Alodia literally jumped back because of it. Her hand was on her breast. She turned and walked away from him, as fast as she could. But Harman followed her and held her arm tightly.
“Will you stop running away from me? If you do, I’ll still follow you around. You know that!” he said in a hard tone.
She looked at him with desperation in her eyes. She thought he was just one of those men that she left with a broken heart. She would let them fall in love with her and leave them high and dry, and then, she was on her merry way.
