BACK IN SCHOOL, HOCKEY STADIUM*

Even Isaac doesn't even have to drag Teal before she agreed to come, surprisingly.

Morgan left the girls with the excuse that she's going home for a family issue, so they're just three right now.

Rebekah and Lizzy have ice cream cones with them to enjoy the game with, but Pearl's hand is empty.

Her hands are in her LC jacket pocket, and her eyes were trained on the field benches where the players are.

Roonie is sitting alone, but his eyes aren't keen or dark as it always it.

He looks livid, like he wants to burn every living thing, like he wants to maim...

Strangle..

Kill.

He looks so fuçking enraged, and Pearl wondered why.

Not like she cares, but whatever got the devil angry like this must earn a point from her or something.

"Does anyone else notice Banks mood changed from cool to dangerous since he got recognized as Master X's son?" Rebekah said, swiping her tongue on her lips to lick the cream crumbs.

"Maybe he doesn't like his father, I mean... whatever" Lizzy shrugged.

"Who knows?" Pearl shrugged too, and Lizzy grinned, grabbing her arm with an hand while grabbing Rebekah's with the other.

"You can decide not to play this game yunno? You look stressed" Axel told Roonie on the field.

"I'm fuçking playing" he replied grimly.

Hockey is the only thing that feels white in his dark world, and he won't forfeit it for anything.

"You sure?" Hyce asked the same question.

"Of course Banks is playing! My star player is playing!" The couch shouted as Banks stood.

Hyce and Axel exchanged glances, and they entered the field at once.

Ten minutes later, the whistle came, and the game started.

Roonie and the guys as the midfielders played excellently as usual, and within 30 minutes, they're on the 20th goal while the rival university had none at all.

The 21st goal came from Levi again, and the crowd went berserk over him.

"Morgan would be screaming madly now if she were here" Rebekah laughed.

"I know, right? Banks!!!" Lizzy took over, and Rebekah laughed again.

Teal even cheered for him beside Isaac.

"This is new" Isaac said, removing a strand of hair from her face

"What can I say? He's pretty good" she smiled.

Pearl found herself palpitating.

She should be enjoying the game, but the thought of what he'd ask for is wounding her mind real bad.

The rival university suddenly got the ball on the field, and they really kept it this time till they got to the goalpost.

Legacy college goalie could have easily stopped the goal, but the ball slipped into the net, and the crowd cheers went down.

Roonie threw down his puck stick and walked fast steps to the goalkeeper, punching him lethally on the lips

The goalkeeper fell with a bleeding mouth, and the crowd stood to their feet in shock.

"You could have stopped that goal bastard!" Roonie glared.

"But I tried and...

"You had enough time to practice but efficiency is far from you isn't it?! You better make sure that shit never happens again, or I'm killing you!" Roonie spat, and the goalkeeper swallowed in fear.

"Banks" Hyce pulled him back.

"Banks? I think you need to take a rest" the coach said gently, then a raindrop landed on Axel's arm.

"Holy cow" he muttered as the raindrops multiplied, turning heavy within minutes.

Everyone began rushing out of the stadium to avoid getting wet, and the crowd kept thinning till the stadium got emptied after five minutes.

Everyone left except Roonie who's standing in the middle of the field, the rain strokes beating him like whips, but he doesn't even seem to be feeling anything.

His neck which got wounded by the sword is open, and it's like the rain made it reopen cos it's bleeding again.

He turned back to leave after some minutes, but his brows dipped when he saw Pearl standing behind him.

She's not drenched though since she has an umbrella over herself, and she looks determined.

"I'm not the type to owe anyone, and I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight if you don't tell me what you want so I'll start working on it" she said, tightening her hold on the umbrella handle.

Again... Roonie detected it.

She's still scared of him though she hides it pretty well, but not so deep for his eyes.

"You shouldn't have come, fox" he said, his voice syncing with the rain.

"What do you mean?" She muttered, holding the umbrella tighter.

"The plan was to let go of everything before, but now that you walked into the den yourself..."

"I can still leave" She quickly cut him off and turned, but she had barely taken four steps when he talked again...

"Running away won't work, I'll hunt"

She turned back to him and saw him walking to the benches already.

He picked up a duffel bag, and she felt her chest tightening again when he started coming back.

She stood her ground though, keeping her strong girl persona till he arrived, but before she knew it, he snatched the umbrella from her.

"What the hell, Roonie!" She gasped, covering her chest with her arms as the rain began beating her too.

He broke the umbrella handle with his knee, and her eyes widened.

"Roonie!" She shouted.

"The more you call me that, the more i wanna crush you" he smirked, and she looked up to meet his deviant eyes.

She gulped.

"You'll start experiencing just how dark my world is...fox" he growled, throwing down the destroyed umbrella.

Pearl's wet hair gummed to her face, and the rest of the locks went down below her chin.

"Wait for it" he whispered before walking out of the stadium.

As if to confirm his words, thunder clapped in the sky, and Pearl wrapped her arms tighter on herself.

It was at that moment she knew...
