(Elaine’s POV)
I was enjoying my breakfast when a butler—black shiny hair with ear length bangs covering half of his forehead and one of his eyes—His dark brown eyes shot me a glance as he stepped near Madam Rhea and whispered something to her. Madam Rhea replied back, before motioning her hands to another butler—one who was standing at the side of the dining hall as if preparing for any call. A few moments after that, the same butler returned to the dining hall with a black purse on the tray in his hands. Madam Rhea picked up the purse and unzipped it. Then, talking something again with the black haired butler, she handed him an object that looked like a piece of card. After that, the butler politely excused himself.
I trailed off the butler’s slender figure and accidentally muttere, “Beautiful…”
“What is it, Elaine?”
I flinched, turning my head to Madam Rhea’s direction. She threw me a questioning look as she blinked her eyes.
“N-Nothing…” I
Hello guys! Akarin here! I am very sorry for the unprecedented break. I was actually struggling a bit with the trial scene because I am no attorney nor lawyer and I've never been to a court before, so I have to do a bit of research to get the gist of it. By the way, yeay~ Rose Chadwick is finally down. I am so happy that she went to jail, although she's also one of the characters that I created, but hey, gotta have antagonists in your story or there would be no spice. Then again, thank you so much for reading up until this point. Updates will be daily again starting tomorrow so expect the amazing climax! Ciao~
(Elaine’s POV) Mister Michaelis?! I stood up from my seat in surprise. “W-Why is he here?” The butler then bent his upper body slightly. “Young Master Asher asked me to bring him here. Master Michaelis said he wants to see you.” I pursed my lips. Earlier when I was discussing with Madam Rhea, she told me that rescuing me wasn’t informed to everyone in my surrounding. “It’s not a secret actually, but we’re short on time to let our allies know.” Madam Rhea’s heart giggled resounded in my ears. Honestly, I too am surprised by this unprecedented event, one where I am brought the Ildian family instead to Mister Ruperts house. Because of that, everyone, my aunt and her family, the secretaries, all of them didn’t know about it. I was really worried that the impatient guest might be my aunt, but I guess she never cared of me in the first place. I wasted my time to seek love of someone who didn’t even love me back. And n
Rhea Madam Rhea gazed silently at the screen of her phone. On it, was a text message sent by an unknown messenger wishing for them to meet. Albeit curious as to how this person was able to have her private number, she was more curious when the content of the message stated that the mysterious messenger is able to provide evidence to Elaine’s domestic abuse case. She ought to let it be, to let the case disappear just like that, but as someone who has experience in handling insatiable person like that Rose, she knows this case won’t simply stop with just that when Rose spotted Elaine in public. When that time comes, it was her duty to protect as the young girl’s new guardian. A knock on the glass window of the car shook her from her daze. Through the tinted glass, she saw a figure leaning in closer, it’s face was in full display in front of her. “Aren’t you…” Her brows creased in surprise. The person outside the window mouthed a HELLO before for
Asher “Elaine.” Asher called. The two of them were having lunch together in the dining room after playing two more round of Jenga, Elaine beating Asher in each game. “What is it?” Elaine mused, having a good mood when she managed to defeat Asher. She knew how skillful a person called Asher E. Ildian is, paticularly his achievements in school. Yet she had never imagined to be able to talk to him. Perhaps it’s luck, or it’s just simply conicidence. “I heard you were talking with my mother this morning. What were you talking about?” He inquired. The young girl pondered whether to tell him or not. However, by no means Asher is Madam Rhea’s son, and it wasn’t that much of a secret anyway so he has the right to know. “It’s nothing much, we just talked about the documents inside the brown file.” Asher’s eyebrows rose. “The brown file?” He paused when an image of Elaine clenching a brown file last night appeared in his mind. “Ah, that…”
(Elaine’s POV) “Good morning, Miss Elaine.” Mia greeted me as she pulled open the curtains, letting the bright ray of sun light to invade my bedroom. I squinted my eyes for a bit, my hands rose to protect that pair of globe. “G-Good morning, Mia…” The maid nodded. “Now now, Miss. You need to wake up and prepare early so you won’t miss school.” Mia strutted beside me and like a skillfull maid she is, successfully drag me out from bed in one go and brought me to the bathroom for the usual morning routine. With, of course, my wailing of fear consisted of “NOooooo…” Or “Let me go….” The beauty morning routine is cut short, fortunately, because of school which will start in about an hour from after I finished wearing the outfits Mia prepared for me. “Uh, don’t you think, I should just wear my usual outfit?” I inspected my clothes—white long sleeved shirt paired with red and green square patterned knee length skirt—then complet
(Elaine’s POV) “Elaine!” It was Asher, and his chirping voice sounded strangely happy to see me. Was he that happy to see me? Maybe not. But... “Oomph!” I was pulled into his arms in a tight hug. The two of us began to sway when he rocked my body as he hummed happily, as if, all the other students who gave him a strange look as they passed the school gates weren’t even exist. “How was your sleep last night? Did you sleep well?” He leaned in to level his head with mine. In a distance, I saw another figure silently coming closer behind Asher’s back. I nodded in hesitation, perhaps a signal that Asher seeks as he nodded while heaving a relieved sigh after my response. “Alright, thanks guys. I’ll contact you later.” Asher said while he stood straight again, eyes gazing between the two unknown guys who safely escorted me all the way to the school gate. The two of them grinned sheepishly, before out of nowhere, one of t
While it was normal for most young people to hang out and have fun after school, Asher’s trip with Elaine felt like bringing a restless child for her first sightseeing. Asher kept his eyes on Elaine who kept drifting apart from him and began touching random stuffs inside the arcade the two of them visited.“Asher, what’s this?” Elaine inquired excitedly, pointing at the crane machine with stuffed animals as the prize.Asher snickered and shook his head before stepping towards Elaine. “This is called crane game. It lets you keep any prize you get from that pile.” He pointed at the colorful and cute stuffed animals which were scattered inside the closed space of the machine.“Wanna try it?”Elaine nodded fast.Asher then pardoned himself to buy some tokens. Returning, he gave Elaine all the token for her to try the game.Surprisingly, in two tries, Elaine managed to obtain a cute, pink colored st
AsherAsher felt his heart clenched in pain. Just a few minutes ago, those stiff lips were forming the most wide and beautiful smile he had ever seen, now all that’s left were a thin fine line of her lips, unmoving although her eyes were drenched from her own tears. He pulled Elaine into his arms and ribbed her back, a few moments after that, Elaine buried herself as she sniffled, her small body trembled greatly, perhaps from the sobbing, or perhaps from the unwaning fear. The young teenage boy heaved a sigh. His mind is a blend between tired and also concerned about her. It feels muddled yet he don’t want to do anything about it, as if his energy is already depleted. He again heaved a long sigh, before sauntering to the bed. Then, with all his might, he fell on the bed and enjoyed the sinking sensation he felt as he sank on the thick and cold duvet. Having a duvet with dual function really helps with the season~At the same time, Asher didn&r
ElaineThe memory of the young teenage girl named Elaine Ozark was a bit hazy. She couldn’t remember much except for the loud blaring of guns and people shouting, and also the warmth of Asher’s hands that cupped her ears. Those hazy memories felt like a dream to her, like an illusion that her panicked self probably imagined, like what she did most of the time. But if what she experienced—those anxiousness and those fears—was a trick on her mind, then…“Is this place a trick of my mind too?” She mumbled, one hand at her chin as she pondered. The amount of blood gushing to her ankle didn’t faze her anymore, much like the sensation of thick blood spraying on her body and face. The most she did when that metal scented liquid sprayed on her face as it poured down filling the membranous floor was a gasp, because some of the liquid entered her mouth.“Ugh…” She wiped her lips with her clothless
