I was in so much pain. The darkness consumed me and was eating at me alive. One of my greatest fears was darkness and now I felt suffocated by it.It felt as if I was being pulled down and plugged into a never ending pool of black while I tried resisting it.Eventually I managed to resurface from the sea of darkness that was drowning me.As come to, I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't open them. My eyelids felt so heavy as if glued together. Eventually, I managed to open them after what felt like eternity.

The first scene that graced my view was the dimly lit room that I was in which was very unfamiliar. It smelled of antiseptics and medicine which I was not so fond of but had to get accustomed to at some point in my life.
