Chapter 9

     (Next day)

    Ray's P. O. V

   I woke up the next day feeling groggy. Lying on the bed, I stayed awake for hours, still thinking about the picture I saw in my dad's study and why he doesn't want to talk about it. I eventually slept in the early hours of the morning, only to be woken up by my alarm.

   Stretching out, I proceeded to the bathroom and did my morning duties. Once I was done, I got out and cleaned myself out, wearing my clothes and other accessories. Putting on my wristwatch, I walked out of the room down to the kitchen 

   I stopped at the kitchen to take a bottle of water from the fridge. Unscrewing the cap, I drank from it, my gaze wandering. That's when something caught my eye in the trash can. It was the picture, but this time it was in the trash bin. Who put it there? Looking around me and seeing no one nearby, I picked it up and removed the picture from the frame, then dispos
