~Raven

I don’t even know what the hell is going on anymore.

Katherine... isn’t Zoey?

What a wonderful damn twist.

And Luna, sweet, dead, buried Luna is actually alive?

I stared at the glass in my hand, then downed the rest of the whiskey in one long gulp, the burn doing nothing to clear the fog in my head.

I let out a short, bitter laugh, half amusement, half madness.

Smiling to myself like a fool, I whispered under my breath, “Of course she’s alive. Why wouldn’t she be?”

Everything I thought I knew was crumbling. And yet, somehow, this chaos felt familiar.

Almost like home.

I broke the glass cup against the floor, sharp shards scattering like the lies around me.

The sound rang through the balcony air, sharp, final, satisfying.

I leaned on the railing, breathing hard, then dragged my hand through my hair, roughing it up like I could scrape the madness out of my skull.

Nothing made sense anymore. Nothing.

Luna’s alive.

Katherine isn’t Zoey.

And Zoey, who the hell even is Zoey now? El

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   Clip From The Past

~ElenaIt felt like a dream, but everything was so vivid it might as well have been real.I was clad in all black, the fabric hugging me like it had been tailored for this very purpose. I fastened my thigh holster and slid in the knife, its cold steel brushing against my skin. A loaded pistol went into my hip holster, and I tucked a few extra bullets into the pouch on my belt. I stared at my reflection in the mirror, dark eyes rimmed with tension, jaw clenched."You can do this," I whispered to myself, the words coming out strained, like they had to fight through everything inside me screaming otherwise. My phone rang.Dahlia.No, Luna. Dahlia was her normal name as I am Elena. I took a shaky breath and answered."Hey, I'm already at the center. Where are you?"Her voice was light, unguarded. She trusted me. That trust curled around my throat like a noose."I'm just wrapping something up. I’ll be there soon," I said, forcing my voice to stay calm. "Just hang tight. Don’t go anywher

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   Katherine & Freya

~KatherineI sat alone in my room when Freya walked in, quiet but purposeful.“Thanks for saving us,” she said. She meant it.I shrugged. “I just didn’t want to die. It wasn’t like I intentionally saved all of us.”“At least you did,” she replied, sitting beside me on the bed, her voice softer now.She leaned forward slightly. “So… we just have to find a way to turn Elena against Thorne. Get her to free the Obsidian Sons. Then we can finish him.”She smiled like the idea thrilled her.I smiled too. If Thorne could die, I would be so goddamn happy.“I get it now,” Freya said, her voice dropping. “Why Lucien, Raven… why they’re obsessed with you.”My brows lifted slightly. “Why?”She looked at me with something dangerous behind her eyes, heat, maybe. “Because even I, as a woman, am falling for you right now.”She leaned in, her lips hovering too close to mine. I shifted back instantly.“I’m not a lesbian like you and Rosy. Bitch,” I growled, more instinct than thought. But she didn’t fl

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   When The Devil Falls For The Demon

~ThorneI walked slowly away from them, each step heavier than the last, and returned to my room.I didn’t expect to see her there.Elena.God, I wished she wasn’t.“You look like you just saw something supernatural,” she said softly, stepping closer. Her voice was gentle, curious, but I could barely process it.I flinched, taking a step back. My hands fumbled behind me, trying to find something to anchor me, anything until my back hit the wall.Trapped.Elena’s brows knit in concern. “Thorne…”She got up and moved toward me.“Don’t come near me!” I snapped, panic slicing through my voice sharper than I intended. But she didn’t stop. She dropped beside me, pulled me into her arms like I was something fragile, breakable. Her grip tightened, firm and real. A hug. Not to comfort herself but to hold me together.I didn’t hug back. I didn’t breathe. But I didn’t move either.“Get away from me!” I screamed, my voice cracking. But she didn’t move.“Why?” she asked quietly, “Because they said

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   Thorne In Despair.

~RavenIf laughter were possible right now, I’d have let it out, loud, bitter, and echoing.Luna is alive? What a pathetic excuse to claw your way out of death. This… this was Katherine’s last card? Desperation always brings the dramatic, doesn’t it?“You…” Thorne chuckled lowly, shaking his head. “You never cease to amaze me.”His voice wasn't impressed. It was amused. Like a man standing on the edge of a cliff, watching the waves crash, waiting to see if he'd fall or fly.Katherine didn’t flinch.“If you didn’t believe me…” she tilted her head, eyes fixed on him, “then why did you put out the fire?”Her smile was faint. Dangerous. Almost cruel.Thorne said nothing. His silence was a language all its own.And Katherine filled it.“I didn’t want to tell you before,” she said. “But since it’s my way out…” Her smile deepened, dark and slow. “I had to.”I looked between them.Katherine was gambling with flames. And Thorne… Thorne was the fire. But for the first time, he looked unsure.T

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   Say It Again!

~KatherineFreya was the first to speak, her voice cracking. "We didn’t even know Luna. We never touched her.”“He doesn’t care about facts,” I muttered, keeping my eyes on the door. “He only cares about eliminating threats. Loose ends. Anyone who’s ever been in the same room as Zoey.”“Which means us,” Lorenzo growled. “Because we’ve all stood by you.”I gave him a look. “Not out of love.”He didn’t argue.Rosy whimpered as she shifted on her bound wrists. “There’s no way out. You know that, right? He’s going to burn us alive.”I leaned back against the wall, pretending not to care. “You’re smiling,” Raven said suddenly, voice low and quiet.I turned my face toward him, tilting my head. “Am I?”“You’ve thought of something,” he said.I said nothing. But I didn’t deny it.He leaned his head back against the wall, eyes on the ceiling. “Don’t gamble with us, Katherine. If you’ve got something say it.”I breathed in deep. “I need time,” I said. “And luck. Both of which we don’t have.”
