A TRIP INTO THE PAST. PT:1.

A helpless kitten was caught in a hunter's trap. He sat there whimpering and calling for help but after having sat there for nearly two hours he began to accept that no help was coming. His mother had told him not to go wandering around alone, they'd only just moved here and they weren't familiar with the grounds yet. The sixteen-year-old sat there crying and watching his leg bleed out. He has lost way too much blood already at this point he may even be losing a leg.

Fuck, he should have listened to his mother.

That regret was coming a little too late. Giving up on trying he lay in the damped grass and waited for death to take him. At least he would die with some dignity. He didn't know how long he lay there before a shadow loomed over him. Looking up he saw a pair of flaming-colored eyes staring back at him. It was the eyes of the Lycan he had heard so much about. Suddenly the impaled legs weren't hurting anymore as he grew terrified of the Lycan looming over him, the kitten was terrified of being eaten alive.

"Hey, little kitten." The male voice spoke softly but with an underlying growl. "Messy situation you're trapped in, huh." As he said that he gently grabbed onto his leg and pulled it toward himself. The injured cat was screaming by now but the Lycan ignored it all. When his leg was free from the trap the Lycan lifted it above his head, letting the blood drip off the end. As if he could crave it he leaned over the boy and lapped at the liquid.

The cat chirped but stilled as the Lycan lapped at his wounded leg. He didn't seem hungry at first and instead seemed content to lick the crimson liquid clean until he noticed it wasn't flowing away from the leg as it should and it was preventing the healing process and slowing it down. Titling his leg to the side, he noticed what seemed to be the problem. He glanced up at the cat before looking away, licking at his leg again like he didn't want to waste any of the liquid. As the Lycan continued licking, his tongue eventually reached the hole in his leg and started pulling out the metal rod lodged in the leg with his teeth.

With a yelp, the cat tried to move away but he couldn't because the wolf was dragging him closer, using his weight against him. Once he managed to escape the hold on his leg he scrambled away and hid behind a tree. "Are you going to kill me?" He asked the Lycan cautiously when he saw the male turning toward him once again. As the Lycan looked up at the young cat he gave another low growl and walked toward him, his eyes never leaving the other.

Caleb saw his legs were starting to heal, the saliva of the Werewolves can do that and he was grateful that he found him but once he saw the Lycan approaching him, his body went into a sudden heat. It was unexpected, he wasn't supposed to have his first heat until he was eighteen and had found his Mate but for some reason, he was going into an early heat and he was helpless and at the mercy of the Lycan who seems to have gone into a sudden Rut himself.

No, wait.

The Tiger thought back to when the Lycan appeared in front of him. Why wasn't he in pain as he initially was before the Lycan came? Well, that was simple, the Lycan was already having his Rut and was releasing strong pheromones which calmed him. Did he do that? He could not have. Right.

"Stop hiding away from me, little kitten." The Lycan warned but the cat stayed rooted to where he was, claws digging into the bark of the tree he hid behind. It was a useless attempt at hiding because all the Lycan needed was one leap and he would be pinning him to the earth in seconds. The fact that he couldn't run away because every step the Lycan took drew nearer to him, and added more and more pressure on Caleb's heart. Why does it matter anyway?

"Please...stop! I don't want to die!" He cried, shaking slightly and holding his tail between his legs, hoping maybe if he showed enough fear the wolf would leave. That hope lasted five seconds before the Lycan lunged at him with a growl. In one quick movement, Caleb managed to slip away from the wolf's grip, making a mad dash away. He ran, jumping over rocks and fallen trees as fast as he could, his tail held between his legs and ears pinned back against his head.

He was completely terrified. Afraid the Lycan would devour him but then again wouldn't it have made sense if he had just chewed out his leg earlier rather than heal him only to chase him and capture him then kill him? Maybe the Lycan just loves to play with his food first before he eats it. Either way, the cat wasn't going to stick around to find out.

All he wanted was to hide somewhere safe but the sound of snapping branches and heavy breathing filled the air around him. 'Damn it! I have to lose him.' The cat thought frantically, running even faster. He heard the growls getting louder and more ferocious behind him, he could hear the crackle of a fire and smell the burning of leaves. The Lycan was setting the forest on fire with his rage that the little Cat who dared send him into Rut was running away from him. The scent of blood filled the air and the cat knew there was no way for him to win this race. He tripped backward, rolling down a hill, his tail still tucked between his legs. Before he could stop he hit the ground with a heavy thud, a scream tore out of his throat and he curled into himself.

Tears streamed down his face as he felt something warm and wet trickle past his ear. 'Shit!' The tiger yelled to himself, flinching as he heard a large foot stomp down next to him. This time though there was nothing gentle about the footsteps. They sounded like thunder echoing in his ears as he closed his eyes in despair. 'This is it. This is it for sure.' He thought resignedly. His body immediately tensed and he jerked forward in a protective crouch. He opened his eyes slowly and stared into glowing red orbs, the Lycan's eyes seem to be on fire! What kind of a Lycan is this? He wondered but the Lycan didn't let the thought settle in his mind before he was pressing him into the earth with giant hands.

At that point, he wasn't sure he was staring into the eyes of the Lycan who had saved him from the trap and helped his leg heal. This Lycan looked batshit crazy and it scared the hell out of the Tiger.
