this kind of response from her.

“I knew something like this was going to happen, so I came well prepared.” Peace picked up her bag and pulled out another file. She placed it on the table and pushed it towards him.

“Take this to your boss, and tells him if his answer is yes, then We will have a deal and the answer is no—then Farewell,”

There was a sudden silence in the room. Ada's eyes flashed in Peace’s direction, while Jermy seemed like he had seen a ghost.

“You sounded so much like him—“ both of them spoke together, they were shocked to see how similar their words were.

“Pardon?” Peace asked, “I sound like whom?” She asked.

“Isaac! Boss!” They replied together.

“I will not take it as a compliment, I would like you to take this file to him. He can contact Miss. Charlotte once he has agreed.” Peace got up, and saw Ada not moving, “ Aren’t you coming?” She asked.

“Oh! I forgot,” Ada got up and followed Peace,

Jermy sat dumbfoundedly staring at the closing door.

“What was that? I have goosebumps all over my body,” he looked pale.
