LOGIN{NYRA} Now that Jayden was out of the house. I could breathe well without having him all around my skin like roses laid across my chest, fragrant but crushing under their weight. A subconscious smile played across my lips as I remembered what he said to me. “Why can't you call me husband?” You should have seen how miserable his face was. Despite the gloomy face he wore, it couldn't beat how effortlessly charming he looked. These days, Jayden and I have been closer. Not very well but close enough to understand each other. Calling him my husband would mean— laying out my heart in the entire basket for him to squash. For a reason, I couldn't risk that. Not when I haven't found out his main purpose behind getting married to me. Every day I blamed myself for giving in due to desperation. It was a very reckless decision from both of us. I sighed with mixed feelings. “I hope I don't regret all these later on.” “I'm so scared, Jayden… I wish you could see that.”
{JAYDEN}Believe me, I got really anxious about the whole surprise. My mind kept bugging me about Nyra not liking it.But I was proved wrong. The way she gasped told me she liked it. That left a passing mark in my ears.“Jayden this is—”Her voice sounded croaky like she was about to cry. “Are you crying, cupcake?” I asked even though I knew the answer.I spiraled to meet her. Our faces collided like two birds flying in the sky. These days, ever since we married, I couldn't seem to keep my hands off her. I promised her that I wouldn't touch her. Yet— it sounded difficult for me. But I'm fucking doing my best not to scare her away. I just hope that someday— she will let me fully in. I couldn't fucking wait. She turned her face away from me. Not letting me see the tears that slipped out of the corners of her eyes. “No—”“Funny girl,” I stifled a laugh to myself. It was evident in her voice.“You are,” I whispered. I tilted her face to meet me again. “Jayden…” She gave a half smile
{NYRA}*Three Days Later*I was back at Jayden’s house with a new life and a hope to build my passions. Nothing was stopping me now. It's been three days since the bathroom incident with Jayden. I’ve been a little distant from him. And cautious.Didn't want to get too comfortable with him.And also, for both of us to live peacefully together— I planned on drafting out a contract agreement for him to sign on. He doesn't know that yet. I just needed to think of what to write on it. The worst part! Jayden ordered that we were to sleep on the same bed together as a married couple. “Look, Nyra. I promised that I won't touch you. That doesn't mean that we can't share the same bed?”The despair clouded his tone.“What about the staff in the house? We said we would keep it a secret from everyone.”Hell! I remembered how concerned etched across my forehead the morning we arrived. And when it was time for us to sleep at night—Luckily for me— Jayden’s staff had gone on a break and would ar
{NYRA}I thought I would have a panic attack right there in the bathroom when I saw him close to me.“Dear lord,” I whispered to myself. I placed my hands on my neck, breathing fast like a victim running away from danger.Actually— he was. A big danger to me. Like speed, I dried myself up and unlocked the door. But I peeped to check if the coast was clear. Jayden wasn't around the bed. He was at the door, speaking to the room service and a female. “Thank goodness,” I stepped outside and went to pick up my damped cloth with the towel wrapped tightly around my body.I was on a mission— not to get seen by Jayden. About wearing the rumpled wet dress back on my body. I noticed he was still standing outside. Half naked. He didn't wear his shirt. He was at the door entrance talking. Only god knew what the discussion was about.Normally, I wouldn't care. I was good at minding my business. The second time, I heard the voice speaking. A lady. I recognized it to be the female receptioni
{JAYDEN}We eventually got to the reception. The hotel wasn't as bad as it appeared from the outside. It wasn't crowded either, just as I wanted. I went straight to the lady. Fair skin, a short height of about 5.4 inches, and blonde shoulder-length hair. Every woman I had a thing with was mostly blonde. Two were brunette if I could remember correctly. “Good evening, Sir. Ace hotel is at your service,” she smiled pleasantly at me. She was beautiful. Her smiles could lure weak men into her bed. I know her type. She wasn't a match for someone who had been in the game long enough.“My wife and I would like the best room here. Which one is suitable for us? I want her to get comfortable with me at night.”Her face dropped. The smug smile was swept off her face and was replaced with disappointment. She thought I had come in here alone. “Oh! There are two rooms of your preference, sir.”“Room 345 and 326. They are upstairs on the left.”Nyra stood beside me with no clue of the heat bet
{NYRA}Now we are heading back to Jayden’s house. His friend, Massimo, I think had already left. From what I gathered from Jayden. They were both best friends in high school and have known each other forever. “What about your car?” My brows knitted together in annoyance when I saw him order another cab. With the experience from the last one— I didn't want another nosy driver intruding in my space. The last thing I wanted was for anyone to ask silly questions or throw assumptions when they see us together.I also needed to get fucking rid of this gown off my body. It was causing a lot of distractions. “For now, Nyra— we can't, until we get home. We have to be careful, remember?”He stared at me. His eyes were soft like a fluffy feather, boring into my soul until it cost my breath to weaken. God! I couldn't take my gaze off him. Jayden wasn't doing anything, but his soft blue eyes did something. The night was intoxicated with sin and lust. I didn't want to be part of it.“I rememb
