Hyce came down from his car with Isaac right in front of the mansion, and he took a deep breath as he stared at the building.

It's been almost a year since he was disowned after he almost ruined his family, but he got an invitation to dinner yesterday, and he's more than happy to be here.

He took Isaac's hand and went in with him.

They met the whole family at the dinning room.

General McCall, then the mother... Mrs. McCall who's also a General.

The brother is on seat too, the barrister.

They all got called back to their workplaces already after Romeo and Jeremy confessed to the warehouse shootout.

"Good evening here" Hyce smiled.

"Good day" Isaac added

"Have your seats" General McCall gestured.

They sat beside each other, facing the three.

The dinner started silently, but two minutes later, the mother spoke up.

"Why didn't you explain to the cops last year that you all were only trying to protect your friends " she asked.

"No one wanted to listen to us. Not even you or dad" Hyce replied.

"Right" his senior brother said in support.

"Don't even start supporting him" General McCall faced him, and the guy smiled.

"Welcome back to the family" Mrs. McCall said, and Hyce smiled so wide.

"Thank you, dad"

"And who's he?" Mrs. McCall asked, referring to Isaac.

"Oh... Meet Isaac Lahey, my boyfriend" Hyce replied, and the senior brother smiled again.

"Welcome to the family, Isaac" he said.

"Thank you" Isaac smiled.

The dinner continued, and Isaac felt more comfortable than he expected.

Apparently, the parents aren't against their relationship, and he couldn't be more happy.

FIRST GOLDEN FOX HOTEL, NEXT DAY__GM'S OFFICE*

Morgan looks overworked already as she stepped out of the conference room with her secretary beside her and bunch of junior staffs.

She only just resumed work today after the nerve-wracking revelation she received last week.

She had to lock herself down in her new house and refused to see anybody, taking time to deflect.

Saying she was drained will be an understatement.

"I think you should clock out for today, miss" her secretly told her when she was about to enter her office.

"What about the interview for the junior manager?" Morgan asked.

"I'm thinking of sending the applicants home and shift it till tomorrow" the secretary replied.

"Send the first three people in, I'll round it up today" Morgan replied, and the secretary left before she finally entered her office.

She drank from her waiting cup of coffee, and immediately he dropped the cup, a knock sounded on the door.

Her 'come in' was followed by the entry of the three applicants, and she was about to smile at them when her eyes widened instead.

The last person to come in is Sabrina!

Her foster sister!

Sabrina couldn't believe her eyes either, so she froze by the door, unable to move as their eyes met.

"Have your seats" Morgan finally said, comporting herself.

Sabrina joined the other two, and the interview started proper.

Sabrina answered the questions with shaky voice throughout, and Morgan had to hold back so she won't burst into laughter.

The interview ended after twenty minutes, and the other two left, but Sabrina was reluctant as she packed her documents.

"Do you have something to say?" Morgan asked, and she looked up.

"Just because you're a manager who interviewed me doesn't mean you have the right to...

"You're still acting tall and mighty even in my office? Are you dumb?" Morgan walked out of her desk and came to her, standing toe-to-toe.

Sabrina shifted.

"What happened to the family business? I heard you have ties with Richard's company, and you got affected so much that it crumbled. Well deserved, isn't it?" Morgan said.

Sabrina couldn't speak, and Morgan smiled.

"You shook throughout the interview, and your answers weren't genuine, so there's no way you're getting the job. Don't bother waiting" Morgan continued.

Sabrina tried to talk, but a smirk from Morgan shut her up.

She rushed out of the office, fighting back her tears.

Morgan smiled victoriously, walking back to her desk after flipping her hair.

The door opened again, and Rook came in.

"I already told you times without number to always knock before entering my office" she rolled eyes.

Rook went out and knocked again before coming in, making her laugh.

"I came to see Banks, and I thought of branching here" he said, taking the coffee on her desk and downing it.

"To do what?" She blinked.

"You said you've always wanted to go ice-skating, I'm here for you" he replied.

"Do you like me or what?" She asked directly.

"That's flat" he replied.

"I am" she replied, and he grinned before grabbing her hand.

"But I still have things to do" she said.

"Banks specifically told me to take you out today. You've been overworking yourself lately" he replied.

"Rook!" She pulled back.

"Come with me" he took her bag and pulled her out of the office.
