A little while later, Dani walked in with some Wendys. She walked over to Jade and gently touched her. Jade opened her eyes and smiled at Dani. “Hey, I hope you don’t mind Wendy's. I got you some.” She smiled.
“No not at all, thanks!” Jade said.
Jade sat up and took the bag and soda from Dani. She forced the straw into the cup and sucked the soda out. She opened the bag and placed the fries on the bed and hamburger in her lap. Garrett watched her and decided he needed to find something to feed on. He looked at Dani and decided to go out for a bit. Maybe a dog or something nearby it was getting close to dark and they would have to move.
Jade bit into the sandwich, it tasted so good. Dani turned on
Jade moved over to her bed and packed her bag; she ran to the bathroom to get her brush and other materials. “Okay, I'm ready.” She spoke. Dani and Garrett got to their feet, Dani went to the office to pay for the room and to give them the keys. Garrett and Jade walked to the car they got in and waited for Dani. Dani slowly walked over to the car and got in. “All done let’s go.” She spoke. Garrett started the car, and moved into the street, and headed West. Jade looked out the window, she wanted to talk to her dad but knew it would just make her miss him more. She felt like she'd just got something back into her life to have i
The man stopped in front of Garrett and smiled. Jade looked up; his eyes met hers. He had light brown hair and green eyes, his smile mouthwatering. “Hello, I am Maximus, Max for short,” Max said. Jade smiled and then looked over at Garrett. “This is Jade she is a little shy.” He laughed. “Ah Jade, you smell nice. It’s nice to meet you.” Max said. Jade just smiled. Max extended his hand to shake hers. Her hand trembled but made it into his hands. He gently closed his hand and shook it and then released it. Garrett cleared his throat; Max brought his attention to him. “We sho
She peeked up and smiled. A pair of beautiful blues eyes stared at her. “Yes, I think I am. Is it okay if I make something to eat?” She asked. “Here let me make you something, what will you have?” He asked. “Oh, I don’t care, as long as you don’t offer me blood.” She smiled He smiled back and went into a cabinet. “You seem a bit skinny, maybe I will make a feast for you.” He suggested. “Oh, I don’t eat a lot, but I will take whatever you give me. My stomach has been growling all day.” He let out a ch
Jade turned around; Max stood there with Garrett. Selena moved back a little and took a bow. “I just want to show her she is not to fear the vampires in the town.” She begged. “You do not need to scare her any more than she already is. When she is ready to accept that we will not hurt her she will go out on her own.” Max growled. Garrett moved quickly to Jade's side, she smiled as he put his arm around her waist. “Jade are you ready to go and see all the bloodsuckers outside?” Max said. “Umm won't they bite me?” She asked. “No, but since you still fear that I ask that you s
Morning fog settled over the mountains, Garrett and Dani headed back to the castle. Garrett smelled the air before speaking. “Something isn't right!” He demanded. “What, what is wrong?” Dani said shaking her head, she didn’t feel any different. “I smell something wrong, let’s get back.” The two of them ran as fast as they could to the castle. The castle laid quiet; Garrett stayed on guard. “Well, there isn't anything here.” She commented. Garrett looked around, still having the smell tickle his nose, he slowly moved towards the door.
Garrett turned towards Jade and darted towards her. The man let Jade go before he got there. Jade grabbed around her wrists, Garrett looked down and saw the bracelets. “Spell Blade.” He spoke. “Guards!” “Ha, ha, ha. You're too late Garrett she’s already been marked.” He said. The guards rushed over and arrested the man, Garrett hugged Jade and walked with her inside. Max waited by the door. Jade messed with bracelets, Max grabbed a hold of her hand and examined them. “They are from the Spell Blades, she’s been marked,” Max said. “Marked, what does that mean?” Garrett
“Jade!” Someone yelled. She opened her eyes and looked to where the voice was. Garrett came running up, he stopped the knelt. “What were you thinking?” He growled. “I'm tired of feeling like a burden on everyone.” She complained. “Would you stop that, if we didn’t want to protect you we wouldn’t?” He spoke. “He pushed something on the bracelet, it sent pain into my wrist.” “Who?” He asked. “Gage.” “He was here?” He asked. &
“An hour at most, and then I will do your request.” He whispered. Max nodded, Garrett walked past him, he slammed the door before walking down the stairs. The guards at the gate opened it without asking questions. He ran as fast as he could to the nearby forest area. He wasn’t eager to find a kill, just in a hurry to be by himself so he could think harder. Garrett's breathing started relaxing, he leaned against a tree and closed his eyes. His thoughts again were about Jade. He concentrated on her beautiful smile, her amazing body, and her personality. He thought about the night he kissed her for the first time, she was upset that night and he made her night better. A smile formed o
