Rowena

The next day, I woke super early, even though the sun wasn't up yet, I went to lie under the big oak tree behind our house, watching the sky. It reminded me of the old days when I met Alpha Jaden, we were just kids. I just found the tree. All I wanted to do that day was lie there and cry my eyes out, but the cute little boy came around the tree and talked to me.

Since that day that's where we have always come to meet each other and that's where he made the promise to make me his Luna once he comes back, Now this day is coming Im scared and excited all at once, can't wait to see the look on on my family faces when he present me at his Luna, as the sky was getting clear I got up to walk back to the house and make breakfast.

As I got to the door, I heard a giggle. It wasn't much, but it was enough for me to listen to it.

Must of us have a sensitive hearing but mine is over sensitive I could hear things for miles and miles, I learn at a very young age to control it or I would spend days with headaches by hearing everything and everyone's thoughts, Quietly I made my way in the back to find Mira and some guys being all mushy over each other, his arms around her waist while she was on tiptoe kissing him.

Eww, and she wants Alpha Jaden to make her Luna of this pack, hell no, grabbing the phone that I barely use and starts taking pictures hoping that they would stop kissing, so I could get a good look at the guy, after a few minutes of waiting and nothing I was about to leave when they finally pull away from each other to get air, I almost lost my balance when I saw who it was.

“ No, it can't be, “ I whisper to myself before I look around the corner again to confirm my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. “ He wasn't supposed to be home for another day. Why is he kissing Mira?”

“ Alpha Jaden, when are we doing the ceremony?” She asked him in that annoying voice that I hate.

Pushing her hair off her shoulder, he kissed her neck and said, “ Patience, my love, we need the contract to be signed first.”

Not satisfied, she pouted at him, “ What does that have to do with our mating ceremony? Whether Rowena wants to or not, she will be sent to the Golden Pack.”

I can't believe what I'm hearing; everyone around me was onto the plan of sending me instead of Mira. I was the fool to think that no one knew.

“ You know your sister better than I do; she might do something unexpected, and if that happened, we don't need anything else to stop us from having control over her,” He explained to her.

His words pierced my heart like a dagger had just hit me; I couldn't believe I was hearing this right now. Did the person I have been waiting for all these years not feel the same way I do? Was I being a fool all these years?

Tired of hiding being in the house, I step out and say, “ Alpha Jaden?” It's almost come out as a whisper.

Shock and surprise cross their faces, then they startle, moving away from each other. It's too late for all that I already saw and heard, most of it.

“ Ro-Rowena, what are you doing here?” He asked once he had composed himself.

“It's my house where else should I be?, when did you get back?” I tried to touch his arm, but he moved away at the last moment. I was still in the little bubble that I created, where he was coming to save me. That move alone has me second.

“ Uhm, I came to see your f-” He started to say, but Mira cut him off by saying, “ He came to see me, why are you out here? Go make breakfast,” She ordered me.

Still not moving or breaking eye contact with him, “ Why would you come see her? What's going on?”

Again, Mira was the one who answered, “ He doesn't own expl-” I slapped her. When it happened, I don't know. All I wanted her to do was to be quiet.

She turned her head and looked at me with so much rage that I thought she would end me right here, right there. Instead, Alpha Jaden was the one who slapped me. “ How dare you put your hands on your future, Luna!” He yelled with so much hate.

His words echo in my ears while tears gather in my eyes, ready to fall at any moment. “ What?! , No, Jaden, you promise me that I'll be your Luna,” I say to him.

His cold laughter sends a shiver down my spine. “ You! My Luna NEVER!!” He moved closer to me, pinning me to the back of the house, he continue with the insult “ That was never going to happen, you were always gonna go to the Golden pack with me manipulating you, that's why I became your friend, meeting you under that tree wasn't an accident”

Each words push the dagger deeper in my heart, leaving me broken from the inside and out. “ Why?” I find myself asking them, looking at Mira and saying, “I'm your sister, I never did anything to hurt you, WHY?!”

Laughing, they both laughed as if I had told a joke, then they got serious.

Mira leans on Alpha Jaden's shoulder and says, “ It wasn't planned the first time I did it was because I like your toy and I asked for it, but then it dawned on me that I could get anything I want from you as long as I told our parents.”

Rage feel me and I lunge myself at her, I might not have my wolf but I have claws, I was scratching everywhere I could get my hands on while yelling “ This is a JOKE TO YOU? MY LIFE IS NOT A JOKE!” wrapping my hand around her neck i squeeze as hard as i could “ They are our parents why did you do it?”

“ No, they are not!” I heard Jaden say with rage from behind us while he pulled me off Mira, his words caught me off guard, which made it easy for him to move me.

“Wh-what did you just say?” I stumbled back.

“ They are not your parents, you are just an orphan! “ Mira yelled back at me once she was back on her feet.

I don't believe this “ No, no it's not true, YOU LYING!”

Jaden slapped me. “She's not lying, they are not your parents, but your uncle and aunt, your father's mate to some woman, then he left the pac,k nobody heard from them until they were killed and you came to leave with your aunt and uncle”

I don't want to listen anymore so I ran, ran and ran away from their lies, they want to justify how they've been playing me for a fool so now they are lying, it's all lies, I can't believe anything they are saying. When I finally come to a stop it was right under the oak tree the place that hold so many memories, memories that now I wish I could erase, I lay there and cried my eyes out, maybe that would ease the pain.

Rowena During a private breakfast with the brothers, they explained to me the reason behind them not telling me the truth from the begin and I understand where they were coming from since the situation is a sticky one, wrong one move and they would lose their heads, so it's understandable that they would choose who to let on the truth. I was still salty about them not giving a chance to have a choice in wether or not I wanted to stay after finding out about them, I guess I just wanted to have control over something in my life since my being here was against my will, and now I have to keep this big secret. Sigh, I push the door to the meeting room open I found the ladies were already in there waiting for me, I wanted to get the meeting done early so Yara could have time to get back for her shift at the bar “ Wolverine” So she didn't get in trouble with her stepdad. “ I notice that there weren't many female warriors. I know that the women stayed behind to protect the childr

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Secret out

Lukan Lucian and I stood frozen, staring at the place where she had just walked in and out. We knew she saw us, so now we were waiting for her reaction. A small part of me was hoping that she didn't, but it was too late for Lucian to even leave. Besides, there was no hiding room in our new bedroom, so basically, we were sitting ducks, holding our breath, waiting for her next move. It didn't take long for her to push the door back open and walk in with a frown on her face. She looked from me to Lucian, wishing I could read what she was thinking and feeling, but her face gave nothing away. I don't think I was even breathing at this point. The silence and staring were killing me. All I wanted was to say something, anything, even if it was to curse us out. I'll take it. “ So, Uhm, which of you will tell me what's happening?” She finally says after what feels like forever. Being casual about everything, Lucian said, “Any chance you can forget what you saw?” He had half a grin on

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Ceremony

Rowena Quickly closing my eyes back because the light had blinded me when I first opened them, I didn't need to see where anything was to know I was back at the clinic. Hopefully, this time, it wasn't for an extended period like last time. I felt the side of the bed move before hearing a voice ask, “You awake?” Opening my eyes slowly this time, I saw Casey sitting next to me on the bed, getting into a sitting position. “ Were you worried that I might not wake up?” Facing the wall, “ who worried about you? I didn't want anything to happen to my free meals,” He said. Shuffled into his hair, “ Whatever you say, kid, help me off the bed.” Puffing, “ I'm not a kid, and the pretty lady Doctor says you can't get out of bed before she checks you.” Leaning on my elbow, I stare at him until he looks back at me, “So, she gets to be called pretty lady, and you won't even say my name? That's so unfair!” I complain to him. Looking unsure, he looks around briefly before saying, “

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Missing

Lukan Missing, missing I keep replaying those words over and over in my head since the moment that Rich rushed into the office and gave us the news, everyone that have gone to look for her came back empty handed with no news of where she went, all they have to say is “ We didn't find her, Alpha” words that I refuse to believe. She was going to the clinic to see Casey, and then she was gone just like that. How could she be gone? She was just here getting ready for our mating Ceremony that is supposed to take place tonight. When we checked the cameras, they showed that she was indeed on her way to the Clinic, but after that, there was nothing. It's as if she disappeared; I know that's not true. Someone messed with our high-tech security, and the guards out front are useless. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's not just our cameras they mess with. They are working with someone within our pack, which means we have a traitor. Finding whoever works with the outsider will be nearly

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Fullmoon

Lukan Leaving her in bed was the hardest thing that I have ever done, I had no choose but to get out of bed and go for my morning run and make sure that everything is prepare for the full moon tonight, due to the rogue attacks we are skipping the pack run, instead we will have everyone around enjoying a little run with the pups and while watching the moon with a barn fire night, security around the property as been double and thanks to Rowena’s guys we weren't short for the Shadowbrook Pack members. I closed the door as quietly as I could and went to my room to change for my morning routine. “ Did you sleep here?” I asked Lucian when I saw him lying in my bed. Getting off “ Yeah, I came to check on you, so I ended up falling asleep” Check on me. “Did something happen?” I haven't been my usual self, so something might have gone over my head. “ You used your power yesterday,” he says. Ah, right. I explained to him that I needed to do what I did yesterday. We didn'

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Kidnap

Rowena I woke up with a splitting headache and shaky fingers. I touched the back of my head, and my fingers came back bloody. Putting much of my weight on my elbow, I sat up to better understand where I was. Adjusting my eyes to the room, everything was still dark; either I had gone blind, or this whole room was designed with black furniture only. The scent that overpowered my nose let me know I was no longer in the Golden Pack territory. Now, the better question is, where am I? And who has taken me? My only memory is of going to the clinic to see Casey and possibly persuade him to attend the Ceremony tomorrow night. Looking at my tied hands and feet, I never got the chance to make it to the Clinic. “ Ugh,” I try to untie the rope around my hands, but the damn thing doesn't move an inch. “ Don’t bother, the only way you are getting out of those knots is if I cut you out,” the cringe voice of Jessica says from the doorway. Rolling my eyes at her, “So you're responsible fo
