Chapter 2373 Dead End

Author: Five Generals
Twenty minutes later, Kaze had covered a distance that would normally take an hour, arriving at the edge of South Hill Dam.

The drivers of the two Ford Raptors chasing him were clearly skilled. Despite constantly having to track Kaze's movements and attempt overtakes, they managed to keep the gap between them under 300 meters.

Barely an accelerator's push away.

“There’s barely any traffic ahead. They’ll catch up soon!” Buffy warned.

She was familiar with the roads in the area.

Ahead was a quiet route leading to the county. It was an old highway, mostly used for practice by driving school.

As if in sync with Buffy's concern, the two Ford Raptors behind them suddenly accelerated, closing the distance.

Vroom!

Kaze turned left sharply.

The Phaeton swerved across the dotted line into the opposite lane, darting onto the asphalt road skirting the South Hill Dam.

The Ford Raptors assumed Kaze was getting desperate, and without hesitation, they followed, like predators closing in on

Kaze smiled and finished off the last man standing. The situation was rather intriguing and exasperating. These people had the audacity to drug Clarice. They were asking for it. “Weren’t you cocky earlier? You don’t seem so brave now.” Kaze approached Clemont. Clemont backed away in fright until there was nowhere to hide. He fell back onto the couch and looked up at Kaze as the latter towered over him with aggression. “W-What do you want? Don’t forget who my father is. If you do anything to me, he will make you pay.” During desperate times, Clemont would remember his father. Only Morris could help him now. “You’re such a wimp. You were so full of yourself, but there is no substance to you.” Clemont was just pathetic, and it was beneath Kaze to deal with him. Kaze did not forget the real reason he was there in Westeros. Though it was not a great time to kill Clemont, Kaze could still rough him up a little. “So what? My father is a senior member of the organization.

“What the hell is going on?”’ Kaze got a bad feeling, and detected that something was not right. “I don’t know. The guest is there. You’ll know when you get inside.” The waitress walked out in a fluster. She acted like she could get caught out. It struck Kaze that the whole thing could be a diversion tactic. “Shit. It’s a deliberate act.” Though Kaze had no idea who was behind this, the intention must be to get him away from Clarice. There was bound to be an attack on Clarice. Kaze sprinted back to the private room. A crowd blocked the entrance as men and women danced together with thrill. With no time to lose, Kaze elbowed his way through the crowd. He needed to see if Clarice was safe. By the time he made it past the crowd, he found Clarice spread across the table. A familiar figure stood next to her. Kaze thought Clemont would not act recklessly after the warning. It never occurred to Kaze that Clemont would have the audacity to make the same mistake.

The bouncers kept a close watch on the situation inside the club. If anything happened, they would step in and protect the customers. Kaze was worried at first, but after seeing the bouncers, he felt a little bit more confident leaving. “If that’s the case, I’ll be right back. You wait for me here. Don’t go anywhere.” He was still worried, but since Clarice did not mind, he did not need to be so stiff. “No worries. I’m going to be fine. Come back faster.” Clarice picked up a fruit from the plate and waved at Kaze casually. Kaze then followed the waitress away. Clemont saw everything from afar. The obstacle had been removed. “Young Master Siegfried, the drink is here!” Jackie then put a bottle of drugged whiskey in front of Clemont. Clemont felt better after consuming some alcohol. He then picked up the bottle and went over with a smirk. He knew the waitress had brought Kaze away. Now, if he approached Clarice, drugged her, and took her away, he would be able t

Clarice could tell that Kaze cared about her and she was grateful for it. However, she hoped that he could be the one to take the initiative instead of her. “That’s more like a man! Come on. Again.” Martin poured himself another glass, refusing to look at the eyesore of a couple. He also filled Kaze’s glass. Clarice frowned at his action. “He’s with me. How can you force him to drink in front of me? Stop it.” Martin was displeased by her defensiveness, but he did not say anything. “I’m not. I just want to drink with him because I see him as a friend.” “Yeah. Friends should drink together.” “Clarice, since when are you so defensive of your boyfriend?” Her friends teased her again, blurting out unfiltered words without even thinking. “Cut the nonsense. It’s getting late. I thought you guys said you had to leave early.” She lifted her glass to tap on the table. “Let’s call it a day. I want to stay a little longer with Kaze. You guys can go ahead. This one's for y

“Young Master Siegfried, you can do it!” Jackie did not know about the conflict between Clemont and Clarice, but he knew he had to please his young master. If he wanted to continue serving Clemont, then he would have to plan meticulously to ensure things went smoothly. “What idea do you have?” Clemont looked at Jackie with an intrigued expression. Jackie might look like a gentleman, but he was the one with the most terrible ideas. “As long as I can ease your burden, I would be glad to do it. We are in a club, it’s loud and noisy. If they accidentally ate something that causes more than a tummy ache, no one would know either. “The club is filled with surveillance cameras, but there are a lot of people here. If something really happens, who’d know what we did?” He already had an idea in his mind. He always preferred to drug his enemies to achieve his objective. He was careful and made sure never to leave any trail behind. “You sure have a lot of tricks up your sleeve.

“Again! I won’t lose to you again.” Clarice was having a lot of fun. She glanced at Kaze and hoped he could join her. “This place has a lot of cameras. You really don’t need to be so stiff. Come join us.” “You should drink less. You’ve drunk like four, five glasses. Liquor can easily knock you out,” Kaze said. He did not want Clarice to pass out. “It’s fine. I can drink. I’ve never been drunk before,” Clarice said confidently. “Yeah. Don’t worry. We know what we are doing. We won’t let her pass out on us. We still want her to bring us around to have fun,” Martin said. “That’s right. You should join us. Let’s have fun together. You just seem like an outlier like this.” “Are you looking down on us? Why are you so serious?” Some of the friends grumbled. Kaze simply smiled and clinked his bottle with theirs. “This is all I am having. You guys continue, don’t let me hold you down.” His polite response put them at ease. It felt wrong to reprimand him, so they went back

Unfortunately, she was disappointed by Kaze’s reaction, but she could not say it out loud. Maybe the time was not right, and they lacked a mutual understanding. Kaze sipped on his glass of lemon water while sitting in a loud and lively club. He watched Clarice play with her friends instead of joining them. Based on their interaction, they seemed close. Those who lost the mini game would have to drink. Clarice had no restrictions on spending money, so she ordered a few more bottles of drinks for her friends. Other people were surprised by how many bottles she ordered. Everyone in the club enjoyed themselves, indulging in freedom and desire. There was no scheme or malice, only joy and happiness. Kaze did not fit in the noisy environment. He did not know how to enjoy himself. Even though Clarice invited him to play many times, he did not show interest and continued sipping his glass of water. “Hey. We are all here to have fun and drink, but you are drinking water. Don’t

“It’s okay. They are my usual friends. They won’t stay for long.” Clarice was not concerned about her friends’ background. Her friends were from her racing team. They had not met up since the crash, so Clarice asked them out for a talk in person. She always loved to challenge her limits to discover what she could truly achieve. She was bold and brave. “I see. I understand,” Kaze said succinctly. Clarice did not know what to do about Kaze’s brief answer. He never seemed to change and did not bother to care about her feelings. If this kind of interaction continued, her efforts seemed useless. Even though it felt hopeless, she wanted to continue because she was hopeful. “You’ll know more about them when we reach. They are my usual racing guys, and they are preparing for another race in a few days. I want to join this time.” Clarice was reprimanded by her uncle since her crash and her bike was confiscated. There was nothing she could race on. She planned to beg her un

“Stop pushing it! You clearly showed interest in taking a step further, and it’s fine by me to react like that. We are going to get engaged soon, and eventually be husband and wife. This is just a normal part of the procedure!” Clemont still did not think he did anything wrong. “So, you can just fuck a girl that you just met? Are you that filthy and cheap?” Phoebe looked at Clemont with disgust and disdain as if she were looking at an inferior being. “Am I wrong? We are all adults! Stop playing innocent! It’s the fastest way to get to know each other better!” Clemont was losing the argument, but he was infuriated by Phoebe’s attitude. “Are you going to hit me or not? I’m leaving if you choose to be a coward,” Phoebe argued. She switched to an arrogant tone. Instead of being mad, she deliberately provoked him. “Get out of my face.” “This isn’t your restaurant! You have no right to ask me to leave! I just don’t want to argue with you, you piece of shit!” Phoebe played
