"It's Pearl " she sniffled, trying to free herself.

"I like that. That's what I get for the bullshit I said in the morning" he said.

"Truth is...if you decide to burn the world today..." He smiled despite the sadness in his eyes.

"You'll burn it for me?" She mumbled.

"No. I'll hand you the matches and watch you set the world on fire, then we can watch it burn together, little fox. You've always been mine" he said, rubbing her ear.

He made to go closer to him again, but Pearl pushed Roonie back while Tate and Hazzan pulled Mr. Wilson.

Despite that, Mr. Wilson still raised his legs forward, trying to kick him with it, but it didn't reach him.

"Honey!" Tate cautioned.

"Don't tell me you're on this handsome devil's side!" Mr. Wilson shot.

"Good to know you find me handsome" Roonie said casually.

"Oh gawd someone shut him up!" Mr. Wilson shouted.

Silence filled the room for a second afterwards.

Mr. Wilson exhaled harshly while Levi has this slight smirk at the corner of his lips.

Suddenly, Rook and Sybil broke into an heavy, hysterical laughter.

Hazzan just smiled, and Pearl pulled Roonie back to her side.

"Calm down" Tate told Mr. Wilson who's still fuming.

She successfully pushed him outside, and Hazzan followed them.

"That was one hell of a drama" Sybil said.

"Tell me about it" Rook replied.

Roonie slipped an hand on Pearl's waist, and Rook pulled Sybil out.

"Are you sure your jaw is not wounded inside?" Pearl asked worriedly again, standing on the bed to get a better view of his face.

Roonie almost began laughing but held it and carried her, wrapping her legs on his waist.

"His punch lacked energy. I didn't feel anything" he said.

"I won't stay long at home. I just want to cook something for our picnic date then you can come pick me at 1" she said, wrapping her arms on his neck.

"You can... cook?" He frowned.

"Ma will teach me" she replied.

"Why do you call her Ma?" He asked, sitting in bed so she's straddling his laps.

"I just love it better" she replied with a shrug.

He brought his lips to her ear and began sucking teasingly, skimming the shell.

"What the hell are they still doing upstairs?" Mr. Wilson said impatiently.

"Can you just give them more time? It's your daughter's first time in love can't you just be happy for her? Didn't you see the look in her eyes? Have you ever seen her look at any other guy that way? I thought we were both hoping for this day to come" Tate defended.

Mr. Wilson went silent, and Tate went to sit beside him, touching his shoulder.

'Did you forget how she sprayed pepper spray on three different guys last semester because they bumped into her? Or how she stabbed one with a pen, and the one she poured ink on, or the one she went to his house to beat up with her friends" she said.

"I know, Tate. I know I should be happy she's changing, but there's just something about this devil guy. I feel an incredible dark aura...as if...as if something bad is gonna happen to her with him" Mr. Wilson said worriedly.

"You're right about the dark aura. I mean... Banks spent all his years in the darkness, but as for that feeling that something is gonna happen to your daughter with him., trash it" Hazzan cut in.

"Banks is cool, if you don't touch him though" Rook smiled, and Sybil settled beside him, taking the kindle he's holding.

"You've started reading books too?" She smiled.

"Wanted to check out ACOTAR, and now I'm glued" he replied.

"So will you become a writer like me?" She winked.

"Thanks, I'll pass. I'm a future businessman" he said, and she rolled eyes, making him smile.

"You're not wearing makeup" he said, and she blinked.

"What about it?"

"Everytime I see you in campus, you always had it on in excess, especially the lipstick. I almost concluded you can't do without it, but now that I'm seeing your bare face, you're prettier without makeup" he said flatly, and she couldn't help but smile.

"Will you be coming to the Halloween party tomorrow?" He asked.

"Sure! You?" She asked.
