Chapter Three

Her body shuddered with cold and fear.

She knew for sure what he meant by 'collabo,' and she , God forbid, would never agree to that.

'So what do you say... You see, I can handle this small body of yours.”Her stomach twisted in fear and disgust.

Run!! Run!! Run!! Her mind told her that running was not the problem; how was she getting away from these two intoxicated men?

Her eyes scanned across the room; there was a window…

How is she going to escape?

Without a careful calculation, she ran between the two men with what she would call speed, her heart thumping loudly.

A rough palm caught her by the arm, midair.

'Feisty Bañe!' He cursed, dragging her back to the position.

Her body was shivering with both fear and the cold as waves of chilling breeze blew.

Lightning struck between the clouds, serving as a torch, giving her a glimpse of his aggressive face.

He was light-skinned scarified. Large full lips, blackened by the series of cigarettes that were hung on it.

A half, lustful smile crept on his lips as he stared down at her in awe.

'So stupid of you to think that you can actually run away from us,' his cold hands went for the buttons of her pinafore, which was damp.

He pinned her to the dusty ground, her head hitting the floor and inhaling the cemented dust from the ground.

She watched as his hands reached for his belt, through her lashes, blurred with tears and dust, feeling completely numb and weak.

Perhaps this is the life she was going to live!Completely numb and weak, her mind was finally accepting the fact that the worst was about to happen.

These guys were too powerful for her; worse, they were intoxicated, and they were twice as capable compared to her slim, slender, weak body.

She had no strength at all; she couldn't even move a cupboard, not to mention fighting drunkards who were stronger and older than she.The fair-skinned 'demon' stripped her of clothes and got on her.

Her nose found the smell of dried sweat and that of igboo (Indian hemp) on his shirt.

Oh, how life was so cruel.

Was she paying for being disrespectful to Maa and running away from home? What kind of girl would leave home around 7:30 in the evening and land in an incomplete building??

Definitely, she saw this coming! Her happiness has long been snatched away from her, and now, her pride too?

But who dares?!

Who had the guts to rape her after she left home in search of happiness?

Who would dare?!

Perhaps she prescribed her misery.

Life was unfair!

She could feel the familiar taste of anger climbing from her chest, pulsing in her lungs.

Getting raped while trying to stray away was not part of the plan!!!!!!

Who dares?

Who would have the guts to do this to her?

No!She wouldn't let this bastard win.

No motherfucker would violate her and paint her as a victim for the rest of her life!!

Her eyes flew open with rage. With a newfound strength, her hands pushed him off with every ounce of strength, her teeth gritted in fury.

She pushed the stupid chest off her, gritting her teeth in anger and violence. The man landed on his butt, totally losing balance, and she ran to the rodless window.

Her movements were fast and violent, but sadly, not a match for the pervert.

One of her skinny legs was already out when an evil arm drew her down, grazing the insides of her thighs on the harsh, rough surface of the concrete bricks supporting the window. Her back harshly fell on the floor, and her eyes tightly shut in agony.'B·tch, come back here, where are you going?” He slapped her angrily, gritting his teeth in anger.

She whimpered,bitterness stirring inside her.

Something bitterer than anger, she sank her teeth into his bare chest, making him groan.

With a new strength, she ran out of the cursed building, shivering.

The rain poured down heavily on her half-naked body, which was now stiff with goosebumps. She ran to nowhere in particular; she just wanted to be away from those dangerous creatures. She ran with a numb chest, her fears slowly replacing the strange bravery of hers.Alone in the dark, alone on the quiet streets while everyone enjoyed their weather for two under their wonderful blankets.

Life was indeed unfair!!! Her life had crumbled to dust in less than an hour. She ran for what seemed like hours, anger still pouring out of her chest.Angry at everyone, angry at life itself!!

She was angry at the evilness of the world She was angry at the fact that life was like this to her!!Her heart thumped in gaps, her lungs shrinking from within. She then stopped as she reached the main road, which was scanty of vehicles. The rain wasn’t merciful; it landed on her with whips.

Her mouth gaped like a fish as the cold bit her skin.

She was safe now, he was far away at this moment, he wouldn’t catch her again.

Squatting on the muddy ground, she wrapped her arms around her legs, shivering as the rain grew heavier.A black sport utility vehicle (SUV) parked in front of her, the headlights piercing into the rain, forming a rocket cone. Her survivalist instincts piqued, and she got on her feet, trying to act calm, but the thought of the car owner being a kidnapper sent adrenaline to that shaky, skinny leg of hers.

Kidnapping was very rampant, something that was everywhere and anywhere.

Even a full-grown adult could be kidnapped in broad daylight, let alone a skinny young teen who ran away from home at nighttime.

She took steps backwards, turned around, and was about to run.

‘My, my, my,’ a deep, powerful, masculine voice spoke from behind, sending shivers down her spine.

She stopped in her tracks, feeling the strong aura that the voice held, almost as if it were that of god.

It sounded stupidly familiar even though she couldn’t place where she heard it from.

The voice sounded like cold water to her roasting chest, air in her choking chest.

Who was this?

She turned around, slowly sweeping her gaze up; her eyes found a tall, dark figure with sunglasses. He was full-bearded and muscular; even though he was clad in a black suit, he looked like an athlete in suits.

He gave her a side smile, shoving his hands into the pockets of his pants.

‘S-stay back, who are you?’ Her squeaky voice trembled as she spoke.‘Oh come on, don’t you need help? Get in the car,’ he said, trying as hard as possible to be polite.

His voice made her dizzy; it was as if it was too strong for her ears.‘Why should I trust you??’ She fired; obviously her ‘bravery’ had returned. His eyebrows heightened in surprise. Wow, what an interesting lady, he thought.

‘Because you don’t have a place, umbrella, and extra clothes,’ the gentleman said and her eyes widened in realization.

‘How sure am I that you are not a kidnapper??’ She screamed back, the rain drowning her thin voice.

‘If I was one, you would have been groaning in my car trying to escape by now,’ he said, completely enjoying the little chit-chat he had with the frustrated teenager.

Monalisa bit her lips in defeat; she didn't understand why but a part of her wanted to follow this stranger.

But what if he was a kidnapper in disguise?? Even if she took him to court, he would defend himself, saying she was the one who gladly walked into his car.‘C’mon, you are going to catch a cold with those clothes anyway. Why are you outside home at this time of the night??’ He asked, roaming his eyes on the skinny girl who had on a pair of a torn singlet and BM shorts. His smile was unhideable; he truly appreciated the outlines of her body.

His eyes glowed red quickly and came back to normal at the sight of her. ’The same reason you are out by this time of the night looking for a sit to take home,’ she fired back in anger.

She hated being asked silly and unnecessary questions; it only made people justify her actions.‘I would have found girls much prettier than you before now, so come in, would you?’ he said, and she felt a string in her chest.

She was insecure about her looks, and him making such an evil comment only made things worse.‘Go away!! I don’t need your help!! she screamed and turned to leave when he spoke.

‘It would be a pity if those agboros (thugs) caught you again,’ his voice said, and her eyes widened in surprise.‘How did you—’‘I know everything, my dear,.. cut in. ‘Anyway, since you don’t need my help, bye then, see you later, brown eyes,’ he said with a smile before driving off.

It was then she remembered that it was actually raining and she was deserted She made her way to nowhere in particular, walking and shivering in the cold. Her biggest prayer now was to not meet the agboros again.

She knew for sure that he would k·ll her and punish her if he ever caught her.

Without shoes, her legs felt the cold, muddy ground, and she walked on the streets searching for a place to stay.

‘Where are you?? If I catch you, eh you go see Pepper’ She heard a loud, threatening voice echo, and shivers ran down her spine The drunkard!! He was really out there looking for her??

Her heart was beating drums as her shaky legs kissed the ground. She found a small bush and hid behind a tree, trying to catch her breath, her chest rising and falling in rhythm.

‘Show yourself.’ His voice thundered, and she shivered the more as fear engulfed her.

A small gasp escaped from her trembling lips, and in no time, an angry arm drew her out of the hideout.

‘Today, you will get to know who you messed up with.’ The animal growled as he covered her with slaps and blows.

Monalisa was weak. But that didn’t mean she would give up…

She struggled and struggled with all her might until she finally bit his nipples until he bled.Like a zombie, she ran back to the main road, hoping the stranger would come back again. Now she didn’t care whether he was a kidnapper or not; all she wanted was to be away from this drunkard.

Please show up,’ she silently prayed while searching keenly.

Like magic, the black sport utility vehicle( SUV) parked in front of her, and her joy knew no bounds.

The car opened, and the creature stepped out, a smile plastered on his handsome, dark, bearded face.

Her eyes were becoming heavy and dim, and she could feel her numbness intensify until her eyes finally closed into oblivion.

The vampire smiled at the brown-eyed girl who was now unconscious and covered with mud.‘I knew you would come back to me, he whispered, caressing her cold, smooth, innocent cheeks before taking her up in his arms.

  • HER BLOOD IS MINE (The Vampire’s Obsession)   A Very Loud Heart

Chapter Six: A Very Loud Heart A black vehicle stopped in front of the duo, and they both stepped in, although one of them reluctant. As the door closed, Monalisa felt like her freedom was being torn away from her. Wait. Why did she follow him in the first place? She should have just run away and… Not so fast. He was a vampire. Running away wouldn't be a good idea. As much as she wanted to escape, she still needed her life. It was the only precious thing she had now. Making sure there was a complete distance between them, enough to fit two grown adults, she leaned against the tinted window. Her gaze fixed outside. She watched as the town went about its heavy everyday traffic. Markets buzzed on both sides of the road. Women sold vegetables, fish, fruits. Men did extra mile work carrying hefty goods. The sun was sky high, its effect strong enough to drain the strength from everyone. That was the lifestyle here. Marketing and hustling weren't things to joke with. What is he ke

  • HER BLOOD IS MINE (The Vampire’s Obsession)   The Bath

Chapter Five: She kept blinking like a fool, her tongue dry and all her words nowhere to be found. Oh heaven, please slap me. Let me wake up from this motherfucking nightmare. She prayed, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks. "Am I clear, my dear?" He growled again, and the sight of his fangs made her flinch. She nodded, trembling. He let go of her waist and backed away. She rushed to the bathroom and slammed the door shut, heart banging out of her chest. The night creature smiled at her departure before walking to the mirror. The image of her frightened brown eyes made his already red eyes glow more. She was delectable in his eyes.&&&& She closed her eyes as warm water from the shower touched her delicate, mud-covered skin. The earth had dried on her, so she soaked to let it come off. Slowly, she took off the torn singlet. Water kissed her bare, fairly matured chest. She scrubbed again before removing her shorts. Then her mind drifted to last night. A wave of after-fea

  • HER BLOOD IS MINE (The Vampire’s Obsession)   “I’m not Biting you, Not Yet”

A sweet smile spread across her slim face as she ran her skinny hands on the soft mattress that soothed her back. She was feeling refreshed and strong, nothing like the previous night. Her hands inched further, that smile spreading like butter until she felt something warm. Hairy. A chest. Her eyes flung open. She sat up fast, heart slamming. Where was she? And who was this shirtless guy beside her? "Oh, you're awake. Good morning, brown eyes." His deep voice greeted her, but all she could do was blink and gulp. Then the events of the night crawled back into her small head. "Where am I?" she asked, almost rudely. "A hotel. In a room. With me. On the bed." His voice was hoarse, like he'd just woken up too. The way he chose his words made her feel guilty for reasons she couldn't explain. She scrambled off the bed, away from him. Had he done something to her while she slept? Why were they in a hotel together? Same bed? Okay, whatever. He saved her. Fine. Now she
